The new receptionist, Paula, was not very helpful and she lacked appropriate customer service skills. Paula recently replaced the original receptionist who retired after decades of service. Paula was unable to tell me the day when oil would be delivered to my house so that I would be able to make arrangements with my employer to be home for the delivery. She explained that I could just leave cash or a check at my house for the driver to pick up whenever he was going to make it there in the next 2 weeks or so. This just seemed unreasonable to me. I would think there would be some way to know when, approximately, the oil delivery would occur. There were a few other issues which I discussed with Paula, but she continued to be difficult and borderline rude. As a result, I will never order my heating oil from this company again. I will also hire another HVAC contractor to install ductless units into my house this spring. Leighow Oil Company should fire their new receptionist!

The problem was that we had no control of the temperature in the two downstair zones. 10 months, 4 visits, and about $1800 in bills later, they finally found the problem: a clogged 10' copper fuel line. I could have replaced that line with PVC for about $10 dollars, yet Dent specifically itemized $500 for replacement of that line! When I asked in writing for a more detailed itemization of that item, the response was another invoice for the same amount + a late payment fee. Dent installed two furnaces in my house including the ducting throughout our 19th century home. We had worked with Terry Dent, son of Robert G., happily for 30 years. Terry's son, Justine, then took over the business and everything seems to have gone downhill from there.
