Bay to Bay Roofing: I met with a agent from the company, and based on 3 other companies, I decided to go with Bay to Bay and I wasn't sorry I chose them. They were up front about timing and helped me get a no interest loan. The workers were kind and diligent. A supervisor came by to check in with the workers and myself, the owner. They did a great job and a neighbor witnessed the process and she also had Bay to Bay do their roof. Recently I had a concern and called to ask if someone would come and check my roof. The young lady who took my message was very helpful and within a few days I heard back from Carl who set up an appointment and was out the next morning and on the roof. Checked everything out and everything was good. My roof was installed in 2022, when we were still dealing with COVID and getting product wasn't back to normal. They did in the time frame they promised and I am grateful, and I also know if you need them they do follow up and check things out. Bay-to-Bay installed my roof in 2015 with a ten-year warranty. The roof leaked but was not repaired until 2022. They left the water-damaged wood and never made the repairs to the damage to my garage ceiling caused by the leak. I sent them photos, copies of my roofing contract, and a repair estimate for the garage ceiling. AFTER the repairs were finished, they offered to pay 17% of my out-of-pocket. This company does nice work but unfortunately has an extremely rude woman as part of their office staff. Every time I have spoken to this person she just seems to be having a bad day. This last time I had to call with a very general question. A young lady answered, who is always very nice but she always puts you on hold and then the other woman who sounds to be a bit older comes to the phone and is just always extremely rude. Not only did she speak to me like I was a piece of trash, she even hung up on me for no reason at all. Im not sure if this person is just always miserable or just hates her job but she really need to be trained with how to speak to people in a professional manner. I will never call this company again just so I dont have to deal with this and I truly hope ownership sees this and listens to this last phone call. Bay to Bay tried to say things didn't go as we have stated and that their foreman didn't yell and intimidate my father but that's not surprising as they take advantage of elderly people from our experience and from what many other reviews state. From day one I was the point person for my elderly parents roofing job and the salesman and manager both understood that. I had to email and call their office as they had no clue how the state program (that they participate in) works. Then in their response to this review they claim that they only deal with homeowners. That's rubbish and they are avoiding the real subject of how their bad workmanship destroyed thousands of dollars of furniture and flooded their home. Now they are calling and telling my parents that they will only pay for the damage done to their sunroom and all of their destroyed furniture if they have this negative (yet true) review removed from the internet. We have their voicemail message from the very rude and condescending office manager recorded and are submitting it to both the state regulators and to the My Safe Florida Home Program. They refuse to give my parents their insurance information and we are now filing an official complaint to the state board and with the City Of Brooksville to get their insurance information and we are filing an insurance claim against them. No company should intimidate and bully the elderly and they should not hold money hostage to buy fake reviews. Shame on them. read more

They knew I was leaving work to meet them. Did not have the decency to show up. Want to just give me an estimate by pulling information off of the tax collectors website. By far the best roofer out there, I had the pleasure of having my roof replaced as well as have a truss repaired, the crew had there hands full as my roof is almost 4200sq ft. I had sheeting replaced beautiful new trim installed, the work site my home was kept clean plants respected, I have a pond that was covered and made sure was kept spotless and cared for by the crew as they worked. My estimator was a great help through out, A.J. made sure we knew what to expect and when to expect it, I knew of all the what ifs and hidden possibilities, A.J. We waited almost 2 months from the time we signed the contract for a new roof until work started. There was no prior notification to when the materials showed up as was promised. When work started there was only a crew of 2 and then a crew of 1for the last 4 days. A supervisor showed up around a week into the job and asked how things were going. We did not complain as we thought the job would be done soon. But when the one worker stopped showing up there was no supervisor visits or other communication from the company. In all it took 2 full weeks to have the roof put on. We were promised a magnetic pickup of all the nails and other metals from the yard after the completion of the job. That did not happen and so far, have picked 4 nails from the soles of my sandals/shoes. The permit was not filled out correctly and the county would not finalize the work until the permit was amended. On a positive note, the one gentleman that started and finished the roof seemed conscientious and from what we can tell he did a very good job. In summary, one-half of the work crew was dependable and did quality work. The estimate given before the job started was fair and better than or the same as the other estimates. If you are considering Bay to Bay Roofing be sure to ask about the lead time and the size of the crew that will be working your job and how long it will take to complete; and be sure they do the cleanup upon completion. read more

