There was an error on my billing and I had to work with the office manager and front desk ladies and they spoke to me like I was dumb. I had to end up contacting another Wellstone to get it resolved (which it was quickly and without rudeness). There wasn't a nurse available so the PA called one of the ladies from the front desk to come in and hand her things while working with me. Since Tomasek left, this place is the worst and I won't go back.

When I went in I had lost 50 lbs . (180-130lbs, 5'11") and it was painful even to drink water. My Dr. at S&W was an incompetent idiot and saw me as a commodity instead of a patient. Her only concern wasn't my health, but how much money she could make off of me. Dr. Mattson quickly realized I had GERD and put me on Nexium which immediately ended several years of pain. She discovered I had diabetes, high blood pressure and a few other problems, She also took me seriously and referred me to a neurologist who diagnosed me with early onset Parkinson's Disease. My previous doctor at S&W hadn't noticed any of those things, would not listen to me, didn't care and told me I just wanted drugs. I never imagined a doctor could change your life so much for the better or worse. I appreciate so much that doctor Mattson was there to help me improve my quality of life. Dr. Mattson is one of the most pleasant, down to earth doctors I've ever met. Occasionally I had to wait to see the doctor as she was running late, but that never bothered me because I knew that when it was my turn, I would have Dr. Mattson's full attention for as long as I needed it, too. This isn't a doctor that rushes in, gives you antibiotics or something and herds you back out in five minutes; this is a doctor who really cares and actually listens. I don't see dr. Mattson much anymore because she is nearly impossible to get in to see. Word has spread about how wonderful she is, and she is extremely busy. When I do get to see her, it always makes me happy just to see her friendly smile. Over the years, I have shared a lot of laughs and tears in her office, and I will always appreciate Dr. Mattson for not only being a great doctor; but also a great woman

I brought it up to staff multiple times and they told me to "quit talking about it". In my residential stay I witnessed two male staff members get in a physical altercation with each other. Dr. Perry was a good doctor when I first starting seeing him, seemed to understand my situation and…read morehelped. However, one day he just stopped managing my chronic pain stating I needed a pain management doctor, well, did that twice both times with IPA in Killeen where they did nothing to manage my pain other than procedures until I did all of them and never once gave me anything to manage pain! So I went back to Dr. Perry and got him to help me again, he did so for a bit, stating I need to see a new pain management doctor, so I did, this doctor said he doesn't prescribe pain meds and does exactly what IPA does and that there was nothing he could do... So, I went back to Perry and he told me nothing he could do for pain according to the restrictions set by the CDC.... Come to find out I looked up the CDC guidelines for opioids being prescribed, the CDC can not make law, that was left up to each states legislative bodies and in Texas he was right about acute pain being limited to 10 days, however, in Texas law, chronic pain, palliative care, cancer pain, end of life care can be treated long term by opioids!!! In short Dr. Perry is a liar and might as well just be a PA or nurse assistant.... I would never recommend him to anyone!
