they came nearly and hour and a half late (i have the texts to prove it) and the person i was communicating with was gaslighting me about the time and told me i was confused. i told him to look back at his texts (we had planned this months ago and i had re-confirmed with him a couple days before). he continued to gaslight me but i told him to please stop interrupting me and i get it that things happen and he calmed down. anyway they got there and set up extremely quick knowing they were late which was nice, the kids loved the bounce house so that was great - but deducting stars for being late and poor communication. read more

This is the second time I have used Bay Area Fun Jumpers: the first in July 2019 and again (now) in Sept 2023. They are so efficient and realiable, each time helping me navigate the bouncy house park permit process so it's easy. They call a couple days before to confirm, showed up 15 minutes early and waited, and they arrived exactly on time for pickup, even giving us an extra 5 minutes so the kids could get in once last bounce. They have a great selection of high quality bounce houses that easily house 15+ kids at once. The crew is always so nice and respectful, so it's a very pleasant exchange. Junior is so super on top of it - telling us what day he'll call us about rain (3 days before), what day he'll call us to confirm if there's no rain (2 days before), etc. We ended up rescheduling our party from Saturday to Sunday last minute and he was able to accomodate. Either excellent experience or no-shows. So I went with BAFJ instead. Junior was responsive, straightforward and honest about what he had in stock. Great on the confirmation and follow up. Made sure that the banner that he had would work for the Scooby Doo theme that my daughter had her heart set on. Mohammed and Jose arrived early to set up. They were super polite and courteous, and made sure everything was in place and stable. Muhammad thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the unit at drop off. The kids had such a great time. We definitely got our moneys worth. They were back to pick it up at the time they said they would be and left the place as if they'd never been there. I think half our block took their information because they were so impressed with the service. Also, very reasonably priced. Would use them again in a heartbeat! My review is based off my experience with the little boy who answered the phone. I did not go forward with a reservation. I called to get information about renting a jumper and whoever answered the phone was really rude. One would assume that if you are in a competitive industry where you are providing services for other people, you would at least act cordial. NO. Not in this case. He quoted me $100.00 for a regular jumper and when i inquired about whether or not I needed a generator or extensions, he replied snarkly " ugghh, why would i need a generator?!" I informed him that I resided in a condo and the party would be outside on the lawn away from outlets. JR from Bay Area fun jumpers responded quickly and was the best rate out of everyone and fastest to reply, so I gave him the business and I'm glad I did. We got the fancy 5 in 1 bouncy house which a special monster truck theme for a boys birthday. They were punctual, nice and even gave us extra time to jump while waiting to brain down. Don't be put off by the fast blunt answers. It's a small business and I think the owner is doing all communications on his own while managing gigs onsite. After looking through Yelp reviews for different companies in the Bay Area, I came to a conclusion to try them out. I spoke with JR on the phone and he was excellent! He gave me a great price for a 4 in 1 combo jumper and took the time to explain the description of what I was looking for. It was for my daughter's 1st birthday, luau themed. Come the day of the party, they arrived around 11am even though my booking wasn't til 2pm, THANKS GUYS! The set up went smooth and the jumper did not deflate at all. Oh, and the slide?! Let's just say the kids loved it! They are my definite go-to for jumpers for now on. I tipped the two men who delivered/picked up the jumper simply because they deserve it! That bounce house is not easy to carry and set up! Although they had to come back for the luau banner that I requested and didn't jot down my contact information to be able to confirm the reservation with me, they still pulled through from start to finish. This company added a lot of stress to what should have been an easy, happy birthday party for my daughter. Not only did they come almost 5 hrs. late, they were negligent on the set up which caused the jumper to collapse on most of the children. Unfortunately our regular jumper rental did not have the TOY STORY jumper, so we contacted Bay Area Fun Jumpers. The day before the party, they confirmed the delivery of the jumper for 10 am. They mentioned that they would have a busy day but assured me that we would be priority since we had booked so far in advance. They didn't show up at 10. We decided to set up tables and just keep a path for them to bring the jumper through, but by 11:30 they still didn't show (party started at noon) so I tried calling but just got an office answering machine. Near 1 pm, I apparently missed their call but the message was that they were planning to be there between 1-1:30 pm so I figured I'd get everyone to eat and it would still be fine; not easy with a house full of kids but we are all patient and understanding people. THEN they called near two and I complained big time as they were now FOUR hours late. They claim that my set-up time is 1 pm, which I point out it was supposed to be 10 am but now it is nearly 2 pm so what's their point. They said they would be there within 10 minutes (by this time, some people had left the party) and THEN they didn't show up until 2:45 pm!!!!! That is just beyond belief. I complained again and said we should get a discount, they offered to cancel -- which just shows you what poor customer service they have considering my house full of kids and no other alternatives by the time the party is slated to finish in another hour. They lowered the price a little and said they'd set up quickly, so I herded everyone to sing and eat cake, giving them time to set-up. Kids finally getting in the jumpy should've been the end of it, but 15 minutes later, the jumpy collapsed on the kids and that was just the last straw. We took a look at the back and discovered that they didn't even tie down the jumper. The air tube came off completely and the air rushed out before the kids could get out, so now we have screaming, crying kids. So we fix it and call the guys who set it up (now that we have a phone number) and they first say it never happened before then try to say it happens all the time. What?! I was so pissed off, I just let my husband handle it. Finally, they come to pick up the jumper and say they can't waive all the fees so I step back in and say I'll pay the $25 that they said was the minimum. BUT, now they will not take credit card or check. These people are shady and liars. I would normally be understanding of delays and the crazy business of kid's birthday parties but several times they tried to shift the blame to me, contradicted themselves, and just plain lied. read more
