They responded with a text asking if I had received their email. I responded with a second email. They responded with five additional texts asking if I had received their email. DON'T USE THIS AGENCY! A crazy, aggressive angry man owns this agency, his name is Mike Bayless. Bayless Insurance has been our agent for 8 years covering all our auto, homeowners, various trailers and such. We had never met him, only spoken to his staff over the phone until today. Today I went by the office to revise some coverages and ask some questions about actual values vs. insured values. His staff was professional and friendly while answering questions. I asked about how the underwriter determines actual value on utility trailers and garden tractors so that I could use that source to choose an insured value. They couldn't say where the values come from incase of loss. So they called the underwriter to find out, but couldn't get a clear answer. Staff kept saying they "guess" the underwriter just looks it up incase of a loss, but couldn't get an answer as to where or what resource was referenced. During the calm polite discussion with his staff, Mr. Bayless came into the doorway of the office and began verbally attaching me. Aggressively raising his voice, saying .."why are you abusing MY GIRLS? They gave you an answer!" I was shocked and appalled by his aggression. I answered ".. if by abusing, you mean asking questions that they can't answer, and need to call the underwriter for the information, I guess I felt like as customer I should be able to get information from my agent." He got louder and more aggressive, pacing back and forth like a maniac. I tried to calm him by explaining my intention, but he clapped his hands in my face and screamed "you get out of here". Well, I was finished trying to reason with an unreasonable person at that point, so I clapped my hands like he did and calmly said "forget you! I'll finish my business with the staff and if you don't like it, you can call the police!" He stomped back to his office and I finished my re-valuations. There is seriously something wrong with this guy, mental illness, something. The staff was shocked as well. Needless to say, I'll be moving all policies to a different agent. read more
