Being warmly welcomed at the front door by Satonia, the receptionist and everything-doer, starts my sessions off to a great start each time. The attentive techs support the physical therapists in their quest to get me rehabbed back to baseline and beyond. I have rehabbed 4 body parts over 2+ years at Vista White Rock and have observed many patients come, go and come back to rehab another body part also! I love the mix of ages and fitness levels present at any given time at the clinic from teenage athletes to middle age weekend warriors to the elderly, grateful to regain mobility and increase strength. The surroundings are bright, open and friendly. Small, as well as the large, victories are celebrated by everyone. After previous poor experiences at four other PT clinics for various rehab needs, I took advantage of Vista's 30 minute free consultation to interview them prior to a major foot surgery. I was extremely impressed and started PT soon after my surgery. I was even more impressed with their techniques, challenges, creativity, the way they listen, and, of course, the outcome! I don't usually write reviews, but the outstanding care and kindness I received from everyone on the staff deserve to be recognized. From the day I arrived, every single person treated me with compassion, respect, and genuine concern for my well-being. During my entire stay, I never encountered a single employee with a bad attitude. That alone says a great deal about the culture of this facility. There is a physician and a nurse practitioner who do rounds every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Both of them were never in a rush to listen to my concerns and issues with my recovery- and I had quite a few in the beginning. They even came to the PT area to make sure nobody was left out. That was truly amazing to me! The nursing staff provided excellent care and always made me feel safe and well looked after. Whenever I rang the bell in the painful stages of my recovery, someone showed up in a very timely fashion. Whenever they didn't, I knew it was because they were busy taking care of someone else, not because they didn't care. The physical therapy team was encouraging, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping me recover and regain my strength. The housekeeping staff kept my private room spotless and comfortable, making it feel like a home rather than a medical facility. The kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure I had meals I enjoyed. They were always accommodating and often prepared something extra when I needed it. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making my stay as pleasant as possible. I was also impressed by the administration and leadership. Whenever I needed something, they did everything they could to make it happen. Whether it was a special request or simply making sure I was comfortable, they always responded with kindness and professionalism. What stands out most about The Villages of Lake Highlands is the people. Every department--from administration and nursing to therapy, housekeeping, dietary services, and everyone working behind the scenes--works together with one goal: providing the best possible care for their residents. After my initial evaluation with Nick and the first few therapy sessions, I could immediately tell I was making progress. I learned how to perform proper exercises and stretches and was encouraged to share feedback after each session. Nick listened to all my concerns and showed me how to tackle all those challenges. I was not only undergoing treatment, I was learning how to perform and maintain the correct and meaningful exercises at home or at the gym. What a great experience I had interacting and being treated by their professional, cheery and caring staff!

This could not be further from the truth. He fostered a rapport with me since I moved here in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic while I did not know any other physical therapy options. Jason leverages patients' injuries and personal lives for how they can serve his career needs. He told me that what I needed for my hip and hamstring tear was "personal training", when I could not run without pain. This medical opinion was incorrect, as determined by my orthopedic specialist and other physical therapists. Jason knew he just did not have the specific industry expertise, clinic space, or equipment to *appropriately* finish rehabbing my advanced near surgical-level hamstring tear. Many times in the years I saw him for my recurring spine issues, Jason was intrusive in my communication with my doctors to suit his business networking objectives. I have seen him make patients cry and lose his temper on his staff. I would avoid him and his practice at all costs.

Once inside, the information sign indicated the names and locations of various businesses. PT of Richardson was among them. I have only had one visit here so far, but my initial consultation was good. I was referred here by my primary care medical staff. The facility called me as soon as they received the notice of referral from my medical team. I had been working and unable to answer my phone during business hours, but this place called and left messages several times. I appreciated their persistence. I filled out paperwork digitally prior to my appointment, but I still had paperwork to complete the day of the visit. The physical therapist seemed to be very knowledgeable. He was patient and listened to me discuss my issues. He took time to measure and evaluate my mobility and gait. On the first day, I was given several exercises to do during the session and asked to continue doing them at home for homework. It was recommended that I attend therapy at least twice a week. My evaluation was in the evening after normal business hours. The facility was brightly lit and there were several people there (front desk staff, the physical therapist, therapy assistants, and clients). Daytime appointments are also available, but it is nice that after hours are available for clients working an 8-5 job. The therapist was great at explaining the exercises and techniques to do. He watched me perform them and told me the reason behind doing each of them. I'm not sure I will have this much attention at future sessions, but the therapist did say he oversees the staff who work with each of the clients. I'll report on my progress after attending several sessions. At the moment, I have shooting pain that comes and goes in my right heel. Having had plantar fasciitis in the past, I recognized that something is a bit different this time. An Xray taken previously shows a bone spur, but perhaps neither of these or both of these along with another issue are to fault for the pain. In any case, I'm doing big toe exercises which seems completely unrelated except that the therapist explained so eloquently how the big toe can contribute to so much of the fascia issues. Fingers and toes crossed this brings some relief.

The equipment is sanitized after every use. Masks were required, and temperatures taken at every visit. The room is never overbooked or crowded. The therapists work with your limitations never forcing only encouraging you to do your best that day. I am definitely on the road to recovery and would highly recommend this company.
