about a year ago I bought 2 Danby refrigerators and 1 Frigidaire dishwasher. I have not used the dishwasher yet, as my shop has s not open. the dishwasher did not come with the top mount bracket which I didn't realize until a year later, when I had it installed the guy did not tell me the top mount bracket did not come with the dishwasher. I finally opened the dishwasher and it fell forward which is how I found out it was not mounted up too and there was no mount bracket inside the dishwasher when it arrived a year ago. I called and asked if they would please give me the mount bracket that was supposed to come with the dishwasher but they said I had to pay for it since it had been a year since I bought the dishwasher. mind you I bought two refrigerators from them as well. they would not give me the mount bracket and charged me thirty dollars to buy one when it was their mistake not having the mount bracket delivered with the dishwasher when I first bought it. I would hope they would over look that it had been a year since I purchased it and honor their end because it was their mistake that the dishwasher didn't come with the bracket. not too happy about having to pay for something that should have been included in the original purchase. When you have a good customer it's a good policy to work with them on small issues like this. read more

When an overly computerized washer quit digesting 0's and 1's, it was time for a new washer. My best friend bought a Speed Queen washer from Bay Appliance a couple years ago as it was a great "back to basics" unit and has been quite happy with it. I went with the same brand. A call on to the phone with a variety of questions was easily handled by a salesman. I went down to Bay Appliance, paid for the machine and it was delivered two days later with the old machine being hauled off as well. Clean clothes and a clean deal all the way around! read more

A while back I stopped in the store and ordered a handle for my Maytag electric dryer. The store called me to say the handle was in and I drove there from Bandon. Two women were sitting around a desk, one went to the back to vet the order, then said it wasn't there. Asked if it could be under another name, and I said no. The other woman joined her to look and both returned and said sorry, there is no order back there for you. I went to the counter telking the man there what happened, and all I got from him was an attitude that he could not care less about my driving from Bandon because their employee said my order was in. I left and got the handle from Amazon for under $5.00. Bay Appliance was going to charge me about $37.00. read more

My mom has recently moved into memory care. The bed she had was awful. She could literally feel the springs. I live in California so I was going to order a mattress from Amazon or Walmart. My fiancé was a gem and had made calls of places in Coos Bay that could deliver directly. He chose this company. We both talked to Brian and I let him know the situation. He was very kind and made sure the mattress I wanted was in stock since there was only one left. The mattress was cheaper than If I had ordered it online. A name brand that I know and trust. And there was no delivery fee. My mom received it the next day and was so happy. Talking about how wonderful the mattress felt. How nice the delivery guy was. He had taken her old mattress to throw away. Added bonus. Whenever I need anything that this company can help me with I am ordering from them. I am also going to tell the people I know who live in that area about them. I am over the moon happy with Brian's customer service and the fact that my mom is so happy. read more

We just took delivery of a new Frigidaire range, and could not be happier with the results. we made a decision to support our local merchants rather than a big box store and we're glad that we did. Darren was very helpful and so knowledgeable about the products that they sell. We also bought a range hood and a stainless backsplash, so when all parts came in, two teams came; first the delivery of the parts and a couple of hours later Chad arrived to install. Unfortunately the range that they were were replacing was a drop in, and the new is a slide in unit. So I had to enlarge the opening which meant that chad could only do so much. He returned a couple of days later to complete the install bringing a receptacle that we did not realize was needed. The install was finished in a couple of hours and it looks beautiful. Lost my business for life over $100. Bought a dented washer on a discount. $499 was the price. When it was delivered and installed, the delivery folks tested it and it was leaking from an unknown location so they called the store and told me they could come back later in the day with a new version of the same washer for the same price. This was no problem and I thought highly of Bay Appliance for being willing to do so. Fast forward a few minutes and the store calls me back and says that they will need to charge $100 more because the new washer isn't dented. I tell them this is unacceptable because it is not my problem that they put a broken appliance on their sales floor. Spoke to a woman named Jessica who kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain this. She then transferred me to a "manager" named Darren who also could not understand that it was not my problem that they sold me a broken product. Ended up taking a refund because they refused to be reasonable. Looks like it's Lowes in Roseburg from now on. read more

We've had these folks work on a ridiculously expensive Sub-zero fridge that someone had put in the relatively modest house we bought recently. They were able to get this $8,000 monstrosity back on its feet with a little smart diagnostic work and replacement of a temperature control. That was a relief. We also recently bought a replacement dishwasher from these guys. It took us a few trips to make up our mind, but each time the salesman was patient and informative. When we finally decided on one, the man they use for installation -- Cleve -- was also very good. He delivered the new unit, removed the old one and hauled it away, and installed the new one perfectly for $125 -- half of what a local well-known plumbing outfit had quoted us when we considered buying one at Lowe's or Costco. Besides a distance purchase from Lowe's, Home Depot, or Costco, the appliance choices in our town are limited to say the least. The Maytag outlet in North Bend is okay, but keeps bankers hours ... making them difficult to deal with unless you want to take a vacation day to buy a home appliance. The rude staff at Sears is beyond unhelpful. Given those alternatives, a business like Bay Appliance that's open on Saturdays, and that treats you fairly, is a real asset locals should support with their trade. read more

