In March 2019 Bay Junk provided key support getting rid of junk and moving things we wanted to save to a storage facility in the major project of selling our family home in Palo Alto since 1962. This was actually my first experience using a junk removal service. I started doing research on this well in advance and had talked with 1-800-GOT-JUNK and figured that they would probably be a good suitable firm to do the job. But as we got closer to the point where we would be needing the service, my brother wanted me to look into other possibilities, including the idea of having a large dumpster delivered in front of the house that we could fill up with all the junk we wanted to get rid of. I ended up deciding against the dumpster idea because I did not want for us to have to move all the heavy items into it ourselves, and also I wanted items of value to be redirected to those in need and other items recycled as much as possible. But in the process of looking into the dumpster idea and searching for other options, I ran across Bay Junk while searching the internet for junk haulers and they were at the top of the list on one of my searches, so I decided to call them and consider their service. So I called and talked with Edgardo of Bay Junk and he helped me plan how his service could best be utilized to meet our needs. I ended up talking with him a few times over a couple of weeks and he came by the house to help scope things out and give a rough estimate even before we were completely ready to have them come. Then about a week later we had them come to do the job, which took a total of about 6 hours. Some demolition work was required for some items, like a metal shed in the backyard and a large piece of concrete. For the first half of the job they had a crew of 6 workers and for the second half they had a crew of 3 workers. Edgardo came to the work site at various times throughout the day whenever needed. Three truck loads of junk were filled and hauled away, one of the trucks being larger than the other two. And a final fourth truck was dedicated to moving the items we wanted to save to a local storage facility. The entire job was a complete success and was perfectly tailored to our needs. This was the BEST DEAL!!! I could not be happier with the guys at SF Bay Area Movers! One would think that finding a moving company within the bay area would be a simple task but the internet was full of companies that merely referred the business to other businesses that had nothing to do with moving!! Edgardo and the team were very easy to work with and professional. Edgardo came in to give an estimate and was able to remove all the junk within days later. They moved everything safely without damaging walls, etc. Our building is on the 4th floor in an office and they were able to work quickly and safely using the elevators. I unfortunately had miscommunicated with our building manager and needed Edgardo and the team to stop and come back after hours to remove the remaining junk. We had a hot tub sitting idle for several years, and this Sunday I found Bay Junk on Yelp to see if they can remove it. They even were ready to come on Sunday afternoon. But I've decided for Tuesday afternoon which I had to ask them to come 1 hour later. Edgardo was very accommodating, and responses are always quick in a matter of minutes via text. We also had other big junk items like old exercise bike etc. and they were able to take all these at the same time. I called about 4 companies and these guys are the only ones that called me back almost immediately. The gentleman on the phone was super friendly and even helped me by Having someone come out and haul out stuff from my backyard even though I wasn't home. They sent me pictures of the all the stuff hauled out and let me pay by phone! These guys were of huge help and I would reccomend them to anyone looking for a reliable service. Based on their Yelp reviews, I gave them a call very early on Saturday. Edgardo was very courteous and made same day appointment for 11am. He sent two movers, they gave a reasonable estimate given many heavy items in my garage. They were also very polite and lightening fast! My garage was clean before I could blink. I have hired junk removal services in the past but my experience with Edgardo and team was superlative. Heartily recommend. I had Bay Junk removed several pieces of furniture at my home in Redwood Shores. The Area Manager Edgardo came to give me the quote at the time of day he promised. Quote was very fair and he was able to arrange for a quick pick up. The two movers did an excellent job, making sure there was no damage to the furniture, walls or floor even as they had to navigate some tight turns to get the furniture out of the house and loaded in their truck. I had a large sofa ( 3 seater - 7 1/2' long, heavy) that I needed removed to make room for a new one. I got an appointment, was given a time frame and Edgardo told me he would call 10 minutes prior to arriving. Edgardo and his helper were professional, I got a call prior to arriving within the time frame. The sofa was difficult to move as there were stairs and 2 corners to get around.
