Southern weather is always subject to change in Mobile, keep umbrellas, rain ponchos, and sweaters handy, weather changes from one hour to the next.

There are picnic tables and swings, as well as a pier that will give you a peaceful break from your drive or just to enjoy a beautiful sunset or sunny day. There are nature paths and you can make your way over to a little beach area nearby. If the water is high, access might be a little difficult, and yes, you really should watch out for wildlife. The sign says that night fishing is allowed off the pier, so that's cool. I wish I could have explored the area a bit more, but I was very happy to find Bayfront during my stay!

Do not let that deter you from visiting this park, all up and down The Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida you will find that type of wild life, even on The East Coast all the way up to North Carolina. I did not get a chance to travel the entire length of the boardwalk because I heard a lot of thunder, the sky was clear, so I left and within ten minutes it rained ( storms are common here, but usually brief, in fact it rains every afternoon in the summer). They have separate cabins for the boys and girls. camp is for ages 8 to 12 y If it's your little ones first time away from home they can request a "cabin buddy" to be bunked with so that way they know someone. That seems to help some of them with the home sickness. You can also drop off care packages at PCC daily to be delivered to your kid. They have tons of activities like archery, tether ball, fishing, paddle boats, zip lining, a pool with slides and more. They have hot meals and church on Sunday. The cabin leaders are college students from PCC and they monitor cabins full of 8-10 kids if I remember right. Highly recommend for summer camp. I've always heard nothing be great things and my son looks forward to going every year.

Playground has two swing sets, a jungle gym, & slide with a few concrete picnic tables close by for parents to sit and supervise the kids. Picnic Shelter has two long wooden benches, about 4-5 wooden picnic tables, and a few roll off trashcans. Shelter appears to be lighted with electrical access and plug in adjacent to it. No parking lot, sign said no street parking, I parked on the grass. Pet friendly, dogs are allowed on leashes only. Park has trees, looks like a nice, shady place in the summer time, but I was here in December, most of the trees lost their leaves. No public restrooms or sports here, but still a nice place. Not far off of Interstate 10, a block away from AL-59. Quiet.

Three or four benches & trashcans, most in the shade, under Southern Live Oaks with Spanish Moss, one near playground, one near basketball court. Playground has a swingset, slides, monkey bars. There is a drinking fountain. No parking lot, but there is a gravel vehicle access road that leads near the creek if you want to fish, or you could park on the residential streets surrounding the park. This park is wooded, a little swampy & marshy near the creek in the rear. Two large grassy areas for baseball or soccer, however, both were muddy because of summer storm season. My dog liked the park. Would be nice if this park had restrooms or a port-a-potty. FYI, there is a burned, abandoned, condemned house directly next to the park. Part of the park extends in the back behind three or four homes, it is a wooded area, but the clearing was a little muddy. If you are in that area, no one can see you there from the road.
