It took nearly three months to secure appointments for my son. The initial appointments were scheduled incorrectly, and I then had to complete additional paperwork to have them corrected, which resulted in further delays in care. Communication from the office has been inconsistent -- each time I called, I spoke with a different staff member and had to re-explain the entire situation. There was also confusion regarding appointment times, despite me notifying the office about schedule changes in advance. That said, I want to be very clear that the therapists -- particularly Ms. Nicole -- have been wonderful. She is passionate, attentive, and clearly cares deeply about her patients. The clinical care itself has been positive. It's unfortunate that the administrative side does not reflect the same level of organization and professionalism as the therapists. I truly hope the practice can improve its scheduling and communication systems, because the clinicians deserve that support. For families who have flexible schedules, this may be a good fit. However, for two working parents who need consistency and clear communication, it was not sustainable for us.

She is just not good with kids. She doesn't have the patients for the kids who need it the most. The kids who have short attention spans. We only had a few sessions because her assessment found that he did not have insurance-justified reasons for OT, so she wanted to save us money. Moira and her staff are truly special people and I appreciate their neurodiversity-affirming, child-led, respectful approach to OT. She gave me a lot of helpful tips for developing his fine motor skills as well. When you have a child who is developmentally delayed and/or neurodivergent, you hear ALL DAY LONG from professionals about their deficits, what's "wrong" with them, how they're different from their peers, etc, and it's honestly depressing. Moira was one of the few professionals who spoke of my son from a strengths-based perspective which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this practice to any parent whose child needs OT.

Now that my daughter is a teenager and prefers spending more time with her own age peers, I'm so grateful to Krystle and Karen for starting the monthly AAC outings where my daughter gets to interact and make friends with other AAC users in the community. We have been attending these outings for 3 years now. The staff really introduced me to what occupational therapy is and taught me how to work with my child. Previously, my child would cover their ears in public and would cry all the time. Without realizing it, my child needed more help than I originally thought. After two years of coming to PPT, I now know how to help my child with their special needs. They are so patient and really are empathetic with my child. Their team are all so friendly, they have even offered us different services at their office. Speech therapy with Madison has helped me be able to understand what my child is asking for. He picked up on simple ASL quickly and we are meeting him half way. We did not think we would get this far, I'm so excited to see what my child learns from their training.

He was diagnosed with Autism at age 1.5 and Sharlyn has been working with him for the past 2 years.She is a complete professional, courteous, energetic and super knowledgable about all things Autism and speech related. She was the first person who told us that our son has Apraxia in addition to his Autism diagnosis and she has been diligently working with him to help him overcome his challenges. We have gone from having a completely nonverbal child with no expressive or receptive language to a happy, curious, chatty 3.5 year old who has a huge vocabulary, understands most of what we say and has recently started using 2-5 word phrases and sentences!!
