We have been going there for the last 9 years, and they have always been there for us. During Covid when other pediatricians offices were sending their patients to CVS and urgent care centers, the Ped Center was open, standing out in the cold to see all the children AND their families. They are there whenever I have needed them, and I have been there on almost every holiday. I have never been told no, or there is no time for my child. I was hugged and supported as my son was taken out of the office via ambulance at one of our worst moments. Romelia, the nurse practitioner called to check on me in the following days, which is rare these days. Nurse practitioner Clare McKegney has never judged or laughed at any silly questions I have. Dr Moskowitz spent many visits explaining how best to help my child, helping him to avoid the hospital, and ensuring we are making the best choices for him. I know a lot of the staff by name, and they are always kind and caring. Dr Chin, Dr Visci have always been so helpful and caring. They speak to the child, and not just the parents. My sons love all of the drs!

She has a spaced out vaccine calendar schedule, giving max 2 at a time, and didn't blink when I said we were moving to Africa... but instead grabbed my sons hand (he's 2.5 months) and exclaimed at all the adventures we were going to have. While at a well visit, I confirmed a prescription. Prescription was never sent in. I called the office the next day and was told they would talk to the doctor. Still nothing. Sent a message in the portal the next day after, and still no response. This was amongst a few other things that we had issues with in the past year, such as misdiagnosing bronchitis which urgent care did correctly. In this same time period, political emails were being sent out by the office which I'm attaching. I feel that the focus of the practice should be on quality health care. and unfortunately I don't think the quality is there anymore.

At the same visit Doc said weight gain is concerning. One doc said she no flat spot. Other doc said big flat spot and in need of PT and helmet. I even had one doc tell me, "well, the AAP guidelines recommend XXXX, but I don't". I'm a healthcare professional myself and I have a real problem with that. The last straw was we came in for a scheduled flu shot appointment. In advance of our scheduled visit I called the nurses expressing concern about my child's diaper rash. They offered to look at it during the planned flu shot appointment. We arrive, flu shot is given, we ask the nurse to please check the rash (mind you, my child has nothing on but a diaper at this point and the nurses previously offered to do so over the phone). She tells me NO I have to make an appointment. And they are very busy right now but I can wait in the waiting room if someone becomes free. And on the way to the waiting room she says no one is available. Sigh. When I decided to leave the practice, I asked for my child's medical records to be transferred to the new practice. The admin tells me, something to the effect of, "sure, I'll just need 25 dollars and you can come in and pick them up yourself". She says, "the state of NJ allows us to charge up to $1 per page so we do". It took all of my strength to pay them, pick the documents up, and not fight with them. I didn't make a scene because I am grateful my child is healthy and grateful we are out of there before we truly needed their help. Sharing so others can be well informed when making the decision on a pediatric practice. Despite all the wonders I was told I honestly had the worst healthcare experience there.

To charge this much just for an infant to be monitored overnight and have no procedures done is abusive, price gouging, and an unconscionable billing practice. There is no way that this rate can be legal. Beyond billing, here is my original experience at the location. I came to the Goreyeb PICU (Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit) for a child's post-operation observations and everything went smoothly. The doctors, nurses, and staff are all very nice and helpful. They were all very well organized from the pre-op to the post-op in the PICU (pediatrics intensive care unit). Just a few things to give you the heads-up about: 1. Generally, parking won't be free at Morristown Medical Center. The parking lots are free only up to 30 minutes, $4up to 5 hours, $7 for visits past 5 hours and up to 24 hours. However, they will validate your parking if you are attended to in the pediatrics hospital. 2. The rooms in the PICU do not have showers. You have to go to a shared shower if you are staying overnight. 3. When you are in a room, breastfeeding moms get free food trays 3 times a day. Trays include 2 sides, soup, an entrée, a dessert, and a drink. Other guests pay $10 for a tray. So guests shouldn't buy food from the cafeteria. Buying the tray is a far better deal. There was nothing special about the experience to warrant a $50,000 bill. I highly recommend that you find another hospital. I recommend that you avoid any hospitals inside of Morristown Medical Center at all costs unless you are a millionaire and prepared for the huge costs that will follow.
