My attorney displayed a lack of interest in identifying possible courses of action, opting to let opposing counsel set directions and conditions. My set fee was for all representation required in the case. But a critical document must yet be filed with the court. But when I call, I'm told that he had closed the case (which is clearly false as far as the court is concerned) and he therefore cannot do anything more. I understand that the older brother and owner of the practice is very good, but my experience is that my attorney made well more than $500/hour doing the least work he could.

One of the claims took about a year to resolve, and Elizabeth stuck with me and fought for a settlement that was well-over 10 times the original offer. This was particularly frustrating after a prior discussion--which he claimed not to recall from the day before--regarding the specifics of our arrangement as a transaction facilitator for a real estate sale. When I decided to discharge him, I was billed for two hours of work, despite the fact that the work appeared to involve little more than filling out a few inputs into a basic template agreement readily available online for free. I don't typically write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. Having worked with numerous lawyers throughout my businesses, I've never encountered an experience quite like this.
