I found it weird that we had the Jumper booked to a certain time, but they asked us to deflate it an hour in advance so they can pick it up. They did not come until an hour after pick up so we could have left it up to her more time. I would suggest discouraging asking for a tip multiple times. Let people tip you if they want to. This is not their first rodeo, so they knew what they were doing and were able to help us move furniture around as not to completely ruin our trees. The bouncy house was huge with a bball hoop and slide inside. It was big enough for about 12-15 5 year olds - it was quite massive. They were professional, quick and easy. Tech is very friendly and set everything up for us on short notice. Eric who delivered the jumper arrived around 9am and set everything up for us. It was easy peasy! First off, they don't (ever) answer the phone, preferring (always) to text. So, if you've got several questions about dimensions or delivery/pick up, thats potentially your first time sink. I had to ask 3 times to get the texter's name. I was told it was "TECH"... When I pressed for "TECH"s last name or receipt, TECH cancelled my "order." They take cash only, upon delivery, and refuse to give the renter any sort of receipt via email or otherwise. Therefore, ZERO accountability, should they not to show up for any reason. Pros: clean jump house that was fully functioning. Cons: Made an appointment on Monday for a party on Saturday. They don't do pre payments and there wasn't an electronic confirmation - just a person named Tech who confirmed my reservation. He said they would call the day prior and confirm the window of time for delivery. Friday came and went and on Saturday I called throughout the morning asking when my jumper would be delivered for my noon party. No answer and no return calls from my messages or texts. A friend eventually gets in touch with a person who says there is no record for my delivery. I eventually talk to someone who says my delivery person was in an accident. One person says they can't make it happen- someone else tells us they will - but won't be there for an hour or two. I don't know what to believe - but I spent a very long time trying to work this out - and the jumper didn't arrive until at least 1:30 which was long after my party started. The jump house wasn't exactly as we requested and they didn't even have an extension cord - so we had to dig around for one. I am incredibly disappointed in their service and wouldn't use them again. Unreliable, terrible communication, unprofessional. I contacted Bay to Bay Jumpers through their website on November 28, 2013, 3 weeks before my event on Dec 20 and got an immediate email confirmation about my order. (Great.) I replied the next business day (Dec 2) to their first email to ask a few simple questions - setup/tear down time, power supply, etc. They never got back to me. Fast forward two weeks - it is now 1 week before my event, and I still hadn't gotten a response to my questions that I sent via email to Bay to Bay Jumpers, but I figure, hey - it's still a week away. They should be able to get back to me with plenty of time about my simple questions, right? Wrong. I called and left multiple voicemails, sent emails, even submitted a new order via their website and didn't hear a peep during the entire week leading up to my event. No emails, no calls, no response whatsoever. I wasn't sure if they were going to come or not! The day before my event I ended up going with a different bouncy castle company (one that was friendly and reliable - thanks, Yelp!). The best part: The morning of my event, as the other rental company is setting up the bouncy castle, Bay to Bay Jumpers decides to FINALLY give me a call to ask if they were supposed to set up a bouncy castle for me. BEWARE!!!! They didn't show up at the scheduled time, 2.5 hours late. POOR communication! Order change at the last minute. POOR excuses! I ordered 2 weeks in advance for a kids party on Sat, Nov 10. They called me on Fri, Nov 9, to confirm the time and address. I spoke to "Tek." Everything was all good. Then he called me back at 4pm and left a mssg saying that the "Mickey Mouse jumpy I ordered had a hole in it and could they switch me to another one, like Winnie the Pooh, and they would give me a $20 discount." So, I was okay with the change since things happen and they called me right away. The morning of the party, they don't show up at the scheduled time. I had to blow up their phone and they finally called me at 1050am and said they were on their way. They didn't arrive until 1135am. I had 15 kids waiting at the party. The drivers arrive, and immediately started saying it wasn't their fault. They only get the schedule and drop the jumpy's off. So, I had the driver call "Tek" because they told me he is responsible. Tek gets on the phone, and his excuse: "One of my drivers called out sick so I had to have my other drivers add these stops to their route." I asked him "WHY DIDN"T YOU CALL TO TELL ME to let me know???" His reply, "Uh, sorry." I yelled at him for a few minutes and demanded he give me a discount, which he did, another $20. I went with this company based on Yelp reviews, and unfortunately, it was the first time I was let down. :( read more

