Dr Burns has gone very downhill over the last few years. He is no longer compassionate and doesn't listen to concerns regarding your pets.

At 6 pm, we took her to Update because they are well regarded and available. Two caring vets examined her and performed tests. She had fluid around her lungs and in her abdomen. The fluid in her abdomen was tainted with blood, likely cancer. They recommended compassionate euthanasia. Not expected. We were brought to a special room, and the sweetest thing happened. They said "No dog should go to Heaven without having Chocolate." We were given a Hershey's kiss to feed to Mia. While we cradled her body, she woofed down the chocolate. She had not eaten for three days prior. They had a sign on wall explaining the chocolate treat tradition. "A final treat: Some veterinary clinics keep a jar of "goodbye kisses". The sentiment is that a beloved pet should experience the taste of a forbidden food just before they pass.Emotional comfort: Sharing a special snack offers grieving pet parents a final moment of connection and joy during a painful goodbye." Service from receptionist to doctors was kind and understanding. They were considerate of our emotional state. They presented the situation with compassion. They were great! They even mailed a Sympathy Card with a handwritten note to our home. Highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

I was actually charged an extra $85 because I took too long trying to make a decision on my cat's treatment. I spoke to the vet and I said if we do deductive reasoning, if the steroid was working, and the antibiotic is not one would conclude that this is probably cancer I forget the specifics on how I reasoned with the vet. I went to MY vet the following Monday. The vet at UPSTATE actually noted that it was cancer but they wanted me to spend thousands of dollars to test to see if it was cancer and I said no way. My sweet cat was put down that Monday because he was very sick, cancer.

I was there this date 10/3/25 and got some bad knews about my cat that I had brought in.. That being said, the Dr (don't know his name) explained all the possibilites that I/we could consider. But his attention to the cat and the degree of concern was geniune and heart felt.... I appreciated that and will consider what happens next....

I went there stressed he had a UTI then you leave him covered in urine and also some STOOL, My poor baby looked terrible and they left him covered in his pee all scared and didn't even attempt to clean him other than putting a pee pad in his crate which did nothing to clean him otherr then soaking up the pee left in his crate. they also had to take his collar off and i wasn't going to put it on him until the next day to then realize they broke his collar taking it off him and didn't even tell me that...I love dr Kinney, she is the only good provider there but whoever treated my Milo that day did not care for him like you would your own pet, I'm extremely dissapointed with how he was cared for, i do not recommend any other vet then dr Kinney if you need to see someone there.

Took my 14 year old indoor cat who was in declining health there for an emergency exam. This cat was suffering already and not used to people. They were abrasive and don't take the time to clearly explain things. They then took my old, scared , weak cat into a back room for blood work and gave her a shot. She could IMMEDIATELY no longer walk . The rude assistant complained 4 TIMES that my elderly cat Who is in a stressful environment already happened to get some urine on her shirt and how she would now have to go to her car and change as she huffed and walked away . YOU WORK AT VET!! I returned shortly after realizing how bad the leg was and that it was not getting better and upon questioning the doctor, another person who was apparently eavesdropping just walked into the appointment, with the rude assistant. So I am now sitting in a corner with 3 people standing over me . The most unprofessional scenario I've experienced at any business. These people have NO class, concern , or EMPATHY for animals or people . I Immediately took my cat somewhere else to be greeted and treated like normal people again. The cat unfortunately never walked again so could no longer eat or get to the litter box and passed away . They are still trying to collect money from me after I Paid 400 for one vist !!!This business should be shut down and inspected . AVOID AVOID AVOID
