Jacuzzi suite from toilet to bed in one room
    Linda M.

Not a bad hotel overall, but I don't recommend the jacuzzi suite since it's in the middle of the room and there's no wall separating the toilet room from the bedroom, just a curtain. And the tub jets are a bit corroded and gets the rug wet around it when used as a shower. It's also quite slippery and should only safely be used as a bath. There is a hot tub in the pool area if you need to relax instead. The front staff is really nice and accommodating and we were checked in in no time. I appreciated that he just pointed to our room number and didn't say it out loud for safety of others overhearing. You are also given a one free drink coupon upon check-in for the stay, not one per night or per person, but it's a nice gesture anyways. Breakfast is waffles, cereal, and yogurt. There's hot food (and fruit) at the bar but bland and not worth it. You need to know to walk to the other room to get it though since I thought we just were too late for the whole spread. Waffles are a treat though so it was good. The restaurant on site has great burgers and drinks at night with cheap drinks from 4-6. There are two propane fire pits outside but we didn't get to enjoy them since almost everyone out there was smoking around them. One should be designated as smoke free in my opinion. There's also a small play structure with a slide and cornhole. It could be a nice place to hang out with your family and you can eat restaurant food out there as well. The rooms are humid and peeling and the sink does spray liquid behind it. There is a high pitched hum in our room and down the hallway that was annoying but not a deal breaker. The rooms are clean, just not updated. The beds are comfortable.

    Disgusting

The toilet bowl is next to the bed with no door. If you use the bowl, it is open for the entire room to enjoy with out any ventilation.

Tub is in rough shape and the stopper did not fit correctly so the tub drains as it's filling

Best I can say is - they're trying. Chapter 2 - whirlpool room warning! My most positive comment is that we saw many employees around and all were friendly. It's odd that most were in street clothes, not uniforms. It looked like a guest was collecting trash and sweeping. Our room was reasonably clean but only partially renovated with quite a few years, clearly. Furniture was nice & new looking but the bathroom was pretty rough. It looked like a 1980's first timer diy job. We booked the whirlpool tub room specifically for a treat. THE BATHROOM HAS NO WALLS AND IS OPEN TO THE REST OF THE ROOM. I don't know who decided that thin white shower curtains are enough privacy but let me tell you - even approaching 23 years of marriage, we prefer to not poop while in the same room together. . The original bathroom door is still there. It's hideously worn/damaged, has different color knobs on each side, cannot be opened the whole way as it hits the toilet (which means you have to squeeze between the counter and toilet to get out of the way of the door to move), and is entirely pointless since there's still no wall on the other side. Add insult to injury - the whirlpool tub leaked the water out quickly, and when we tried using the jets (scary to turn that ancient dial) the jets just shot water up out of the tub all over the place. Hysterical for a few minutes, but we did not have our lovely soak we had been looking forward to. Another plus was breakfast. It's a weird setup with the foods split between 2 areas of the lounge, and strange to have to have the bartender serve you eggs from behind the bar (you can't even see what foods are there because they're in the large metal servers usually put out for self service) but it was very nice having a hot breakfast included. You could also do diy waffles and choose cereals, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. I also really appreciated the filtered drinking water machine in the lobby. I would probably stay here again if I needed a simply sleep spot on a roadtrip but I would look for a cheaper, regular room with a normal bathroom.

The convenience of the bar/restaurant, happy hour in this hotel and the nice outdoor area is warranting 4 stars. Which would of been 2 stars after I checked into my room (6 hours drive, humid) only to find a huge yellow tractor out my window. I approached the front desk and asked the woman if the tractor would be out there my whole 3 night stay, she replied yes. Needless to say I then said well don't you have another room? Apparently she felt as if I should of sung the question and she snidely said "only if you ask nice". So I gave her one choice... a new room and was sure to get her name from other staff. As I headed down the hallway to retrieve my stuff and my pet from the tractor room only to move to another room, she (Georgia) yelled down the hallway "you can complain about me all you want!" Who does this in hospitality?? Be careful what you ask for! We had fun regardless.