Because of the other Yelp reviews, I was very nervous to use this company for my daughter's 3rd birthday. She wanted a mermaid party, and Bay to Bay Jumpers has a mermaid bounce house. I was having a lot of little kids over, so I needed it to definitely show up, and I was nervous to read that sometimes this company does not come on time (or at all). But in the end, it all worked out great. A little about our experience: I was immediately able to get in touch with Tek on the phone each time I called. For my initial call I left a message and he returned my call within five minutes. I mentioned my concern about the previous reviews and he told me that I was probably confused with another bay area jump rental company (or that the yelp reviewers were confused). This is not true, because they specifically mention the name Bay to Bay Jumpers in their review. So I let it go, but I was concerned. About the appointment process: we talked about what jumper would work best for us (they have photos of all jump houses online), Tek recommended a few but we needed the mermaid bounce house (which worked perfectly in the end for us), he confirmed the date/time and the availability of the jumper, and that was it. It was less than five minutes in all. (That is the reason for only four stars-- it feels really loosey-goosey-- no confirmation, nothing in writing, no contract, nothing.) One thing that might make it feel more legit would be if the reservation system was more formal. You don't put down a deposit, you don't write down your information anywhere (leaving room for error in my opinion), and it feels very unsure. In any case, the driver called the day before to confirm, which was reassuring. They came right on time to drop off and pick up. The jumper was great quality and worked perfectly all day. Thumbs up for it in all. So it worked out in the end, but I was nervous until it was in my front yard. Also, one more negative-- the guys showed up and quoted us the wrong price (more than Tek told us). They said it would cost more if we used a credit card. When my husband pushed back they said they were only kidding. Then they tried to give my daughter $5 for her birthday (which we declined), I think they felt guilty. I've used Bay to Bay Jumpers a few times now (for my 4 year old's birthday, Memorial Day holiday, and most recently for Labor Day). The gentleman that confirms the reservations has been absolutely fantastic - friendly and highly responsive. The jumpers themselves are of excellent quality! Clean and in like new condition. I like that they have so many different ones to choose from, with all the cartoon characters the kids love. They also have cool concessions to choose from, including a popcorn popper and cotton candy maker. Awesome! The only issue I've experienced with them was concerning the drivers. They arrived earlier than expected the morning of our party and seemed less than accommodating. I asked that they return between 8-9pm to remove the jumper and they didn't show up until 10:30pm. I have been using Bay to Bay Jumpers for the past 3 years and I LOVE their service. I plan a fair amount of birthday parties and sometimes I decide at the last minute to get a jumper. Tech is ALWAYS friendly, professional and accommodating. I keep their business card in my purse and recommend them to everyone I know. They are always timely and the price is extremely reasonable. I enjoy that they come early enough where my daughter has time to play in the jumper while I set up for the party. they ask what time the party ends and come to pick up the jumper when they say they do. They have a large variety of themes and sizes and will accommodate you even if you're doing something last minute. The call before they come to drop off and pick up. I called a different jumper rental company back in April to confirm a Hello Kitty Jumper for my daughter's 3rd birthday. So the last week of June comes and I call the place to confirm. Well the "owner" never called me back. So I leave one last message saying I need to cancel. Shocking, he called me back within 5 minutes trying to get me back. Too late. I had already called Bay2Bay Jumpers and spoke with Tek. He let me know the jumper I wanted was rented already, (bummer) but he had a hello kitty jumper that was a little bigger. So I asked what is the price difference... 149 dollars (total cost of this jumper is going to be 249.00) ?!? Well I was shocked when I heard the price but Tek explained that the c4 I was getting has a slide, basketball hoop, climbing wall n a jumping area. So I decided I better take this. Tek took my contact info and said someone would be calling to confirm during the week. Thursday night I received a text from Henry confirming time and date. Henry asked if it was OK if he dropped off the jumper around 8 a.m. Sure, no problem I'll be home. :) Henry called me Saturday morning around 805 saying he was a few minutes behind (no big deal but thanx for the heads up) Just after 830 Henry and the new guy show up (sorry dude, I never got your name) They got the jumper up super quick. They said they'd be back around 5 to pick up the jumper, when they got there it was closer to 530. My daughter ended up LOVING this giant jumper. She even cried when the men Came to pick it up. As others have said - great company to work with. I was hosting a 3 year old's birthday. Bay to Bay were very patient as I sent email after email trying to reserve a jumper only 2 weeks before my event. Not their fault, there just wasn't much left that close to the event. I know better for next time. Anyway, they were responsive and delivered and picked up - without a problem. The only glitch was I tried to email them the day before to ensure it would arrive on time. Never heard from them. Then with all the other details of the party, I let it go and prayed they would show up. My arrival time was quoted as 8-10am. At 10:30, my wife started to worry. I realized I had given them my cell phone number and not the home number. When I checked for messages, of course they had left 2 trying to confirm the morning of the event. I called them back and they came right over. Plenty of time before the party. Everyone had a good time and the price was reasonable. The only suggestion I would make for Bay to Bay is - get a GPS. People can't confirm mapquest directions over the phone while trying to get ready for a party. :) read more
