Absolutely horrible service. We have warranty and they won't cover it at this dealership but other dealerships do so we went elsewhere. Even though they fixed one part under warranty originally and it broke again now a year later. They fail to communicate between themselves effectively, subsequently resulting in you being inconvenienced and wasting valuable time. Avoid this jeep/dodge/chrysler dealership and go to Grimsby or Johnston Chrysler on Upper James (at stonechurch rd) in Hamilton area for reliable and quick service with great customer service skills. read more

It's been 2 months since my last terrible visit. Today I took my vehicle back for some service work, oil change and tire rotation. The old Service Manager has been replaced thank God by a great fellow by the name of Mike. It was great to see all my friends in service, SYD and his great staff, the great people in the parts Department esp Bob. Had my rear brakes done in July. Picked my Jeep up Friday after work. Couldn't drive my vehicle all weekend as there was a very loud banging sound when brakes were applied. Returned Monday to have problem fixed. The only explanation was they have never seen this before. Fast forward to today. Went to have my snow tires put on. The piece to remove the tires was packaged up damaged. Nobody said anything other than it is a not their responsibility. It will now take 6 weeks to get the nut... they did offer to break the nuts off. So disappointed with customer service they honestly did not care read more

secong time I buy. first time was a bad experience but assumed it was just the one guy. got my second truck from here. paid over 500 in oil changes in advance as a promotion they had and went today to get my least oil change and tire rotation. they told me it expired. seriously. my airbag light has been on since I got the truck and now lights are flickering g in the dash. brand new truck. at this point I'm done with dodge. my work buys minimum 50 new trucks a year. now I c why we go to ford for them. read more

This is the first time I have ever felt the need to write a review on a company. I typically reward good businesses with gratuities and or referrals. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had. I am a 4 x Purchaser of Chrysler vehicles. I purchase or lease brand new each time. This is my only and my last experience with Bay King Motors / Bay King Chrysler. I was tricked into leasing a Jeep with the promise of rebates that I was eligible to receive if I leased this, Jeep-First Lie. I was told I would be receiving an email link for the rebate, following the signed lease agreement. I left satisfied and looked forward to picking up the New Jeep. When the email links were received, I contacted The Sales and Leasing Consultant Derrick Low as the email indicated the rebate had to be applied at the point of sale by the dealership. Derrick assured me various times I was eligible and that he knew several customers personally who successfully received the rebate on their own-Second lie. After more investigation on my part Derrick indicated, he would speak to HR and contact me with the method to apply for this rebate on my own-Third Lie. Derrick than communicated to me via email that my accountant would need to apply for this credit when I file my taxes for the 2022 taxation year-Fourth lie. When Derrick was asked to provide the information for the rebate through my taxes, he indicated he would send them right away-Fifth Lie. What I received from Derrick was an email stating that after some more digging around I was not eligible for a rebate at all because the price point of the Jeep was too high and didn't meet the eligibility requirements. To add further insult to injury when I went to pick up my trade in cheque, they deducted an extra $500 for some charges they said they forgot to charge me for. The New Car Sales Manager John I was supposed to meet with ended up calling the police on me and I had to leave or be charged with trespassing for having the audacity for wanting the trade in cheque in its entirety and for letting him know of the repeated lies. I was calm, I didn't cause a scene and have an audio recording of the entire incident. The police also mentioned how calm I was and how it was appreciated. I did leave the dealership as this is a civil matter to be disputed in the courts and the police could only follow the dealership's direction to have me removed from the dealership and/or have me charged with trespassing. I hope this helps you decide where to purchase your next vehicle. This is my only poor experience I have ever had purchasing or leasing a vehicle-STAY AWAY from Bay King Motors / Bay King Chrysler! read more

Not even three months yet since I bought the Jeep and my GPS stopped working. I tried to resolve the issue with the manager Scott and the owner yet they just wanted more money out of my pocket to do diagnostics and repair yet we all know GPS ISNT WORKING!! Yet I paid cash in full for my jeep and was hoping they'd fix a minor problem without hesitation. Every time I called or went in to explain the issue no one told me about any cost until I booked an appointment to go get it fixed! WASTE OF MY TIME !!!! I would not recommend to my family or friends! They'll be nice to you until they sell the car after that you are on your own. read more

