When I got my new insurance I had to choose a new doctor and Dr. Alcocer with the Spanish Hills Medical group was recommended by my wife's doctor. I was a little worried when I called in mid January to make an appointment and they had to schedule me in mid February. They explained later on that one of the doctors in the group had just retired and that the other doctors had to make up for all those extra patients. They gave me a call the day before to confirm my appointment and told me to come in a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. I arrived 15 minutes early, filled out a stack of paperwork and then waited to be called. They called me in about 5 minutes later. Woah. 5 minutes...that's awesome. I had an awesome nurse who took all my vitals and got me ready for my appointment and then about 5 minutes later I was visited by Dr. Alcocer. He had an amazing demeanor. He seemed like he was not in a rush at all...he acted like he wanted to know everything about me and what he could do to help me with my regular issues like my asthma. He gave me all the prescriptions that I needed with 6 months of refills so I didn't have to worry about waiting for my pharmacy to call in for authorization. That was such a relief from my previous doctor. All in all the whole appointment took maybe 20 minutes, 30 minutes tops. I was completely impressed with the whole experience and I look forward to having the Spanish Hills Medical Group and Dr. Alcocer on my side when it comes to my health. :0)

Alexis Murray is the BEST. She is very attentive, lets you fully explain yourself & your concerns, speaks to you so respectfully, doesn't gaslight you & tries to see things your way so that she can better understand you, & she respects your personal beliefs, & does not come off judgmental nor does she make you feel stupid. Lately we have been going to see Alexis Murray for my son almost once monthly. She is always so patient and detailed with us. She explains herself very well & lets us as parents feel safe enough to ask her many questions & figure out how to go about things in regard to my son's health. She also is so reassuring and makes us feel safe!!! She is a gem there. Astrid is a medical assistant there at Primary Medical and she was also very attentive with son. She made him feel very comfortable and made him laugh. When you have little kids all the little things matter & when they take the extra steps to make sure your child is comfortable it puts us as parents at ease. Just to wait 3 weeks to get a letter from the DMV that my paperwork was incomplete... I went back and told them I got a letter saying they need to fil out that page and they said they didn't need to fill out that page, and that it's not required "from their experience". They made my pregnant girlfriend drive all the way home to get the letter from the DMV as proof that they need to fill out that page. Telling her "just come back tomorrow". No we need this ASAP!!Since it's not their license they don't care!!! Went back with the letter and they finally filled out the missed page. They then said we have to take it into the dmv office ourselves, when the last time they faxed it over. They said they can't do that. We told them well you guys faxed it over last time. They said they'll check and see. Anyways they said the faxed the new copy over to the dmv office. I've been waiting for a month and got frustrated so I went to the DMV safety office and took the paperwork and said they hadn't received the second copy from the doctor. They never received an email of fax from them with the updated copy. Maybe the email or fax didn't go through but I feel lied to. They don't want to help you and act like it's mission impossible. Like it's too much work, as if they weren't getting paid to do exactly that. Oh and their office doesn't have emails only fax. And whenever you call it always "busy" and will be on hold forever. Very dated system. Can't even email your doctor with concerns. Regret switching from Kaiser the this new insurance last year. Luckily my renewal is coming up so I'm running back to Kaiser asap never dealt with this there. I had forgotten how bad our medical system is here in the us when you have the regular coverage. Dr. warwar treated the immediate problem with cortizone as well as ordered xray imaging and physical therapy. During the initial visit, Dr. Warwar became concerned with my thyroid and the way that is was protruding from my neck. I had had a lump there since the last time I saw an MD and they said it was fine, so I forgot about it. With no symptoms, Dr. Warwar still decided I needed a biopsy after an Xray showed multiple growths. Turns out after following up with recommended Endocrinologist Dr. Westhoff I was diagnosed with Papillary thyroid cancer at 27 years old. With an early diagnosis I am able to remove the thyroid without much complication in the future other than a pill daily. Without Dr. Warwar, I truly believe this is something I would have not immediately, if ever, be worried about or even conscious of. Not only being my first consult with him, but with having a whole different issue bring me in, I am just impressed and more than grateful for what was potentially a life saving call. I will recommend Dr. Warwar to anyone I meet and continue to share this story because health CARE is so hard to come by now a days.
