Great RV Park Near Two Railroad Museums! My husband and I love old trains and old train museums. We've been plotting our way around Texas in our RV in a quest to visit all of the railroad museums in the state. Bay RV Park was a gem with spacious sites, clean facilities and nice people. The site is about 15 minutes away from the Dickinson Railway Museum and 30 minutes from the Galveston Railroad Museum which was just perfect for us! Both museums were delightful and we even managed to take in some of the historic house tours on Galveston Island. I don't normally write a review, but my boss told me I needed to so they would know why we left. I stayed there in a trailer with my coworkers. I work in the oil field. There was supposed to be like 30 of us moving in, but after 2 months my boss pulled us to another park because of Sherry. I told my boss that Sherry seems to let anyone in and doesn't care about their drug use. Drug deals everywhere in there. Cops going in and out all the time. I even saw Sherry several times, wandering around the park drunk late at night. The worst part, for business is the very horrible internet. There is free half wifi and it never works. Sherry told us to use our own hotspot. For those of us that don't have unlimited data.... screw that! I couldn't zoom call my boss. So between Sherry and the internet, my boss had us move to another site with the 20+ guys in our crew. read more

Nice Place! I stayed here in early March 2022 with my husband and 4 year old golden retriever in our small camping trailer and had a blast! I really liked the Kemah boardwalk and my husband geeked out at the Space Center (ok, I admit that I did a fair amount of geeking too!). The Park was clean and tidy and our neighbors kind and generous in sharing some local hidden treasures. We plan to return the next time we are passing through the area! read more

This park has it all! The staff, Leda and Randy, are amazing and extremely helpful!! The rates are great! The park has a perfect mix of overnight guests, contract workers, and long-timers!! I have made some life-long friends here . It is halfway between Houston and Galveston, 12 miles to NASA, 7 miles from the Kemah Boardwalk, 3 blocks from the ocean and a few books in any direction from amazing food!! Easy to get in and out. Nice concrete pad. Was a good central location to Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston. Everyone was nice.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Bay RV Park. Because we own a large class A motorhome, we needed a site that was going to give us enough space. We phoned ahead and the manager booked us into one of their pull-thru sites, which turned out pretty perfect. Heaps of room and nice, level cement pads. Hookups were really easy and included the usual electricity, sewerage and water. There was plenty of space to park our mini cooper too, which we used to get around the area. Most of the main sights are within 30 minutes' drive and we saw plenty of highlights during our stay. Galveston was definitely a favorite. The historic town center had some great little shops to explore, and we ate out often at the nearby restaurants. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back to Bay RV. read more

I was looking for a nice but reasonably priced RV park that was located close to Galveston, Houston and Kemah and that was exactly what I found at Bay RV Park. I pulled out Travel Trailer into their largest site and had enough room for my SUV and more! They had a showering area and laundry room next to their clubhouse which was very helpful. I highly recommend staying here and will be returning. read more

This is our second time staying at Bay RV Park -- it has been expanded since we were here a while back. It now has many pull-thru sites plus additional back-in sites. All sites are full hookup with water, sewer and electricity. Laundry and shower facilities onsite too. New sites have cable as well. The campground is well maintained. The office is open everyday. The manager is very courteous and accommodating. Many excellent restaurants close by. Lots of shopping areas, recreation areas, Galveston beaches, Johnson Space Center, Kemah Boardwalk, ... Centrally located to all these attractions and more!! read more

We recently spent six months at Bay RV park. The park is clean and well-maintained. The office is open seven days a week which is extremely convenient. The owner is courteous and responsive and cares about her customers. She make sure that the tenets maintain the sites they rent according to the rules but is also flexible to the needs of the long term RVers. There is no pool or recreational area but the rate is extremely reasonable. read more
