Terrible! I had a situation where a person refused to sign papers and had to be served notice. After changing states, the person finally settled in their hold hometown in Indiana. The first service attempt was made by the local sheriffs dept. Subsequently, the person called and said the sheriff is a friend of hers and we would never serve her. So we could not proceed. So when then found affordable, and she promised to serve within 5 days. When the next court date was finally booked, I sent the paperwork and money order 15 days ahead of when I needed it back. I also because of the law, had to file a service request with the sheriff's dept, even though I did not expect it to be served. I had to keep following up to make sure the papers were received, Affordable never contacted me to say the papers had been received. I kept following up to see if it had been served. Finally I received a response at 8am on the morning of the 9am court hearing. Literally we were parking at the court house when the email came through on my Blackberry that Affordable was never able to serve the notice. Affordable waited until 8am on the day of a 9am court hearing to tell me they could not serve the papers. I have to file to postpone by 5pm the previous day! I was so pissed. Affordable never apologized, never offered a refund. They just basically responded with, when it gets rescheduled, send us the new papers so we can serve them. Are you joking? We would never ever use them again. Luckily, the sheriff's dept came through and the court hearing was able to proceed. No thanks to Affordable. Thanks for wasting my money and time. Would give them a zero but not possible. Don't waste your time with them. Used them for service, as we are out of state in Buffalo, New York. She (Heather Roudebush) seemed very attentive and knowledgable on the phone and promptly responded BUT once she collected the money, we never heard from her again, despite numerous phone calls and emails. Given that time was ticking, I made a pit-stop on a trip to Indianapolis to her "office" - turns out it is a PO Box!!! A fraud all around. Do not use. I give this company one star only because I can't give them zero! We sent documents to Heather Roudebush at Affordable and have been trying to reach her for status for over a month! The voice mail is the same, "I'm out of the office today but I check my e-mail frequently" And the quickest way to get a response is by e-mailing her. Well, they don't respond to e-mails either. I found Heather online by doing a quick Google search and I'm glad I did because she got Opposing Party served within a week with very little information to go on. I received the Affidavit of Service a few days later. She responded to my emails in a timely manner. Our firm is in Atlanta and if we ever need service in Indianapolis again, we will be calling Affordable! read more

We hired this company to obtain service for us, they cashed our check and that was all they did. Cannot get a return phone call now, and of course we are out of time on service. Class Act!!!! read more

It's really unfortunate that originally I wanted to write a review for Heather because I thought the experience so far had been great. That was until I hired her. When I first initiated contact with Heather, she was extremely friendly and was so very easy to get in contact with. The day that I had actually hired her, we had exchanged around ten emails with one another in just a matter of two hours. I was impressed with her speedy responses and was confident that the actually serve onto my ex-husband would be just as quick. I started to feel a bit concerned immediately after I sent in my payment. Heather requires prepayment for her services which I believe is completely reasonable. However, after I sent her my credit card information, I sent her an email asking her to confirm receipt. Her response was simply on the lines of, "I did. Thanks!" I was a bit confused as to why at that time she didn't ask me to send in my case. You know, the reason I was hiring her in the first place. I went ahead and sent over my information via fax that day. Later the same day, Heather gave me a call asking for detailed information about my ex-husband. I was extremely impressed again with how quickly she got in touch with me and how thorough she was when obtaining all my information. She asked for me to give her a call six days later IF I hadn't heard from her. Okay, no problem. Six days had passed with no word so I sent Heather an email just for an update like she had suggested. I did not receive a response. I sent a follow up email the next day. No response. Finally, eight days after I hired her, she sent an email apologizing and said she was sick. Heather said she'd check with her agent. I didn't hear anything else for the rest of the day. On the ninth day of hire, I sent her another email checking to see if her agent had anything for her. BY THE WAY, Heather quoted me 5 attempts within 5-7 days. Obviously, I'm pretty concerned at this point and even started doing research to make sure there weren't any other reviews out there saying that she's a scammer. I didn't find anything so I tried to stay hopeful. Four days later, I received an email from Heather simply stating "He was personally served on Friday morning. I will have the report on my desk today and the affidavit out to you in the morning." This is TWELVE DAYS AFTER the hire date. The same day I emailed thanking Heather and just asked her to confirm that the affidavit that she would sending me is the one that I had faxed over from the court. No response. And guess what? I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY AFFIDAVIT. I hired Heather on 02/20/12. It is now 03/24/12 and I haven't received my papers to file with the court. Also, I have no idea whether or not they were really ever sent out or if my ex was ever really served because I haven't received any sort of correspondence. Who would have thought that the most stressful experience about suing a person would be the part where you hired a "professional" to serve papers. Unreal. read more
