We came 900 miles to get our Tiffin serviced by Bay Diesel and will continue to do so. This shop is super efficient, and can be trusted to service and/or work on your Tiffin. The whole staff is great to deal with. Since they service a LOT of Tiffins, they know what they are doing and pretty fast. We've had basic engine, generator, and suspension work done over the last 2 years. They don't just mindlessly do an assigned task. We brought our motor home here for 2 reasons. It was due for annual maintenance and our dash AC was blowing warm air. First, the good. The annual maintenance was very thorough and very efficient. They got to work on it as soon as I pulled it in. We will be bringing it back here every year from now on. Now, the not so good. They took 9 hours of labor to find it was just a bad relay. They did change the AC drier and the labor involved was acceptable. What I thought was inappropriate was for me to be charged labor rates for them to lookup what maybe the issue. If they're researching a repair, it should be on their dime, not mine. The repair was completed to my satisfaction, just not happy with the excessive labor charge. read more

Went today for my annual service, also 2 tires and 2 chassis batteries. In and out in 2 hours. As I left I realized the cab AC wasn't working, turned around and went back. They got me right in spent about 3 hours figuring out what was wrong. They fixed it and said NO CHARGE IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN OUR FAULT!!!!! read more

Excellent service replacing our motorhome A/C compressor. Squeezed us in and had it replaced in about an hour!! Cool ride back to Ohio.

The techs are very knowledgeable and prompt in their service. I have used them twice and each time they have found related issues and asked if I wanted it fixed. It would be nice if they put something down on the floor of the coach, while they're in and out, as their boots track a lot of dirt/grease. I think the value is fair for the technical knowledge they have related to the product they service. The only thing that really annoys me is their scheduling/communication. If their personnel are too busy to answer the phone, you have to leave a message; but I expect a call back. Also, since I'm relatively new to the life of motorhomes, it would be nice if they provided a list of available services. All of the work performed on my coach has been excellent. read more

Took my 2012 Tiffin RED in to have cause of an intermittent engine light diagnosed and repaired. The tech came back with his report/diagnoses that he "cleared all codes which was probably the reason for the engine light coming On". This was a very incompetent answer, since of course the fault codes held the answer as to why the engine light was coming On. He didn't fix anything and just erased the reason for the intermittent engine light. This place used to have good service but has clearly gone down hill now. read more

took my coach in for the dash a/c and flush the radiator, asked for a quote on the flush, that came back much higher. But the BAD PART!! Someone took a shower in my coach! My fresh tank was 3/8 full, my grey empty, when I picked up my coach the fresh tank was empty, grey was 3/8 full and my propane was down. BEWARE, DON'T LEAVE YOUR COACH UNATTENDED!! read more

We've been having issues with our Tiffin Allegro for quite some time and heard this was the place to go. We got there and couldn't get our exhaust fixed right away, so they let stay in their parking lot through easter weekend. Jason was great, he helped answer questions and worked on our rv for other issues. Prior to coming there, we explained to the owner what we needed and it seemed like it could be done, but after being there for 5 days, we still did not have our exhaust repaired. The owner said he was looking for the part,but couldn't find it. We decided to go to a campground nearby and then come back in three weeks, thinking it would give him enough time to find our part. We called several times to find out the status with no response. My husband was talking to a friend online who lives in Red Bay and that friend offered to call and see if he could get the owner to call us back, still no response. They simply decided they didn't want to work on our RV, yet didn't find it necessary to tell us. They were nice people, seemed professional and hard working, but no communication is very bad for a business. We won't bring our RV back again and have hopefully found someone who can fix it this time in KY. It's really a shame because they were recommended to us as being the place to go to get Tiffin Motorhomes fixed, but maybe because ours is a vintage, 30 year old RV, they didn't wanna bother. read more

If you have an older coach, DO NOT GO TO BAY DIESEL, they have apparently bitten off more than they can chew. I used them in the past and was very pleased. In the past 6 months now that my coach is older I have been lied to, sent home Twice with it not fixed, blamed for the problems they created. Then told to get lost. OMG read more

