He started to make progress immediately, and his progress continued until he graduated from speech therapy. Due to the severe nature of his disability, this did take a few years, but without Tamara it would have taken far, far longer, and he may not ultimately had the positive outcome that he did have. I have had many school speech therapists over the years, but Tamara is far, far better, and is worth every penny. She also helped us with the IEP process and our insurance company, which some therapists are reluctant to do. I cannot emphasize how good she really is.

We are working with Kate as our therapist. Before starting we were a bit sceptical about remote speech sessions, especially for the little toddler. But after half a year of working with Kate we like it very much. For my daughter we do a weekly session where we check the progress, work on different acitvities and get instructions for the next week. For my son it's pretty intense, 4-5 sessions a week with a very good use of multimedia options. Kate is switching between gaming activities, songs to sentense patterns she writes on the screen. She goes an extra mile not only to work on speech, but also on understanding that is vital for my son. Kate is also very open to accomodate our needs. My wife has a pretty basic English, so they are successfully using online interpretation to communicate.

We previously had a SLP and a special education tutor (who we still love dearly) but Carlin is both of them combined into one! She is a "one stop shop" if you will. Given her educational background (PhD student), extensive experience, and her ability to connect with my kids, she has been a dream come true for us! She is just not good with kids. She doesn't have the patients for the kids who need it the most. The kids who have short attention spans. She thinks all kids will sit in a chair with their hands folded and listen to her lesson plans! If your child is obedient I can see her working for you. But if you have a special needs child like mine I have no better words to use other than "useless". Please don't waste your time.
