We were very upset about losing the Dr that we trusted and loved but she made us feel as if we had known her forever. The front staff is fabulous. So nice and helpful. My child was seen by their office from birth- 7 months old until we ultimately had to switch. In…read morethe short time we had received multiple conflicting advice from the nurses and doctors, sometimes during the same visit! For example, one visit a Nurse said, great weight gain! At the same visit Doc said weight gain is concerning. One doc said she no flat spot. Other doc said big flat spot and in need of PT and helmet. I even had one doc tell me, "well, the AAP guidelines recommend XXXX, but I don't". I'm a healthcare professional myself and I have a real problem with that. The last straw was we came in for a scheduled flu shot appointment. In advance of our scheduled visit I called the nurses expressing concern about my child's diaper rash. They offered to look at it during the planned flu shot appointment. We arrive, flu shot is given, we ask the nurse to please check the rash (mind you, my child has nothing on but a diaper at this point and the nurses previously offered to do so over the phone). She tells me NO I have to make an appointment. And they are very busy right now but I can wait in the waiting room if someone becomes free. And on the way to the waiting room she says no one is available. Sigh. When I decided to leave the practice, I asked for my child's medical records to be transferred to the new practice. The admin tells me, something to the effect of, "sure, I'll just need 25 dollars and you can come in and pick them up yourself". She says, "the state of NJ allows us to charge up to $1 per page so we do". It took all of my strength to pay them, pick the documents up, and not fight with them. I didn't make a scene because I am grateful my child is healthy and grateful we are out of there before we truly needed their help. Sharing so others can be well informed when making the decision on a pediatric practice. Despite all the wonders I was told I honestly had the worst healthcare experience there.

Unfortunately, our recent visit with Dr. Fishkind was an awful experience and, without question, the worst interaction I have ever had with a doctor. He was completely dismissive of our concerns and implied that we were overreacting. His behavior toward both my preteen daughter and me was extremely rude and lacking any empathy. Parents do not bring their children to urgent care lightly. We were there because our child was in pain and needed prompt medical attention, yet Dr. Fishkind made us feel as though we were wasting his time. The experience was humiliating and deeply upsetting. After reading other reviews, it is clear there is a consistent pattern of similar behavior from this doctor--dismissiveness and misdiagnosis. It is disappointing and surprising that PM Pediatrics appears to have taken no action to address this issue. PM Pediatrics used to be a reliable and excellent option when our pediatrician was unavailable. After this experience, we will not be returning.

In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.

Very happy with the whole process from scheduling to the appointment itself…read more The location is very clean and I felt safe brining my baby there for an evaluation. I called the general number and they scheduled me at this location as it was my preference. They wets happy to accommodate and we're very friendly on the phone. I was able to fill out some forms online and had the option to also do it via paper. I was seen on time for my appointment and the process was explained to me in great detail. After are images we're taken the OT was came in and was very thorough. I was actually grateful they told us there was no intervention that was necessary and they weren't automatically trying to sell me on a device. True care!
