After my mammogram I waited for the ultrasound where another person had to leave between these two services because she was also so late for work. 2 people missing diagnostic exams because the examiners were so far behind. And that's just in the 2.5 hours I was there! I understand imaging places are understaffed but to already be running a full hour late at 10 am is terrible planning. Two women leaving between two imaging sessions because they couldn't be any later to work is terrible health care administration. I have to come back in 6 months and I'm going to try and find a location that isn't run this poorly. Wish me luck!

Then a lady called me up to collect payment. Unfortunately she also was exceptionally rude. She could not accept a digital payment so she had to enter the card information manually. She did it three times yelling out how it's being declined loudly for everyone to hear. I decided to call the provider who pays and she put them on speaker again for everyone to hear and was quite rude to them. She also complained loudly that I am now late for my appointment due to the errors manually entering the payment information. They read her the number and payment information, which was exactly the same as before and it finally worked. I think she just didn't enter the payment information correctly the first few times. I was so embarrassed. The only reason they get any stars is because my tech who did the imaging was fine. I do not recommend this facility and the way they treated me was horrendous. I do not know why they have such rude office staff.

I had to reschedule for the Palm Harbor location a week later. When I arrived, the front desk insisted I had the wrong date and time--until I showed them their own confirmation text and they suddenly realized they had double-booked the machine. No apology. After the test they said the CD with my images would take 3-5 minutes. I waited over 15 minutes only to be told the employee went to lunch and probably forgot. Three days later my sister tried to pick it up (her name was already left there) and the staff refused to listen--even though the CD was literally sitting at the desk with her name on it. Completely disorganized and terrible customer service. I can only hope the technicians performing the scans are more competent than the front desk staff. The irony is that they have a memo on the front desk window reminding patients to be respectful because it's a healthcare facility--maybe the staff should read it too.

There is plenty of hand sanitizer available throughout their rooms. You can sit inside or outside while waiting. I went in for a routine mammogram today. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment, and I was done within half an hour. I thought that was very reasonable for any medical service. The mammogram tech was pleasant enough and seemed to know what she was doing. There is plenty of parking, and the spaces are surprisingly big. I'll happily return for routine imaging services.

I am learning that a lot of things weren't properly looked into while under the care of TGH. Almost had brain surgery for what isn't even the issue. She took almost 2 hours with me today! She knows more about me now than my previous primary doc did after 3 years!! And I don't think he's spent a total of 2 hours with me over those 3 years! Her assistant Kristen was also great and good at drawing blood! One stick filled all the tubes. My doctor originally sent the order to BayCare, but the soonest appointment they had was a month away... at 5:45 a.m. on a Sunday. Absolutely not. So I started calling around and Gulf Coast MRI got me in the very next day. Immediate win. From the moment I walked in, the ladies in the office were AMAZING. This was my first MRI ever -- and I ended up needing two -- and they walked me through everything step by step. They were so kind, so patient, and totally held my hand through the whole process. They didn't take my insurance insurance (but they do take some), but it was $300 per body part, and honestly, between my HSA and what I would've paid toward my deductible anyway, it probably cost me the same (or less). For next-day service? Worth. Every. Penny. The machine is loud (no surprise there), but they let me jam to 80s music the whole time, which made it way less intimidating and honestly kind of a vibe. I walked out with two CDs in hand and they let me know my doctor would have the radiology report within a few business days. Efficient, friendly, professional, and just overall great humans. If you need an MRI and don't want to wait weeks while living in pain, this is your place. Total rock stars!