Took my car here today (May 10) after getting no help from Fairview Chrysler. My car had gotten kind of loud and there was a ticking in the engine. Fairview told me, "that's how it's supposed to sound". I decided to take it here (Bay King) cuz I thought Fairview might be waiting for my warranty to expire. With less than 500 km before my warranty expires, Bay King found the problem right away and called me with the news. The people in the service department were very helpful, and super nice. The shuttle driver was awesome too and assured me that I wouldn't be charged for any work that I didn't need or want done. I feel great knowing that I have found a garage I can trust.! read more

Buying my ram 1500 was an enjoyable experience but service after I bought the truck is the worst I have seen in the 50 years I have been driving. I went to the dealership for my first oil change and they told me I needed an appointment and it would be a week Tuesday before they could get me in (for an oil change?????) I called the first week August for a recall appointment for a cruise control issue (it could not disengage when you step on the brake which I felt was an extreme safety issue) they could fit me in for what they claimed was a 4 hour reset of the module DECEMBER 24 I COULD BE DEAD BY DEC. 24. When I noted that this was a safety issue not just a radio not working and a 5 month wait was crazy they suggested that I do not use the cruise control till it is checked. I called today Dec. 5th for 3 recalls, an oil change and warranty work on the horn I got we can fit you in January 21st for the 3 recalls (2 of which are safety issues) but they could do the oil change and horn repair sooner which would mean two wasted days taking the vehicle in for service instead of one. After sale service is the worst I have seen or heard of if they are so busy that customers have to wait months to have dangerous safety issues repaired they should either hire more staff or put an addition on the brand new building they have. PS I called another Dodge dealer several blocks from them and they will complete all of the recalls and warranty work in 8 from now even though I am a first time customer there. read more

Called to get warranty work done. Took a week to get an appointment for an inspection. Was told part would be available in a week and I would get a call. Didn't receive a call so called them. Was told by the parts department part wasn't ordered was transfered to service manager who told me he would order the part and call. He didn't. This went on for 3 weeks same story 2 more times. I called the owner to ask if he would check into it. He told me that the part was "in stock" and if I wasn't happy don't bring the car back back. This happened 4 weeks after my initial call to Bay King. Called Johnson Chrysler. They had it totally fixed within 48 hrs of my initial call. read more

Recently was searching for a new vehicle to replace my ten year old Matrix, quite by accident found myself at this dealership and was treated so well by the car salesman, showed me several SUVs on the lot of other brands than Jeep. When I saw the new Jeep Compass line, I was more than delighted with the quality of build, compact size, and wonderful entertainment system, the interior was great quality. Very happy with my purchase of a 2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk. I am a senior citizen and this vehicle is perfect for me and my lifestyle!! read more

Be very weary of attempting to do business with this dealership. The fact that they choose not to negotiate at all is one thing but they are advertising falsely. They're showing a 2014 Jeep Sport on AutoTrader.ca and indicating it has 12,222kms while in fact it has 18,600kms. Their response. |"normal charge is ten cents per kilometer. Which would equal $700 discount". They also list this as a FORMER company care when in fact their IT guy is SILL driving it AND it was received from Chrysler with approximately 8000 kms already on it. Would have liked to negotiate with them... Oh well. read more

BEWARE!!! Bought 2 brand new cars here and will never be back. Took my car in 5 times with an engine light on before even 25000km and every time all they did was delete the message and do a bandaid fix. Got head office involved and had to go to another dealership to get it fixed properly. Also the last time it was at this dealership they caused damage to my passenger side wheel well but all the service manager did is call me a liar about the engine light and damage. Once other dealership fixed everything called bay king to tell them how full of crap they were and again all the service manager could do is be ignorant and get his knickers twisted up. Will never do business here ever again. After purchasing a used (only one year old) caravan, we faithfully took it in for regular maintenance in accordance with the warranty- this usually resulted in about $600 worth of work every 5K. We repeatedly told them there were engine issues, yet they only were able to find the problem AFTER the warranty ran out - $1200 worth of problem. I am not sure what they did for that amount of money, but it didn't fix the problem and now they want another $3300 to fix it again. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! read more

Always had good service and well taken car of by the service department and the sales guys.

