I have had two totally fine experiences at Tower Radiology, for my son and myself. Right now, they are appropriately socially distancing and screening for COVID symptoms. There is plenty of hand sanitizer available throughout their rooms. You can sit inside or outside while waiting. I went in for a routine mammogram today. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment, and I was done within half an hour. I thought that was very reasonable for any medical service. The mammogram tech was pleasant enough and seemed to know what she was doing. There is plenty of parking, and the spaces are surprisingly big. I'll happily return for routine imaging services. read more

I was recently told by Dr. Velusamy's office that they prefer patients not use TGH imaging for anything besides an echo. The quality of the imaging is poor. In response to the comment added to this. John Couris and Kristen are well aware of things. Choosing to not improve anything but deny care to patient. Scary thing for those going to your facility. I am learning that a lot of things weren't properly looked into while under the care of TGH. Almost had brain surgery for what isn't even the issue. I may have a surgery to correct the issue outside of the millions spent a TGH. Years of suffering. read more

Staff are lovely and competent. Log in and test results access through MyChart are horrible. After hours of struggling with the log in/account system and an unproductive call to the Help Center, I had to visit the imaging center to get my MRI test results in person. After many years of excellent and respectful care from Tower Diagnostics, this is a sad decline into intrusive, unreliable, data-grabbing account management. I am actively seeking an alternative to TGH Imaging. read more

I would like to express my dissatisfaction of the scheduling department for radiology. I had an order to have a CT done, my doctor office faxed 2 times the order, I spoke to person on telephone at scheduling center and also stopped by my doctors office and they spoke to them directly. Upon arriving at the facility to get my procedure done, they told me that they mistakenly had approved the wrong type of procedure for me and I could not get CT done that day. I waited and spoke to a supervisor which was very nice and had me scheduled for the correct type of CT. She was very understanding and helpful. Now, I just called to make sure I could pick up my disk on my way to the doctor appointment called the imaging number for medical records she (Patricia) tried to call the Trinity location and nobody answered the telephone. What a mess! I am very disappointed in the scheduling department - The facilities are great, however to get there is a mess read more

They don't take appointments for X-rays. I was told a 20-30 minute wait. It's been 90 minutes and I am still waiting. While I understand there can be a wait, a realistic estimate would go a long way when deciding whether to stay or come back. read more

Mark Rieuland, MD with Tower Radiology signed an ultrasound report they conducted on me. He said the thickness of my endometrium was normal and then later in the impressions, he said it was abnormal. The report was incompetently done and reviewed by the good Dr. Rieuland. I have tried requesting a review and clarification. I was told that my MD had to do that - as though, I, as a patient, could not identify clearly contradictory statements. I then complained to another complaint spot recommended by Google (a Tower email) and received no response. I am not trying to complain to the site director and find where else to complain and try to get a response. The report was incompetently done and the responsiveness to my concerns is non-existent. I do not recommend this office at all! The receptionist made me wait and wait because she claimed claimed that the doctor had to request for both breasts to be examined. However, the DR said both breasts were not necessary, so I waited unnecessarily for almost 2 hours. I only got quick service after I complained that I was missing half a day of work for a "routine" exam. The actual exam was an even worse experience! I passed out during the exam - literally. The machine turned and got my head stuck and it was so bad and painful that hurt my ear for more than 2 weeks. My right breast was squeezed so hard that it leaked a little bit of blood through my nipple! After the exam, I cried in my car due to the pain. I had severe pain for several days after because they squeezed so hard. I have had these tests before and never had a bad experience. This was the worst dr experience I have ever had in my life. I don't even call it an exam, I call it "torture" because of the way they treated me. It is hard to put into words the severity of the pain she brought me. I happened to me was far the worst experience I had in a clinic and I would never go back to this place again. read more

