Bayberry Spa is everything that I was hoping for and more. The ambiance, the dedication to pampering and relaxation, and an esthetician that knows her craft very well. Located in a historical home on Main Street, the experience was a relaxing, sensory heaven with an added bonus of anti aging. I booked a 60 minute facial and peel with Lani. I was already really looking forward to it when I arrived, but as someone with a love for historic homes, stepping up to the wrap around porch made me swoon. The home is so beautiful and nostalgic, the wood floors creaking and popping underfoot, and this heavenly mixed scent of skincare/spa/baked goods...I couldn't always put my finger on the scent, but even as someone with sensory sensitivities, it was a sensory delight. Lani put me right at ease. She clearly knows her craft and I felt that I could trust her to perform a chemical peel on my face. The whole experience was so soothing and luxious, I nearly fell asleep. Afterwards, she made suggestions for follow up services to meet my skincare goals and some products to use in the healing process. There was absolutely no pressure, just suggestions, as I had also indicated on my paperwork that I was open to suggestions and recommendations. I appreciate that this is asked ahead of time. 2 days out from my facial and peel, my skin still looks amazing and the peeling is very manageable. It's located in a gorgeous old house in downtown Greenwood and the vibes are immaculate. Once you get to your room it's relaxation from there baby! Hubby and I got massages from Amy & Jory today. Both were excellent, relaxing, wonderful. This place has all the things you want in a luxury spa without the stuffy atmosphere. There's a coziness about it that is more welcoming and homey than most places. Service was great and I loved resting in the quiet room with a hot neck pillow while waiting for hubby to be done. My second visit was spot on perfection! Sadie is absolutely fabulous, the 90 min massage was exactly what I wanted, and more than I expected. The spa itself is beautiful, the room was large and welcoming, had its own private attached restroom. We talked over what I was wanting and any trouble spots and she checked in with me several times during. I was so zenned out I almost fell asleep, which is not usual for me during a massage. I didn't have time this visit to hang out in their relaxation space, which sounds cozy and I've noted next time to plan to arrive early and relax there, or have time after. I've been to Bayberry Spa twice for massages and facials. Today I had a 90-minute massage and it was fantastic! Kate and Melanie were both very good at making me feel welcome and their massages were top tier! The receptionist is always very nice and makes you feel welcome. I saw one 1-star review that said he felt anger and hostility. I wonder if he was in the same place because the spa is very inviting and the staff is all pleasant and there is a very calm vibe about the whole place. I love that they give you a nice glass of cold water and a Godiva chocolate after. What a nice touch! I'll definitely be back soon! read more

I've been trying to get to Bayberry for a few months now. My schedule finally worked out and I booked a 30 minute massage over my lunch break. I couldn't believe how cute the location was! A couple ladies were sitting on the porch and once I left, I realized why they chose to do that! My masseuse was Charity and she focused on my trigger points with the lotion I got to pick at check in. It was so relaxing (so relaxing that I'll never do over lunch again- hehe). They provide you with some infused water after your session and allow you to relax until you are ready to leave. The spa is adorable and the smell is so welcoming. They have several products you can purchase if you are interested. I was also pleased to receive a thank you card after my visit. I'll certainly be back to pamper myself again soon. read more

Updated review! Bayberry has moved locations into a gorgeous house in Greenwood. It is a stunning piece of history too - plus it can accommodate more people! They now have 7 rooms for services which is much better for larger parties I always book a massage and facial combo with Jen and Jade respectively. Jade works magic on my face! I always leave there glowing with baby soft skin after only 30 minutes of a facial. So worth it!! You won't be disappointed I'm also now hooked on their Farmhouse Fresh lineup that they use - the Pink Moon scent is EVERYTHING! They even have a skin care line that is used during the facials. I'm trying out the Illumination Fruit to try to get rid of some of this mask acne- yuck! You can even choose these scents for your massage, or you can go with something like lavender or eucalyptus (more traditional scents). It's such an amazing experience start to finish! I've never felt any pressure to purchase and always feel free to browse. I have received deep tissue and prenatal massages here from a variety of therapists. All have been excellent at listening to and addressing concerns. This space is designed to be relaxing and everyone is warm and friendly. If you're looking for a great massage in a beautiful location, Bayberry is an excellent option! My wife and I had a couples massage here yesterday evening, probably one of the best massages I've ever had! Was so relaxed afterwards, took care of any area that was bothering me. I like how this business is in the old house in olde town Greenwood that used to be a bed and breakfast way back I do believe! But they have the relaxing music playing throughout the house, it's very clean and the staff are very friendly and the massage therapist were excellent! I found out about this place just googling for massage businesses near me and this one was on there, my wife and I were so glad that we went with this one. When you pull up to Bayberry Spa, the most charming house that is over 100 years old greets you! It has a generous front porch with a porch swing and other comfy seating. There is a handicap ramp and a handicap parking spot. When you walk in, there is a little shop before you get to the registration desk, but you will be greeted and offered help as you walk in. The shop carries various lotions, bath bombs and so on. The products have a nice, light, natural smell. If you are getting a massage, you can choose a scent to add to the massage lotion. The room I had my massage in had a private, bathroom. The room was beautifully restored/kept with all its old house character. Allison was the massage therapist I had today. She was very nice, and attentive to my needs. The massage table was heated! And Allison made sure it was a comfortable temperature. She also asked about the pressure of the massage several times (which was always perfect!). After the massage, Allison waited outside while I got dressed, and walked me to the front shop area. She gave me a glass of water and offered me hot tea (delicious)! The receptionist was very nice as she checked me out. This was a wonderful birthday treat! You're able to schedule your appointment through an online service with absolutely no trouble. I've had a trial of the cupping as well as the bamboo massage. Cupping wasn't my thing and the staff graciously respected that and didn't try to upsell me to add it on.