We called to discuss what we needed and to make an appointment. When we arrived we got an entirely different story. The lady who served us was abrupt and argumentative. She also slagged off the customer ahead of us to a coworker right infront of us. Long story short, we need a fob for the car. We called and were told if the fob we had (aftermarket) fit the ignition it would be $60 to program it. When we got there she said "I don't know who would have told you that" and that it was $110 with no promises (I get that) and a terror story about how it almost never works. Okay. Price a new one, $170 for the fob and she doesn't mention that programming is not included so I ask... Of course that's about another $60. Then after a bit I'm told it also doesn't include the key portion of the fob (it's still part of the fob right? ridiculous it's not included) which is another $70 but they'll "probably throw in cutting the key" (gosh thanks!). In the middle of all this she asked if I bought the car there, I said yes but it didn't seem to matter. I got the feeling had I said no I would have been told there's no goodwill which is probably the reason she asked. I walked. If I do end up buying one and I probably will since the carmaker clearly has this little cash grab sewn up tight, it won't be from here. I can't stand it when places think themselves clever by misrepresentation or omission yet it was insinuated three times that I was lying. read more

- I took my 2001 Jeep TJ in to correct an erratic idle, stalling at stops and balking on acceleration. Apparently not an uncommon problem (485,000 Google hits on Jeep erratic idle). My assumption being that a dealer would have the experience and expertise to locate and correct the problem. The technician required FOUR hours of diagnostic time to locate the problem in the clock spring!!!; a $411.20 charge! - Some expertise! - Diagnosis, throttle body service and clock spring replacement = parts and labour total of $989.62! - The service advisors were fine. The new Service manager = not so. - By the way, the vehicle was purchased there new and I'm a retired licensed mechanic with over 35 years of experience; without the tools and facilities. ............................. - Following is a copy of the communication with the dealer's service manager. - You can decide if you'd take your vehicle here. ............................. Sir, - I just picked up my 2001 Jeep TJ from your service dept. where it had been in for repairs to correct an irregular idle, stalling at stops and balky acceleration. Wo # CCCS269793; customer #20332. The problem has been corrected. Concern: - My rationale for selecting a dealership repair was that they would have up to date experience specific to characteristics and defect history of the brand and model of vehicle; proper testing equipment; privileged information in the form of service bulletins, reference manuals, wiring diagrams; in short, to be able to provide 'expert' service. - The FOUR HOURS required to determine where the fault was (second item up the wiring from the throttle control) seems to fall somewhat short of the 'expert' category and appears excessive, especially considering that problem seems to be common; ie: 288,000 Google hits on 'Jeep TJ erratic idle' and about 1/2 million on 'Jeep erratic idle'. - I think that an adjustment to the 'diagnostic' charge is in order and I would appreciate your review of the invoice. Defective logic?? - seems so. Diagnosis: I can assure you that I am fully appreciative of the processes of diagnostics. I have over 35 years of licensed experience in the trade, Class A, Interprovincial, Diesel endorsement; flat rate Snelgrove Motors, 1963 - 65, the balance as a mechanic, equipment specialist, shift supervisor & mobile equipment Preventative Maintenance Supervisor, Dofasco Inc. - 1993. As such, I would still suggest that plugging in the tester, reading the codes, eliminating the throttle control and checking the next component upstream should in no way require four hours of time. If this experience conforms to Chrysler protocols your service department has to be empty of out-of-warranty services. Perspective: If this occurred in my department there would be an employee interview and some 're-training with follow-up' happening. I would also rightly expect to receive some expression of concern from my manager. This dealership is the worst one I have ever been at. They are lairs and very unprofessional. As soon as you purchase the car they stop caring what you have to say. I bought a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and there was oil leaking from the pan. It started to burn on my muffler and then I went back to fix it. They did it with a lot of argument. They also overfilled oil and when I confronted them about it they told me I put extra oil in they car Like WTF? When I told them there was no antifreeze in the reservoir they told me its ok cuz it doesnt need any. Trust me don't ever go buy a car over there. Its better to wait for a different car than go and deal with these a holes. The manager is the stupidest guy I have ever met to the point were he needs to go back to school and learn how to speak to customers. Ohh and also my DVD player isn't fixed to this day and they promised me that. You'll make the worst mistake going there and buying a car. read more
