Their employees were genuinely concerned for our folk's well being. This included conscientiously matching recipes with the low potassium diet needed by them. The meals they prepared were consistently tasty and nutritious. We also liked the way they organized our kitchen and refrigerator. They approach client care very pro-actively. Home Care Assistance will be at the top of the list for calls we make once our folks return to their Vermont summer residence.

They kept using the wrong codes when billing my insurance even after repeated calls to them from insurance. I now have a debt in collections. Almost anything I have had to contact them about took hour long phone calls and being sent hither and tither. The people are not the problem, their system is.

It was…read morelate July before I got the C-PAP parts to get it working so I could actually use it, after multiple calls to a help center, most of which went to voicemail and resulted in no return calls. I began receiving texts in September, which indicated I should stop using my machine as it needed parts replaced. I called them and ordered the parts, which arrived in October along with an email stating I could throw away all the previous pieces as I would have all new ones. I tossed my existing hoses, head-piece, and masks, eagerly unwrapping the new ones, only to find the head-piece that would connect the mask, the hose, and strap it to my face were missing. When I called for a replacement, I was told it would be $175 out-of pocket, as my insurance wouldn't cover it, and I would be unable to receive a new with insurance coverage until my birthday in January. In December, I received a bill for over $500. When I called to determine the source of the bill, I was told my insurance would not pay the amount, and it was for the C-PAP, which I had been able to use for 6 weeks. I called to explain my situation and negotiate the price based on the above circumstances, and was told someone would call me back once they discussed the matter. No one called me back. I spoke to my sleep doctor at Dartmouth, and she laughed, stating that is why they never recommend people use Apria. I called them again to try to have a reasonable negotiation about the payment, and was told I could have a one time 10% discount, provided I pay the full amount that day. I refused as $500 for 6 weeks of use still seems excessive. I have received notices that my $500 bill is being sent to collections now, and I am still not paying this on principle. No one should order from this company. I had had good experiences with Apria 15 years ago, but obviously those days have passed.