I bought a remodeled home in January of this year. All of the interior and much of the exterior had been redone and updated except for the roof which is approximately 15 years old. In February, after a heavy rain, the roof leaked through an exhaust vent into my master bath. I called and got estimates from several roofing companies and ultimately decided on Bay to Bay because they had good online reviews, their employees dressed professionally, and they drove company vans and trucks with Bay to Bay logo on them. They were not the cheapest in estimates by any means. The man who came out to examine my roof and the leak said I needed to replace the flat roof section to fix the problem which would cost me $1620. I said ok and paid the estimate. An hour after they replaced the roof, it rained and the roof leaked again in the exact same spot. After repeated calls and 6 more visits to fix the leak, it appeared they finally got it right as the next few rain storms did not cause the roof to leak. I called the owner Anthony Hloska and argued I shouldn't have to pay the full cost of this repair as it did not fix the problem plus the repeated leaks had damaged my ceiling in the bathroom. He equated roof repair to being an auto mechanic and you can't always be 100% of what the problem is.....AND I had a new flat roof for the money. He did take a $200 off the bill. But just a few days ago after another heavy rain the roof leaked again.....so now we're up to repair visit 7. Maybe the 7th time is the charm? Oh, and after this last call about the roof, Mr. Hloska suggested there may be additional costs as the leak may due to a different problem. Seriously?! The only good thing I can say about my experience with this company is that they were fast. But honestly, if I were to do this over again, they would not be who I called and they would not be recommended by me. read more

I truly feel I have never been treated so poorly by a company that professes to put customers first. On June 28th, we signed a contract after the estimator took a look at our lanai roof. He gave no indication it would be a problem to lay a new roof over the aluminum. Before departing he told us it would be 4 to 6 weeks before the install. In August I called asking when they would get to my roof. I was told they would call. I waited and then called again. I was given September 16th as the date, the crew showed up, then abruptly left without doing any work. No one on the crew had the decency to knock on the door and say why. I called that day and was told the supervisor would call to explain. No call was received. So I called again and was told they needed to brace the underside of the roof, and by the way that would cost an additional $600. After waiting so long, I agreed to the increase reluctantly. The estimator and I had discussed using scaffolding and planks so the crew did not have to walk on the roof. Well, the estimator was dead wrong about that. Another few calls finally got us on the schedule again. The second time the crew arrived on October 11, unloaded the truck, then disappeared with the material. Once again no one bothered to tell us why. I called and was told the supervisor would call me to explain. It took my call to finally reach the supervisor who told me they could not do my roof. He explained there was no way to attach the roofing material to the existing roof. So after waiting almost fifteen weeks, we will not have a roof. My questions are why the estimator was not more knowledgeable, and why it took multiple calls by me to get them to schedule and respond to the crews departures. If you want a responsive company who does work in a reasonable amount of time, stay away from Bay to Bay Roofing. read more