This is probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. We had to switch rooms THREE times. The first room had stains on the sheets and MOLD on the ceiling of the bathroom. Second room had hair, stain on the sheets and and awful cigarette smell. Finally the third room was "okay" but when removing the sheet at the end of the bed there was another STAIN and not to mention MOLD on the picture frame on the wall. Mold on the ceiling. The hot water would not get hot. We had it running for 5 minutes on both the sink and shower until it even became luke warm. We have a baby and had no other choice but to stay since our money is non-refundable. Never EVER would i recommend anyone to stay here. So disgusting. Also, the carpeting clearly never gets washed or cleaned. My sons and feet were completely black with dirt after a few hours

We're laying in this dump trying to find a channel on the tiny tv that has no remote to go with it. I'm nauseous from the smell of chlorine from the pool. This place is absolute trash and we will never ever ever stay here again and absolutely do not recommend it!! We paid $200 for this crap hole that looks NOTHING like the pictures! DON'T DO IT!

Nice location. Reasonable price. Close to shopping and restaurants. Free breakfast is fine, hot food was kept hot. Coffee was good. Facility could use updating, such as decor, lighting and carpeting. We stayed in a king suite with a jacuzzi tub. The jacuzzi was clean and functional, so that was a plus. However, there was no room separation. From the bed you can see the tub and toilet. The only separation was a thin shower curtain. It was very odd.

Great king bed room with large I think 39" TV

I have stayed at other brand hotels in this area and this one is better than many. Price little high like fifteen bucks more. Clean and have The lounge- bar with snacks. Has indoor pool and easy on off from Interstate 80, near crossroads mall. Room had small refrigerator and strange sofa cum bed ? In my room 122. Must work on TV reception something is not kosher

I booked this place for a local soccer tournament, this was the closet available hotel I could get. The pictures on the website are very deceiving! My family checked in, there were two very nice women at the front desk but it took a LONG time to check in. We eventually got our room keys and went up to our " room". The key cards didn't work, ok that happens so I went back down and told the ladies at the front desk. I received new key cards and went back upstairs and the new key cards opened the room. The room was occupied by another family already, my family went back down stairs again and told these ladies about our experience so far. The ladies didn't react like this was a problem, what if my family walked into the room and my child saw something he shouldn't of. The front desk gave us a new room and we went to our new room, the hallway smelled like raw sewage. My family couldn't deal with the smell so we went to our soccer game three hours early just so we didn't have to deal with the terrible smell. We arrived back at the hotel late (around 8:45ish). The boys wanted to go on the pool before laying down, we had to sign out pool towels. We entered the pool area and older kids had the lifeguard ring and was floating on it and the other kids were using the rope as a lasso. I was afraid these kids were going to hurt someone, I went to the desk and the two men that were there said they would take care of it. Fifteen minutes later I removed the ring from the pool because I didn't want to be hit. We went to our room finally and the smell was mild compared to earlier, but our pillows had blood stains; long hairs and other stains on them. I went to the front desk and spoke to John, I explained my whole experience with this hotel. ( there was another family down there unsatisfied With there stay too) John was very sarcastic. I was told there was no manager on duty and Jill the manager would be back tomorrow. I told John I was going to call Wyndham and write and review. His response was " you do what you need to do". John was very rude and tried to belittle me. I walked away because I was getting mad and things would of escalated If I didn't keep a cool head $200 a night , I felt like I was robbed.

The first room they put us in reeked of cat pee, our dog was going nuts smelling everywhere. They put us in a second room, assumably a non pet room because the beds were a little nicer and was set up with different stuff. Only problem so far with this room is the bathroom door gets stuck on the toilet so you've got to maneuver yourself against the sink to close the door

I just left a resort in this community where I wasn't treated as spectacularly as I was here. I've had a five star experience here from start to finish.

We booked our recent trip through Expedia, which is something we've done before and never had any issues. The front desk worker had great difficulty checking us in and needed 2 others to help her complete it. We had pre-paid for our room and she tried to charge us again for the room and only stopped when I questioned the charges. It was also very difficult to get our room serviced; housekeeping occurs every other day, which is no big deal except when they never came on our designated day (we were out of our room by 10). We spoke to the front desk clerk who put us on the list for the following day, so we thought things were resolved. However, one of the housekeepers repeatedly banged on our door ~8 AM the next morning and would not stop until we came to the door. This was done to ask what time we wanted service, which is something that's never happened in all of the years that we've been staying in hotels. The room was clean overall and the shower pressure was good, but the poor service overall made for a poor experience and we won't be coming back again.