In the past I have gone to the Carrollwood location, but because that location no longer has Saturday hours, I chose this location because it is closer to work and I could get in and get to work on time. I made a 745am appointment and was told to be there at 730am. I got there earlier than 730am, filled out my paperwork, and had to wait a half hour beyond my appointment time to be called back. I was ticked off because you would think that if you have a 745am appointment, you are probably the first or second person of the day and it doesn't take but 5 min to do a mammogram. I said something to the front desk about having to wait a half hour, because honestly I was starting to be concerned that I would not be on time to work. A lot of people had come in after me and been taken back, but they explained that those people were going back for different procedures. I would also say that the person who did my previous mammograms at the Carrollwood office was better. It hurt less. I hurt a little all day after this one. The technician apologized for being late after she finished with me and at that point I was wondering if she was a little less gentle because I complained. Anyway, next year I will go back to Carrollwood, or another provider. I did make it to work on time, but only a few minutes early so I did cut it close. read more

We've been going to Tower Radiology in South Tampa for many years, and with good reason. The staff is exceptional. They take care of patients in a timely way, keep you informed on what's going, and make patients feel comfortable. The last time we went, we were lucky enough to be helped by Sheri, a real star at Tower. She took real interest in our issue, and made a tremendous effort to resolve it, guiding us and explaining things along the way. The appointment scheduling department is as inept as it gets. Every single time I call it's a minimum of 30 minutes. I get a different answer every time I speak with someone. They try blaming insurance whenever they get a chance. They somehow booked me for two MRI's even though I only needed one. They had a second one for my tibia scheduled, when the issue is in my shoulder. I have no idea how this place functions on a day-to-day basis. read more

Got up this morning and skipped breakfast for an MRI at 10:45. Skipping breakfast is a big deal, because of my IBS, which makes skipping meals especially irritating. Drove for an hour from Bartow to the Brandon site which my doctor had for whatever reason scheduled me at. Filled out the paperwork and waited patiently to be called back. When I was, it was to inform me that I had been scheduled for the wrong kind of MRI! I was scheduled for a Pelvic MRI, but I needed a Pelvic-Prostate MRI. It must have been a mistake by Tower, because the lady at the desk was confused by the mistake, and even made the comment that "it says it on the paperwork". To make it even worse, there wasn't another appointment available until March 30th! So, I'm dealing with cancer, I'm having to drive all over creation to jump through hoops so I can begin Radiation Therapy, and this is the level of competence that I have to deal with! When you consider the kind of money made by medical practices, you'd think you could hire more competent people for the job! read more

Absolutely horrible service. My mother needed a chest scan. we were sent to 3 different office locations because their machines were broke. Nobody called to notify us they were broke, we didn't find out till we arrived for the appointment. Then we finally got sent to one that had a working machine and then they lose my mothers paperwork. Sat at the office 2hrs before they finally told us they lost the paperwork And had to reprint it. Never would recommend them. read more

She was very patient with me and even stayed late to get a different test done because we had problems with the first test that was ordered. This was December 2020. I was scheduled for bilateral breast biopsies and needed pre-op chest x-ray and EKG. My son advised I should go to the Lois Av. office. The x-ray was fine but EKG was not. The tech was having trouble placing the electrodes. After the 3rd time of placing and taking the reading she said I guess it's ok. Well I received a call from the surgeon's office EKG was not good and could not proceed. In a panic I called my PCP and their PA did a 4th one and no problem! Will go back to Habana Av. for everything. read more

Please be very careful with this service. I had a referral and they said they would get authorization from my insurance. My insurance said they never got authorization. I called Tower the day before my MRI and made sure they were in network and what the cost that would be billed to my insurance....neither were true. they billed under an out of network provider and billed $500 more than stated. So now my insurance won't cover this very expensive MRI. Very poor service! Go somewhere else! read more

If you're self pay.. be careful because they will just keep telling you the results are "incomplete" and they need more diagnostics-but it's because the images aren't done correctly the first time. They claim to have same day, next day, and weekend appointments but that is false as well. I as well, had staff members lie to me and if the images taken cannot be read because they weren't taken correctly... why am I paying again? read more

