I saw Dr. Kayla Serowik and Dr. Christine Frechette for physical therapy, and both of them were amazing. Not only did they show me the exercise to treat my issues, they also helped educate me on what I could do to prevent future injuries. On top of that, they were both incredibly patient and encouraging - therapeutic on multiple levels! I also get sports massages from Michelle Herrmann, and this has been a game changer. I have gone to a wide variety of skilled massage therapists (sports, deep tissue, Thai, etc.), and Michelle is the best, by far. Her massages are so healing and have helped my performance so much, as well as stave off potential injuries! Before going to Wellness in Motion, I really struggled to progress in any sport because I got injured so often. Now, with the amazing combination of physical therapy and sports massages, my body is healthier and stronger than it has been in over 20 years! Incredibly grateful for this place. However they did have a system where you can be added to the waitlist for a time and you will get emailed to see if you want to take that appointment which I thought was nice

WOW AMAZING! GREAT!…read more I have heard good and bad stories about different places for Physical Therapy. (I have a torn PCL and MCL problems, and needed a place to go!) I looked at other places people recommended, but MGH was right next door to work - so I hoped I could go there (for convenience as well as reputation) Once I confirmed with my insurance I could, and scheduled up a few appointments, I started on my way BACK to a strong leg and knee! Asyou walk in, you see all the framed jerseys from Athletes, from David Ortiz to Ray Bourque and more... Yes, a lot of Boston Pro athletes (and pro athletes form elsewhere) go here, so you know it MUST be top notch. The equipment and facilities are top notch, as you would expect, from the locker room with showers, to the machines and therapeutic equipment. My therapist, Kailin, is GREAT. She has the patience to deal with a difficult and stubborn patient like me (yes, I said it, and will admit it!), and the knowledge and experience to help me out. I have pushed aside my imaginary knowledge, stubbornness and desire to do things my way and put myself in her hands 100%, and could not be happier. So far after a month, I can tell positive change, and as long as I keep listening to her versus ignoring her, I have no problem I will keep improving! The other staff around has always been helpful (they are busy, so people help out on some things), and they have always been accommodating on every aspect. I ave never been afraid to ask another therapist a question or for something if Kailin was not in the immediate vicinity. The front desk staff of Vicki and Harry is also top notch. Very helpful, friendly, and work to help you get in when you can versus the entitled nature you find at some offices. (in other words, they put you, the patient first all the time) Understand before you go, MGH is BIG. You have to register with the hospital, get your MGH ID card/number, and it might take an extra week or two to get an appointment. But in my case, where i suffered a traumatic injury nd had to heal, I would RATHER go to teh best, instead of the quickest. I hope you never have an injury or a need to go here, but if you do, and you need PT for a joint or tendon (or anything), then This IS THE place to go in Boston... who knows, you may find yourself on a table next to one of Bostons finest athletes.. sharing in the best PT and rehab in the city!

After a couple of unsuccessful visits to chiropractors, I found the SSIC - Fed location through google/yelp. My first visit was with Dr. Kevin Cooper for chiropractic. He was great with really listening to my pain (and whining) and proceeded to walk me through the treatments. We started with two visits a week and would cut it down to once a week when the pain became more manageable. You can count on him to provide care with the goal of getting you to 100%. Even when I told him that I felt we reached a plateau with our visits, he recommended Physical therapy for the next step. Transition to PT appointments were smooth, I was set up with a first meeting with Carly Stote for assessment & treatment. Again, Carly is someone who will really listen to the injury and proceed to offer the best treatment. Her hands are wonders! The pain just melts away after the visits. I was given exercises to help manage pain relief as well as a walk through of each exercise. TL;DR - Would recommend 100%; genuine effort from the team to help their patients recover! I also had a 10 day trip after the accident where I would favor my other knee so apparently she could notice significant muscle atrophy. Stephanie was patient and clear. Answered all of my many many questions. Did her magic on my leg during the visit, and gave good direction for home exercises, what to watch out for, how to gently push myself. I don't always have confidence in my body mechanics, and I definitely don't respond well if someone takes the firm-"drill sergeant" approach. Luckily Stephanie was nothing like that. She was encouraging, genuinely concerned with my progress, and friendly. Even though our treatment was cut a bit short by COVID-19, her work allowed me to get back on a bike and I just hit 100 miles of cycling in the last 50 days. Jose, the security guard in the building was friendly as we waited patiently for a call back. The remote receptionist returned our call around 7:30am and said the earliest appt would be 8:40am. We took it and waited patiently... IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Colleen gave my daughter: Exam Adjustment Massage Laser red light Dry needle acupuncture ... exercises to do at home. She said that she would like to see her again in a couple of days. My daughter's neck flexibility and SMILE at the end of this appointment said it all. She also never explained what she was doing, and when I asked clarifying questions to learn more about each treatment, she acted irritated with me. She just wanted to get me in and out of there. I felt unwelcome. Trying out the treatment was very expensive for me because I have a high deductible plan, and I paid what I think is a lot of money for each session. I stopped going and am trying other treatments at home. The whole experience was so far from what I expected to have for something in the medical category. Felt more like the professional grade of cosmetology, as in a nail or hair salon. Wouldn't recommend. I got no relief from any treatment, not that my PT asked me how I felt about my experience or since my last visit.