DO Not get Dish service from these clowns, I'm staying at an RV park that uses them for Dish service and it's been out for 3 weeks!!!!! When they finally came out to look at the problem they first claimed it was an issue that DISH needed to fix but that was a lie no they are claiming they need to order parts, what kind of fly by night company doesn't keep parts in stock to service products they sell. Absolutely the BEST service I have received in a long time. Darren and all worked to find the best possible refrigerator for me after a very bad experience at another company. They sold me a Speed Queen washer three years ago, and it has been as good as they said. Reliable. But the kicker is when my current refrigerator died 3 weeks before the warranty stopped, it completely stopped cooling and the Kenmore/Sears folks did not back their warranty with any amount of service. We are now on month 3 of waiting for a part with no end in sight and nothing to help. With the holidays just a few weeks away, and no refrigerator, it was time to bite the bullet. Well again Bay Appliance came through, found a mostly American made refrigerator ( he said that is the brand he has at his home...good enough for me, price was right and the service, set up and EVERYONE was the BEST. The guys that came and delivered took the time to remove the old beast, set it up in my garage so I can ultimately use it to store canned goods! And then set up the new one...took the time to make sure all was right and were courteous and efficient. They really know what good service is. OUTSTANDING and I highly recommend this business. Worst customer service ever by Darrin the owner. We wanted a new dish installed on another building on our property and went in on the 26th to ask about it being done. we were told the equipment would be in on the 1st or 2nd of July . I waited until the 5th to call and ask if it came in and left a voice mail. no return call so I called on the 8th at 2;45 to be told I was too impatient and they do not want to work with us even though I told him I was only checking up to make it work with our home business when it did come in. but he was adamant that how dare I even ask when it was coming . as a customer I should never ask THey can only be so rude as there is only one other provider in our area so they can be as Rude as they want read more

Not very good service as it has taken three weeks to get a defective part installed as well as a sufficient drain hose diameter and length for my Whirlpool clothes washer. It has not drained properly since day one and left my clothes sopping wet and I had to ring them out by hand and then dry them. After they got the new part it took Bay Appliance and TV almost three weeks to get a repair man to install it, not acceptable as being top rate customer service. Avoid the Service Dept since Bob retired on 12/30/18. The new service manager Darren is is piece of work. We have purchased 5 appliances from Bay Appliance over the years. The service manager Bob was a Jewell. We have had a 7 year problem with our Electrolux Refrigerator icemaker. Electrolux wanted pictures of the ice ball that had formed at the back. Bob sent technician Tom in Dec of 2017 to take the pictures. He marked the invoice no charge. Bob retired and Electrolux was not happy with the pictures Tom took. We contacted the new service manager Darren. He sent tech Eric Meer to take the picture Electrolux wanted. Keep in mind that the Fridge was working with only a bad ice maker. Eric disassembled the ice maker, took the pictures and did not reassemble the ice maker. He left the parts in a box. This killed the entire Fridge. I called Darren and told him we had no Fridge and we're moving in a month, could he reassemble the Fridge. He did not have the courtesy to return my call. He then sent me a bill for $99 on what should have been a follow up in the December call not done correctly. I have since already received a certified letter with the bill in it. This store is my "go to"! We purchased a home with appliances that came from Bay Appliance. They have been able to service those appliances and find us a replacement that matched when one died. We have bought mattresses' and even a Murphy bed from them and they have always been ready to help. They also helped us save money on our DishNetwork. Local, knowledgeable and ready to help. Why would anyone go to a huge box store in Roseburg and stare at a giant wall of appliances for more money. Shop in town and support business that support the community. read more

My mother had to go live in an assisted living facility there in Coos Bay area after being hospitalized. It was all rather sudden, and living in another state I wasn't able to get there as fast as I'd like. Her room was furnished, but did not have a TV. I called Bay Applicance after finding them on the internet and Darin could not have been more helpful and accomodating. Every person I spoke to that day was so helpful and nice. The literally took care of everything for me. Darin went out of his was to make extra phone calls trying to figure out what she needed and what would be the best solution for us. My mother had a TV in her room that afternoon. Not only did they deliver it for me they set it up for me. I can not say enough good things about these guys. My personal experience was that I was treated with kindness and consideration. Don't buy appliances here! These guys are not cool. They gave me wrong information about my appliances. They sold me a used dryer that broke a few months later, and then when I called to have it fixed they sent a repair guy that had to come back four or five times...and it is still not fixed. I tried to have them fix my oven, which they could not do, because in the owner's words 'it's an overpriced piece of junk although we still carry that brand'. I also tried to have them repair my fridge, which they also could not do. And, then, when I went in to buy a new fridge the owner was so obnoxious to me that I just walked out. When I called him to tell him he missed out on a sale, he hung up on me - didn't even try to make it right. I'm a big believer in 'Buy Local', but with people like this over-charging for their appliances and under-delivering on customer service, I understand why everyone I know drives to Eugene or Roseburg to shop at Home Depot or Lowe's. Hey, Lowe's even delivers to Coos Bay! And, don't worry about the delivery charge it is less than the markup at this local store. What a shame. read more
