Our server, Trent, was fantastic! He was personable, attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. The customer service was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. We started with salads and appetizers. I ordered the garden salad with Caesar dressing. The dressing was absolutely delicious--one of the best parts of the meal--but the salad itself was disappointing. It consisted mostly of romaine lettuce with just a tiny slice of onion, a couple of cucumber pieces, and a few carrot strips. The crab cakes, on the other hand, were excellent! They were flavorful and paired perfectly with the remoulade sauce, which tasted fresh and homemade. For my entrée, I ordered the stuffed shrimp. Unfortunately, it fell well below my expectations. The dish consisted of seven shrimp, each topped with just a small dab of crab stuffing. While the sauce was delicious, the overall presentation and portion of the stuffing left the dish feeling underwhelming. Around the table, opinions were mixed. The fried okra and hush puppies were both big hits, and everyone agreed the oysters were excellent. However, the Captain's Platter was a little disappointing, and the blackened fish was heavily over-seasoned for a couple of people in our group.
