We were met at the car by the owner and told to head to the barn a few minutes later. At the barn we were met by Shelby (the owner's daughter) our instructor/trail guide; this was the beginning of a fun and exciting horseback ride. "Horse Rides of Pensacola" has a special weapon that no other place has: Shelby. This was my wife's very first time on a horse -- or even being around horses. Shelby patiently explained every aspect of what she was doing and how it affected the animals. She took a first time rider and made her feel completely at ease. The short ride was just as enjoyable as the training. The small talk between the three of us was relaxing, and we even got Shelby to sing us a song she wrote while we were riding on the trail. Between Shelby's great customer service and obvious love for these rescued horses, Horse Rides of Pensacola won our vote and our respect. The building was spotless and everything for the race was very organized, which I really appreciated that early in the morning. Check in was quick and easy.
