The honey bee latte was good, just needed to be a little less sweet and more milk- but that's my preference. My mom's mocha latte was really dark and full of chocolate sauce and too sweet. My mom lives near here and has told me all about Baxter's, so I was excited to finally try it when I came out to visit! And yes...I had it 4 times in my 8 days I was in town :) My mom's go-to order was delicious so it was the only thing I tried this time around. It's not on the menu but a great tasty drink: A vanilla Baxter's Blitz with added cold brew. Delish! Light and not too sweet but a great flavor. I appreciate the fact that baxters uses all paper goods. It's great for the community. It's great for the world this is the first place that I've been that does it they do however use plastic forks but until they can find a better way, I can deal with that. I'm extremely happy with their paper cups and their paper boxes they go out of their way to buy For us and of course as always their coffee is amazing and the muffins are amazing and anything that you buy from them is really amazing. I just recently went to Baxter's Coffee!! It was great I had the iced green raspberry tea! My mom got the black coffee and she liked hers!! Yum !! The service is really good they are always nice! Baxter's is hands down, THE best coffee shop/business in Somerset. I go 2+ times a day... and on the weekends I order my usual drink, iced, no ice and keep in my fridge for Sunday. It stays perfect and it's ready to go when I am! They are efficient, SO friendly, no matter how big or complex my orders are... they whip them out in no time and with the best attitudes. Their Customer service is 100. Not going to lie I don't really get this coffee shops hype within Somerset. At each location I've been to the staff is always just rude and snippy. Out of all the drinks I've gotten there the only one that is actually any good is the vanilla blitz. Other then that most of the coffee drinks taste watered down and old. I guess you could say they have good times when it comes to them making a drink never had to wait in line or for my drink for more than 10 minutes which is good. Also this place for some reason this place doesn't take Apple Pay, which is my opinion extremely annoying and inconvenient. After moving back to KY I had heard great things about this place. I don't go to Somerset very often but wanted to try it while there. My husband is a bit of a coffee snob and asked for a pour over but was told they didn't do those. I ordered a flat white and 2 of the employees did not know what that was so I had to explain it. It wasn't terrible but did not live up to the hype. If you like super sweet drinks it seemed like it had potential but for the basics was a bit underwhelming. read more

This review is for the walk in Baxter's on the north end of town. The people are really friendly. The coffee is superior and they have numerous flavors to drink. They have muffins, cinnamon rolls and other foods, which are all made by them. The cranberry orange muffin is our favorite. We have been trying other food items and so far each muffin we have had has been wonderfully made. They are moist and the flavors are awesome. You can also get a Baxter's coffee card and earn point toward another coffee drink. This is the best coffee in Somerset. They don't dilly dally around to get your drink for you. They are friendly and courteous to you. We like it as it is in our opinion the best coffee in town. When you enter this store in the north as the south is closed for remodeling, you will find a variety of coffees to your left, they will grind it for you for a expresso machine or a regular coffee machine. There are a bunch of Baxter's coffee cups, travel mugs, shirts, hats and you can order a huge container of coffee for an office or party. As for the coffee itself, everyone I have had has been very good. The various flavors are good for my taste buds. My wife has tried several of the specialty drinks and again all good. When our daughters come to visit along with the grandchildren, we HAVE to stop by Baxters. That is a mandate now. They also buy the mixes and coffee so they can take it back home and make the same specialty drinks. They even have the reward cards and have gotten free drinks. If you looking for a friendly atmosphere with good food and coffee, I highly recommend to stop at one of there stores in Somerset. We live in Bronston and are partial to the North store because we can walk in pick what coffee we want to drink, look at the many choices in the cabinet with the muffins or coffee beans covered in chocolate. We enjoy the face to face interaction with the people working there. If you need any advise on what is good, they can help with that, they know their products and can provide good advice. They have not steered us wrong yet. We go into town a lot and we find it hard to pass a Baxter's. The prices are very affordable and that is one of many reasons we go there. You will enjoy the people, the food, the coffee and the atmosphere if you want to dine inside or you can also go outside and sit and eat as well. The drive up window is another convent way to get coffee at the other north store or on the south end of town in Somerset. I agree with the other folks that have commented it beats the other world wide coffee franchise hands down that is in Somerset. . HOLY %$&*! Coffee can be this good? I actually came upon this place in the most unusual of ways. I was working with someone in London, KY (about 30 minutes away) and mentioned how the Starbucks in their town is the only one within 45 minutes and I was used to getting my Starbucks fix on previous projects. They mentioned offhand that there used to be one in Somerset but it closed down because they couldn't compete with the local coffee shop there. They didn't mention the name and I didn't ask. Less than a week later I find myself in Somerset and recall this story. I asked someone in my office where the best local coffee is and they say Baxter's hands down. I really don't know what all you can say about coffee. My credentials include drinking a lot of it. This is better than Starbucks, this is better than Caribou Coffee, this is better than Coffee, Bean, and Tea. This is probably better than what you previously thought was the best coffee. In addition to all of this it has a few rooms and a front porch with plenty of seating for you to sit and enjoy your coffee and some conversation with a close friend. Coffee shops are a rarity in the South. Every one drinks soda (pop) or sweet tea day in and day out. Usually by the 2nd day I am a miserable mess depending on hotel continental breakfast and hospital coffee to survive. I was delighted that Somerset had several coffee options (including a Dunkin') but that one was home grown, and quite awesome. Over the course of 2 trips, averaging 4 days each you can guarantee I started my day with a Baxter's and had a pick me up from their LCRH location in the late afternoon. The coffee was always hot, fairly strong, and consistent. Espresso was available as well, which left me almost flabbergasted. Coffee, and more so espresso? I surely was not in Kentucky anymore, but alas I was! They also had some neat snacks and frozen drinks. I'll surely be pointing my caffeine seeking coworkers here when they are in town. read more
