I've tried everything I was told to do without any relief. I was convinced it was something else - so I went to this office for a second opinion. It's Penn right - it has to be good. I had a good experience in the office & felt like they took me seriously & gave me a thorough exam. They confirmed nothing was wrong - and it was dry eye giving me the blurred vision. I left & continued the drops & night gel & still nothing works And i continue to have severely blurred vision. 2 more months & I couldn't stand it & looked for a third opinion & made an appointment with Wills Eye 2000 Hamilton Street in Philadelphia. I saw a Dr. Harris - who within 5 minutes into examining me said - you have mild dry eye - which absolutely is not the cause of your problem. An hour later after many tests I was properly diagnosed with posterior capsule opacification (PCO) & am scheduled for a YAG laser capsulotomy next week. It's a quick outpatient procedure for a fairly common problem that should restore my vision. Thank you 2000 Hamilton Wills Eye. Penn Eye Media - you had a big miss here.

Despite being unable to confirm my copay or deductible, they pushed for upfront payment because of their internal insurance system outage. That is not standard practice. The front counter and waiting area were disorganized, unclear billing logic, and zero respect for scheduled appointment time. Dr. Howard Kushnick was present but disengaged from the breakdown occurring at the front desk, while basic patient intake remained completely unresolved. At that point, I requested my insurance and credit card back and left without being seen. The recurring themes in other reviews--extended delays, administrative inefficiency, and payment-first aggressiveness--were directly experienced. If you read the other reviews here -- believe them. I can confirm. Patients should be aware: expect significant delays, unclear billing practices, and a process that does not reflect a well-managed clinical environment.

I wear monthly contact lenses and I do have a poor habit of sleeping with them on. Knowing that last year, she had prescribed me a higher quality of monthly contact lenses. She doesn't shame but just understands and she helps improve where I'm at. I think she's a wonderful healthcare provider and I do feel she cares about her patients. I really should take my contacts out every night. Sorry Dr. Patel! I'll do better :D This year, she made sure my eyes were healthy and my prescription were appropriate. Good news: my eyeballs are healthy. Her team is very competent and I really appreciated them reviewing my insurance plan benefits ahead of the appointment to ensure we knew what the plan was okay with this year. No new frames this year because I got them last year. That reminds me, I'm suppose to give them a call to order my contact lenses for the year. We gave this prescription a trial to see if I like them before they'll order them for me. They're great and I'm so happy to have them as part of my health.
