The practitioners here are exceptionally trained and qualified, with most, if not all, having advanced degrees in Physical Therapy and extensive practical hands-on experience. Samantha ("Sammy") Rondeau, DPT, led my first series of PT sessions for right knee replacement. This was personally challenging as I'd never experienced a surgery or recovery like this one. Sammy outlined, explained, and led 3-times a week sessions to restore movement and full use of my right leg. This included home exercises (I continue to use as part of my home workouts.) Sammy is also leading my rotator cuff PT (which I started this week.) A comprehensive assessment coupled with MD recommendations precedes physical therapy here. Everyone here is very client-focused. Lots of off-street parking and a comfortable waiting room. The staff are all upbeat and eager to guide the rest of us to improved health. What stood out to me before I even met her was that multiple doctors, all from different buildings and institutions, independently told me the same thing, "If anyone can help you, it's her." That alone says everything. From the moment I met Dr. O'Neill at Spaulding in Braintree, I felt something I haven't felt in a very long time... I truly felt seen. She didn't rush me. She didn't talk over me. She didn't treat me like a chart, a case, or a number. She treated me like a human being who has been carrying pain for a very long time. Her empathy was immediate and genuine. She spoke to me gently, listened fully, and truly validated everything I've been experiencing for years. The injections themselves were unlike anything I've ever had, and that's saying a lot. (I've had hundred maybe even thousands of injections over the years) She was able to inject in places no other doctor has ever addressed, areas I didn't even realize could be treated because no one else had the experience or confidence to go there. These help people with a CTD, connective tissue disorder, like my Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. They prevent my fingers from hyperextending and eventually dislocating. Donna VanHelene has the knowledge, skill and patience to design each custom finger brace with the TLC it needs. Then, during follow up visits, she will adjust and refit the custom hand braces as needed. My first PT, Rebecca, is an amazing physical therapist, extremely knowledgeable and motivating to work with! I made great progress with her, and felt enthusiastic and optimistic the whole time. The desk staff are also super helpful and nice--really excellent at their jobs too. I came back for physical therapy for a different problem 5 years later, and had the luck to work with three more physical therapists there. They were Conor, Greg, and (on two occasions) Brittany. They found a way to keep me making progress even when I had a medical set-back, and they worked really well as a team. Plus, they were super-kind and knowledgeable and creative in the choice of exercises. My balance and strength have noticeably improved because of working with them . Also, they have taught me valuable lessons about how the different muscles work together and how to make the best of that. Add to this that the staff at the desk is still both super-competent and very kind and friendly--I still recommend Elliott PT in Dorchester highly!

Their office staff,…read moreparticularly the manager that calls you (all the time) is rude, outright MEAN, pressuring, and money driven, with no care or sympathy for patients. They seem to pack and stack appointments. The room is crowded and allows no privacy. They charge inflated fees for visits and are hard line about late fees for missed appointments. My therapist's attention was extremely diverted when I went there, working with multiple patients and leaving me alone to do exercises a lot of the time, so I assume the poor guy was at least double booked. I imagine when you go there for care your therapist will probably not be giving you 1 on 1 attention most of the time either.