Went to leave Red Bay early yesterday and stairs would not retract on my 2018 Newmar New Aire. Pulled in and they had it fixed in under an hour. Got a call from them 20 minutes later saying they noticed antifreeze on the floor and said I could come back and they check it out. Found a leak on my transmission oil cooler. They got it covered under Freightliner warranty and I was on the road by 1pm. Will be having them do all my chassis and engine service. read more

bought a new 2022 phaeton in february 2023. had a slew of minor things that should have been handled before i took delivery but wasnt. we were headed out west so decided to stop in red bay and get tiffin to straighten it all out. the service center said bay diesel would handle the warranty work there on the final 2 things i listed. called bay diesel and set up appt to come in and fix tire pressure sensor and left turn signal that would not kick back after u turn. i asked the lady there if they handled the warranty for new tiffins and she said yes. dropped it off fri morning 9:00. lady said prolly be an hour or so, ill call when ready. rode around with 3 dogs til 2:00. decided to ride by and see if the coach was in a bay, nope, sitting in parking lot. called office. its ready she said. ?? wonder how long?? my thoughts were prolly 10:00. go in office. lady said all fixed. great i replied. hands me a bill...$87.50. what this i asked? she replied with something im not really sure of but that Freightliner dont cover that under warranty. it said 1/2 hr labor. i paid the tip and left. didnt have to turn left til almost back to the campground. turn signal no work. i called them and told them it didnt work. i wont go back. ill update when i get on the road and see if tire sensor works, prolly wont. the biggest part of the 1 star review is that for 5 hours after dropping it off im riding around with 3 dogs and a wife. since i was charged a 1/2 hour tip im assuming my coach had prolly sat in their yard since 9:30 am. bad customer service. shoddy work. read more

I have had a full service done on my 42LH. Everyone was exceptional! They are knowledgeable and explained what they were doing. In fact, they even showed me key components, in the event I needed to address anything on my own, while on the road. I felt that the costs were reasonable. read more

We made an appointment well ahead of time for 8-25-16 and when we arrived, they had our coach in the bay within 15 minutes of our arrival. Thomas worked on our coach and was excellent in his knowledge and workmanship. He pointed out things that hadn't been done in the past and corrected a lot of issues. The bill was about what I expected considering all the issues he addressed. He made sure I was aware of future things that would need to be done. We were at the Tiffin Plant (for the plant tour) when we had a brake line issue. I drove our motorhome over to their facility (very slowly) and they fit us in right away even though they were very busy. Within a couple of hours, they had us back on the road. The employees were very nice and made us feel at home in their air conditioned waiting area (it was close to 100 that day) and even offered us ice cream bars! Excellent business. Good prices, fast service and friendly staff. The waiting area was clean and very well put together. Looks like a small living room. Equipment in the shop was top shelf. They changed the oil in our 45 foot Tiffan coach in under an hour and were very knowledgeable about our 2016 model coach. Newmar owners beware! Think twice before asking this business to work on dash a/c. The owner, Chris, admitted to me that his knowledge of Newmar products was lacking. After two nights in Bay Diesel's parking lot, I provided a diagram showing the a/c components that included a $35 pressure switch which Chris then replaced. However, before the pressure switch was replaced, at least four employees attempted to determine my a/c issue. The hourly rate of $140 an hour was applied for all employee time devoted to my problem. The a/c started cooling immediately after the pressure switch was replaced. To my surprise, my bill was $883. The system lasted maybe four hours before 25 amp a/c fuse blew. I left a message for the Chris to call me about the excessive charge and the failed repair. Chris has not return my call. In May, 2020, my a/c fix was at Johnny's A/C Repair in Warren, AR. All major a/c components were replaced and the system was flushed for $1175. Our 1200 mile trip in June, 2020, to Myrtle Beach was "cool". read more