This Hampton Inn was hands down the best. We stayed here while enjoying a weekend in the Poconos mountains. I'm a gold member and chose my room ahead of time and the room was ready promptly. The hotel pool is heated so it was nice to enjoy and get away from the cold. There is a beautiful view of the outside from the pool with an outdoor area for enjoyment during warmer temperatures. The gym was better than I had expected for a hotel gym. There are amble free weights, treadmills, bikes and ellipticals. I was also surprised that there was a peloton. The only thing that I didn't like was the tv signal kept turning off, but I had brought my laptop so I enjoyed watching a movie on there instead. The breakfast was what your would normally expect from a Hampton inn. There were eggs, potatoes, cereal and a waffle station. I would definitely stay here when in the Poconos again!

The toilet was not cleaned, there was a dead bug on the floor, and the bathtub was so dirty that we wouldn't even consider taking a shower in it. The bed skirt was ripped, and the condition of the hallways was also poor with mold throughout. When I brought these issues to the front desk, the housekeeping manager happened to be there. After I told her our room number, she said, "Oh, that room should've never been rented. It hasn't been rented in a long time, so it needed to be cleaned." Clearly, it was not cleaned at all before we were checked into it. For a hotel brand that usually maintains high standards, this was unacceptable. I hope management takes immediate steps to refund my money and ensure rooms are properly inspected and cleaned before being assigned to guests. I would give 0 stars if app allowed it.

This is a motel and don't mistake that. Our room was probably last overhauled in the late 80's/early 90's minus the appliances. The hotel cable had a good selection of channels, bed was reasonably comfortable, and the room was equipped with both a mini-fridge and microwave. This is where the good points end. Rooms still use real keys and that is something I've never seen. Two of the lights in the room had loose connections at first and the heating/cooling unit took a long time to start. On our last night the smoke detector started beeping due to a suspected dead battery. The bathroom was less then acceptable and was stained. Door hinges were rusty and the door did not fully close at the top or bottom. Tub appeared to be regrouted/refinished several times and a layer of dirt washed off when the shower was first started. Dead Mosquito on the ceiling finished the experience. This would not be my first, second, or third choice for places to stay, but the event I was attending paid for the room. Much of the furniture was very worn down, and none of the fixtures or housewares matched. From the lamps, dried flower arrangements, to the kitchen ware, to the chairs & couches, it all appeared to have either been a mish-mosh purchase from a thrift shop, or had seen better days. In the lower guest room, there was a closet filled with lamps (broken? Old? Who knows) and blankets. Going up the stairs, our feet were greeted with nails/screws that were not adequately secured in to the floor. Window shades were falling apart, as was the cupboards. Paint was two-tone... paint or peeled. We tried to make the best of it, as we were amongst friends on a weekender. Then after a day of skiing, we returned to discover there was no running water. This would have been less problematic if we were college kids roughing it, but we had a number of young children with us that constantly needed hand washing, etc. Plus the fact that we're still amidst covid times, but let's be real, having a place to wash up was a basic necessity. The management company sent some young gentlemen who jimmied the basement door open with a butter knife, and attempted to resolve the problem, but they couldn't fix it. We were left with no running water & 4 families for the 2nd half our stay. We resorted to melting & boiling snow from outside the house to try to intermittently flush the toilet and rinse hands. We subsequently made a grocery run to get gallons of water. Anyone needing to hit the porcelain throne for an extended seating had to be driven into town to hit up a store or restaurant. Having a run-down property is one thing, not having running water is a whole level of unacceptable. While I was not the one coordinating our stay, from what I heard the management company offered a credit towards a future stay if we decided to leave early, OR they "would work something out" if we stayed longer. Some members of our party drove 4-5 hrs to get to the house, and leaving in the late afternoon would mean driving in the snow or icy roads late at night, which we all agreed was not safe, so we roughed it until there was sunlight. I heard the subsequent outcome ultimately was a few hundred bucks refund out of the thousands we spent for a weekend stay there. TL;DR: I wish I'd known running water wasn't a guarantee at this stay. Photos speak for themselves. 1.5 star for the TV/ streaming access, pool table, and hot tub.
