When I called back to book, I spoke with someone else. The quotes were very similar for the same package, but for 4 less days. After some discussion back and forth, the representative gave a 2-day rental quote that seemed more reasonable, so we proceeded. We have kids, so we added the $25 protection insurance but, BE WARNED. It only is for BROKEN gear, not lost. We added it because we were more concerned about a kid losing a mask or snorkel in the ocean waves, not necesarily breaking one. $60 for a lost mask that was of poor quality. (Our Dollar Tree masks actually worked better.)

BEWARE OF UNDISCLOSED FEES!…read more The jet ski experience was just fine - 2 jet skis for an hour. They were in good shape, staff onsite were very nice, etc. The problem was we were quoted right at $100 ($99 and some change) for one hour for each. When we got ready to leave, the lowest option for a tip (if paying with a credit card) was 15%. We checked that one (so $30), but today, got our credit card statement, and we were charged $294.94! When I called today, the girl who answered unapologetically told us "Well, there are additional fees AND fuel charges." We absolutely were not told this at any juncture - when we made the reservation, provided our credit card #, before departure, or when checking the 15% tip box. TIPS (pun intended): Ask them to confirm the entire amount before giving them your credit card information, and, bring cash for a tip if you are not inclined to tip 15% on $125'ish per hour jet skis.

Her truck was loaded with three kayaks she was renting that morning. After a few introductory tips to the kayakers, they paddled away, and she hauled two paddle boards over to the water. I then had an utterly fantastic yoga class on a paddle board. Had not done that before and it's pretty challenging. But what a great way to get exercise and work on your balance. I was hoping to rent a SUP from her at her Pensacola location--she says it's prettier there than where we met--but the weather forecast wasn't rosy. She said she would text me after a couple of days to let me know if there were a window in all the storms we've been having. She texted as promised, but we weren't able to make it work. I'll be back soon enough and will definitely take advantage of her expertise.