Bay to Bay Roofing was a terrible experience for our family. They were very unprofessional and caused a lot of additional errors and damage to the roof decking and inside of the attic. When requested to inspect the damage they refused. They didn't tarp properly when rain came and caused water damage and water stains on the ceilings. Had I not been constantly writing letters and calling for them to come and fix their mistakes they would've walked away from the job without a care. One of the roofers even came and knocked on my door and asked me to call him a taxi! None of them wore masks and they were very unprofessional. I STRONGLY discourage anyone from using this company for any roof repairs. With SEVERAL errors and unprofessional acts I requested to speak with the owner of the company... the only time he spoke with me was when he came to pick up the payment and did not show much remorse for the additional stress, damage, and errors that his company caused. I hired Bay to Bay from a referral from someone who owns apartments and other properties. She said Bay to Bay is great. Well, paid for a new roof at the end of June. They installed. I said I just purchased property 3 months ago. No leaks whatsoever. I just know it is an older roof and I want to make sure a new roof will last for another 20-30 years so I do not have any problems being a widow. They put the new roof on. I have had leaks since. Now, in 3 areas. I am losing my mind. They won't return my calls. They just ignore me! OMG. I can't believe a company like this exists!!! They claim to be a good company and put a new roof on and send idiots that tell you pretty much it's your problem? I can't handle the mental anguish. I just told my son he needs to handle it. He just went up in the attic to take pictures of all of the leaks. I hope they fix it. Don't go with this company. They have inadequate staff. They pay a crew of roofers (who look like they have green cards). Then, if you have leaks, they ignore it and hope it will go away. What kind of business is this? Awful communication and customer service. Never could get a call back. Was given a project date and no one ever showed up. Was told they had a scheduling issue and it would be the next day....still nothing. After my 8th unanswered call to the office, I decided to drive to the office to try and find out what's going on. No one could reach any of the "technicians" and I was given excuse after excuse. After being told the tech was wrapping up a job and would be at my house in an hour, I went home and waited. 3 hours later, I drove back to the office (Again, after plenty of unanswered calls) and was told they could come out on Saturday. Finally spoke to Jim, the Operations Manager, and was very matter of fact-ly told that I was the problem for coming into the office and "confronting" their staff. I didn't know calmly attempting to get information about a job you already put a deposit on was confrontational. While in the middle of explaining the issues I had with the service, and still trying to salvage the contract, I was told "I'm going to end this call. If you'd like us to show up tomorrow and do the job, we will and that's that". He had ZERO interest in hearing and/or addressing my concerns and attempted to turn them back on me. I'd rather wait a few more months and find someone else than deal with a company that points the finger back their customers for the inadequacies of their business. Just moved to Hudson, FL to a house site unseen. We knew we needed a new roof quickly and Anthony and his team knocked it out quickly and efficiently. They did a great job pulling all the old shingles off, replacing all the damaged/rotting wood, replacing the flashing, and laying the new shingles in 3 days. They coordinated the inspections and passed each one with ease. They did a great job cleaning up and picking up all the lose materials around the house and cleaning the gutters. Got a price of $6,500 then half way through had to sign a new contract for $12,000. They said much more rotten wood needed to be replaced. Didn't have the extra cash so had to take out a loan through there financing company at 20%. The company That did my work was Bay to Bay but my contract was with HLV roofing? They told me the subcontract with other companies, but there part of Bay to Bay, odd. One of the worst experiences. I had an estimate done and was told it would be a week. We currently have a leak that when it rains runs directly into our master closet and in our bedroom. I was told I would be called in a week to schedule the repair. After 3 weeks I called my sales agent and was informed I had never been put on the schedule but the work would be done a week from Monday, a month into it and several leaking storms later. Monday came and went and no workers. I called the office and was told that since it was raining that day, ummmm not at our house, it would be Wednesday due to real rain Tuesday, fine. Wednesday comes and goes, I call Thursday morning well they had to finish up a repair in Tampa Wednesday and Thursday, ummm I have been waiting for a repair for a month but ok, they will be there Friday and Saturday can you see where this is going? Friday afternoon I call at 3:00 could someone please tell me why no one is here. The girl in the office said she had to take herc hild to the doctor so she is not sure but she will call the manager and find out what the deal is she will call me right back. At 4:45 I call them back and she answers and says that she has not heard from him but she promises that she will call me before she leaves the office. Hmmm, it's Tuesday with no call do you think she is still at the office? The worst customer service I have ever had, If you are not going to show up pick up the phone and let a person know. My time is just as important as your time.