Worst customer care! Their hours say they close at 7. I called and they said their radiology closes at 4. I left work early to rush over there. I got there at 3:20 and asked for a chest X-ray for my sick child. The lady told me the x ray tech had already closed up for the day. Ummm ok? So you just decide to stop helping people early. This was after me explaining how I'd gone to the Habana location the night before only to find out they couldn't find my drs orders. So now I've completed two wastes trips. Additionally, I tried to visit this place last week, but they wouldn't allow me to get an EKG then because the vacationing cardiologist didn't want to have a stack of charts to review once he returned. After scheduling me for the wrong type of mammogram (Thankfully I knew it because my family is in the medical field) they then messed up my doctor's RX for ultrasound with a diagnostic mammogram and forced me to figure out how and when to get this done. They had no openings and didn't seem to care. Basically it became my problem. I had to go to another location (several locations actually on a Saturday morning in a panic) where I just begged to be seen for this and got someone nice who did get me in, at another location, 2 days later. Yes. That's 3 locations so far. This was something they should've done for me immediately, at place #1. Or at least the next day! Other than that one lady at the Dale Mabry location, the staff at the Lois Ave office was not helpful or compassionate. Next they said they would NOT be able to schedule me for a breast biopsy, which the ultrasound results showed I needed. How'd you like to wait 4-6 weeks for a biopsy with a 1/2 inch lump in your breast ? My Houston doctor was so disgusted by Tower, she had me fly to Texas where I got a biopsy the next day, and thank God the lab results found it to be benign. It is scary enough to be in a situation like that. Being treated like a person would have been nice. I would choose another radiology clinic if you can. I should've just flown to TX where all 3 of these would've been done in a day at one professional place. Huge difference in the quality of care. read more

First time at this location today. Usually go to Carrollwood Tower but I am on a clinical trial and had to come here for an MRI. A little hiccup in the sign in process because of being in a trial but afterwards all went smoothly and on time! Front ladies were very nice and my technician, Mark, was fabulous. Went today for mammogram. Technician was very rude and unkind. I have nothing wrong with me this was a routine exam. I am sure some patients have a serious situation and deserve compassion and should never be treated the way I was treated. The attitude was one of uncaring. In April 2017 I had a similar experience with an MRI technician at Tower. I recommend to go to another diagnostic center if you need diagnostics for a serious condition because the employees and most likely management act in a way that they do not care about you or your condition. I went to this location for a CT scan with contrast because it was close where I live. However, when I arrived to the location for my appointment, there were signs all over the office indicating that they were having computer problems and to expect delays. I filled out my paperwork and was advised to have a seat, and to expect delays. I waited a full hour before I was brought back and told to change into a gown. I was literally lying down on the CT machine before the technician asked me about my allergy to the prescription drug Cipro. I told her that I had an allergic reaction that made my throat feel like it was closing up and she consulted with the radiologist and told me that I needed to take Prednisone prior to being injected with the contrast. Now, the technician Gloria was extremely nice, knowledgeable and really the highlight of my experience at Tower Diagnostics. However, couldn't the girls up front have let me know when I submitted the paperwork, so I did not have to wait a full hour and change before finding this out? Actually, when I made the appointment for the procedure, someone should have asked me about possible allergies. So, I was given an appointment to return the following week. I returned the following week after taking my Prednisone and when I arrived, I was informed that the CT machine was down. Since I had already taken the medication in preparation for the procedure, I opted to then go over to their Habana location and proceeded to wait an hour there until they could work me in. My experience at the Habana location was much better than the Lois St. location. If you can avoid the Lois St. location, you should. These folks are an absolute disaster, except for Gloria, who was an absolute sweetheart. I was actually quite sad when I was told I would have to go to Habana and someone else would be doing the CT with contrast. Anyway, pick ANY other location, and go there. Avoid Lois St.! read more

NOT GOOD- Dorsey in the billing office was so very rude. Employer told employees to pay then submit to insurance - new insurance company. Insurance company needed itemized statement. Dorsey refused to help saying she did not have to provide any information since it as paid upfront with cash. She also said I had no history as a patient which is NOT TRUE. So, rude Dorsey and no medical history to found?! NOT GOOD - Suggest You DO NOT USE- find another provider that offers customer service and can keep track of your records. I was on the phone with insurance company when they called Dorsey. She said I lied about having insurance. I told them I would pay cash and submit to insurance. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! read more
