I had an appointment yesterday for a cataract evaluation. Dr. Bausch was OK, but not very personable. The staff was great. However, their scheduler was out yesterday and I was given her card to call today to schedule my surgery. I called her this afternoon and didn't even get to finish my sentence before she interrupted me and just said she would get back to me by next Wednesday. Not tomorrow, next Wednesday. I tried to speak again and she interrupted me again and repeated she would get back to me by next Wednesday. Well, I don't spend my hard earned money with people like this. Review Regarding Leah, Amber, and Dr. Kanoff - My first time here. First of all, I have super high anxiety when it comes to eye related things. I've passed out at the eye doctor before multiple times after panic attacks. I came in 3 days after an ER visit. I went to the ER on a Sunday, eye swollen shut, with something "stuck in it" - they told me I must have washed it out, because all that was left were scratches. Come weds, my eye was still in so much pain, it was watery, swollen... I was referred here by family, so I called Weds morning. Leah answered, and was super accommodating to me as far as appointment times, insurance information, and other paperwork. It was seamless and painless. The office was comfortable, they took me back to my appointment right on time. I met Amber and Dr. Kanoff, explained what had happened, and told them I was still insistent that something was still stuck in my eye. My anxiety issues were translated to the doctor beforehand, so I didn't have to go over it again which I genuinely appreciated. They were both so accommodating to my anxiety. They kept stressful things out of view (tools used to extract something out from up underneath my eyelid, my eyelid had to be flipped out), kept me informed, told me exactly what to do what not to do, and were friendly and reassuring. That was the first time that I had gone through something like that without passing out. I can't thank or compliment them enough on their professionalism, and kindness. I WASa dedicated patient of Dr.Bausch. That's until a miss communication between the girl that said if my eyes weren't dilated the dr. couldn't tell if there was a problem with my post op cataract surgery. So I said ok. When I got on to see Bausch he said I didn't need to be dilated and still need to pay the $60.00​. I told him I want it billed to my insurance since it's not my fault that his staff gave me false info. He snapped at me & said" just pay the damn bill, your going to have to pay it anyway." I tried to talk with him as he hurried out of the room he was saying out loud, yelling at me" it's not my job, talk to his office manager he doesn't have time for this" everyone in the waiting room heard. I was mortified. He didn't give 2 craps. When money was paid, he was civil, when there was a problem, he yelled an dismissed me like a defiant child. Dr Bausch was extremely rude and nasty. I had cataract surgery a few years ago by Dr Ahdeih at Lehigh Valley Center for Sight a few blocks over. I would recommend Dr Ahdeih. Dr Bausch's staff was very nice, all went well until Dr Bausch came in. My sister and I took our mother in to see him after her eye doctor sent us. She has problems hearing and comprehending things. He did his best to ignore us and any questions we had. He seemed annoyed that we were even there. I would recommend him to no one. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I was referred to go here after I was discharged from the hospital. I was told that I am experiencing symptoms of MS and should see an Ophthalmologist for my optic nerve while I wait to see a neurologist. I was just following the orders I was given by the doctors in the hospital. Dr. Bausch came in and barely said a word to me. Immediately felt like I was being attacked on why I was there because he cant diagnose MS. He lacked basic patient care. He was rude and mean, had no compassion at all. Made me feel stupid for asking questions. I would NEVER EVER suggest anyone to go here. I can't believe how he treated me and made me feel. read more

Several years ago, Dr. Bausch was able to diagnose and resolve a serious eye issue I had. Pleased with his expertise and professionalism, as well as the care and friendliness shown by his staff, I decided to remain with him as a patient. Recently, I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. The process involved a patient education component, options for payment, surgery, and many post-care visits. Most importantly, Dr. Bausch took the time to determine the best option for me so that I could enjoy a full range of vision. During the surgical procedures, it was evident that Dr. Bausch was an outstanding surgeon. He was also very compassionate, concerned about my well-being every minute. Additionally, the staff at both the surgical center and office provided outstanding care. I cannot compliment Dr. Bausch and his staff enough!! The staff is super friendly; that alone is a big deal in a lot of doctor's offices. Add that to Dr. Bausch's great knowledge and skill as a surgeon, and it's amazing. My Mom had cataract surgery done by Dr. Bausch, and from the first appointment to her most recent, I was nothing but impressed. I would recommend him to ANYONE looking for a great ophthalmologist. I was even chatting in the waiting room with someone who had lasik and she was thrilled, too. I found him to be warm and caring (very dynamic and with a lot of energy lol) and not awkward, like a lot of doctors tend to be.
