I really didn't want to take this course of action, but felt I didn't have many options. I was told by representative that Canyon Legal Group would help me settle my debt for less than 50% of what I owed. I was quoted an amount and told that they guaranteed that could settle my debt for this amount, and if not they would cover the remainder. This was absolutely false and I should've known better than to believe it. I paid more than $3,100 a month for 2 years into a Global Client Solutions account. I was told that I had to use this account even though I was being charged a monthly service fee of ~$150. It took many months before Canyon Legal Group even started to settle any debts, only after making sure they had collected their fees from my account. Ultimately, they did not settle all of my debts and those that they did settle, were often for more than they claimed they would be. Even after paying ~$74,000, I was still left with multiple account unsettled. I called Canyon Legal Group many times seeking assistance, but they did not provide any help. When my wife received a court summons, they did not provide any legal representation as they had promised to. I had to settle the reminder of the accounts myself costing another ~$20,000.

Terrible! I had a…read moresituation where a person refused to sign papers and had to be served notice. After changing states, the person finally settled in their hold hometown in Indiana. The first service attempt was made by the local sheriffs dept. Subsequently, the person called and said the sheriff is a friend of hers and we would never serve her. So we could not proceed. So when then found affordable, and she promised to serve within 5 days. When the next court date was finally booked, I sent the paperwork and money order 15 days ahead of when I needed it back. I also because of the law, had to file a service request with the sheriff's dept, even though I did not expect it to be served. I had to keep following up to make sure the papers were received, Affordable never contacted me to say the papers had been received. I kept following up to see if it had been served. Finally I received a response at 8am on the morning of the 9am court hearing. Literally we were parking at the court house when the email came through on my Blackberry that Affordable was never able to serve the notice. Affordable waited until 8am on the day of a 9am court hearing to tell me they could not serve the papers. I have to file to postpone by 5pm the previous day! I was so pissed. Affordable never apologized, never offered a refund. They just basically responded with, when it gets rescheduled, send us the new papers so we can serve them. Are you joking? We would never ever use them again. Luckily, the sheriff's dept came through and the court hearing was able to proceed. No thanks to Affordable. Thanks for wasting my money and time.
