Worst experience ever. Bugs crawling in the room. Shower would not drain. Standing in water upto your ankles while showering. I told the front desk about the bugs she said unfortunately we can't do anything about the bugs they are everywhere. Wtf read more

This is an atypical Baymont Inn, oh, it has all the usual features and amenities including breakfast. My room was a touch on the small side but comfortable, with a king bed, a desk, and a side chair. The thing I like about this property is the manager's hospitality reception on weeknight afternoon/evenings. The reception includes cookies and beverages, and sometimes there's a cookout. It's a nice feature in a comfortable, affordable, hotel. The property is located just off US 20, the bypass that goes around the north side of Freeport. The location is a couple of miles north of Pretzel City, you'll find a variety of restaurants in town - including the Union Dairy - which is well worth a visit to Freeport itself. This is my hotel of choice when I find myself in Freeport. read more

I booked the room to stay for one night . When I got there to check in ...which they did let me check in early , I was happy about that . I work nights and needed the rest . I was planning on visiting with my Mom in her nursing home the next day after being fully rested . Well, I paid for the room and then I was given some helpful advice about the stay. But then she says the pool isn't working ! I said I don't want to stay then ! This should have been told upfront ! My bank had already been charged ! When asked about being refunded...She told me to "wait it out it was in "computerland" now " . So, I left very unhappy ! I needed to pay another hotel to stay with them ! So, didn't appreciate this experience and it left me wondering if that's why they said I could check in early . read more

The room was fine. The bed was comfortable. Be careful if you book on line through a service that pre-pays the room. The hotel still runs your card for the full amount when you check in, and has a hold on it for 3-5 business days, and the clock starts AFTER you check out, so if there is any issue with the hold not properly releasing, you've moved on and have a major hassle trying to straighten it out long distance. Sure hope that doesn't happen, but not feeling all that sure that it won't. They claim they have to do this because of people damaging rooms and such, and that they can't do anything about it. This can really trash your trip budget if you need that money in the meantime, but it's all about protecting them, and nobody protects you. read more

We stayed there for a night and wanted to stay at another hotel but It was full. Anyways we got the suite which had a jacuzzi and overlooked the pool with a deck out in to the pool area, which was kinda cool concept. Except it was loud, and the pool didn't close until 11pm which was fine but spending $170 on a room and listening to the people in the pool all night then in the morning was a bit much. Most likely wouldn't stay again. The staff was very nice so that made it better. read more

My boyfriend and I booked the executive suite (the best suite you can get there). The room was HUGE and that was a plus! The cons were that the tv was so small, the microwave was so old (had a dual timer), and you can hear the people in the pool so clearly and loud. Speaking of the pool, the pool was so warm. It felt uncomfortable. So we went to the hot tub. The hot tub had a lot of dead bugs in it. Not well maintained. We did not try the breakfast the next morning. read more

The facility was clean and well managed. The staff was polite and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. In room fridge and micro wave a plus. The room passed the Jack Reacher test. Good coffee good shower. The carbohydrate loaded breakfast left a little to be desired but the coffee was real good. My only real complaint is the lack of noise abatement. I woke up several times thinking the guests upstairs were going to join us in a shower of plaster. Any time an exterior door shut it echoed throughout the facility. Kids running the halls is a given in a property with a pool. I mentioned the noise to the manager and she immediately got defensive saying it was on me to report the noise. No customer service skills in play. Not the best but far from the worst. Stay frosty. Check in was hectic as the woman at the front desk got very confused when one of my guests tried to check in early and we asked if they had a room available. She said we have your reservation for Friday and Saturday. She couldn't grasp the concept that we just needed a room not one at the wedding rate just a plain room. After 20 minutes she got it figured out when another employee came in to help. Once all our guests arrived we all got our rooms for the night and they were very nice rooms. Nothing fancy but just right. The cleaning staff was very nice ESPECIALLY Chris. She went above and beyond for one of my guests and left a lasting impression. When we came back after getting married to check into our honeymoon suite we were told it had been given to my father-in-law. We finally got that straightened out and got in our room (202). It was very nice. It had a balcony over looking the pool area inside. It also had a big jacuzzi tub and robes to use. Overall the hotel was nice. The breakfast was okay, pool area was nice and so was the outdoor seating area. Our family always stays in this hotel when traveling to Pearl City or Lena. It has a good location, right off the highway. read more

This hotel was great. I spent two nights with them. The rooms are very clean & comfy, the free breakfast was above and beyond!!! They had biscuits and gravy! The pool was very nice and they have a gorgeous patio. If I return to Freeport I will stay with them again their employees are also very nice!! read more

So my family & I came to Freeport to visit Family for Thanksgiving. My kids were sleeping at my Mother-in-Laws so we decided to rent a room. So the kids could go Swimming since it's freezing outside and the park is out of the Question. When we go to check in. The woman at the front desk, informs us that only the people staying at hotel can swim. Now I've stayed at countless hotels/motels, from Lincoln, Il to Orlando, Fl to Vegas and have had family come and swim for acouple hours. No Problem. So basically my daughter's were heartbroken because I wasnt going to pay extra for another bed that they weren't going to Sleep in. So, we check in. Get settled into our room. I call the front desk and ask for 2 more pillows and 4 more large towels. The woman, quite rudely, said, she couldn't give me any pillows but if I wanted towels, I would have to come to the front desk. WtF!!?? Never ever in my life have I ever had to go down to the front desk to get anything. Housekeeping ALWAYS brought it to my room. Abd to not have any pillows? Crazy! So then I was like whatever, we wanted to go down to the hot tub so we'd just get the towels then. Which by the way, when u walk into the hotel, the pool is right there so the people checking in can see the pool. Which sucks. I like the pool away from the front. I don't want people watching us swim. Ya know? So we get into the hot tub and like 1 minute after we got in, we noticed the water smelled like dirty sink water. Disgusting!!! My skin smelled horrible. We were boiling in some dirty ass water. We got out immediately. Went to the front desk, got our towels and told the rude lady that the hot tub was nasty. She says she just filled it??? I guess she forgot to clean it before she filled it. Ugh! Very disappointing! I will NEVER come back here. We are actually here right now. I seriously hope their continental breakfast is AMAZING or I'm gonna have to continue this review.... read more

I did not get to stay at this hotel. However, I did book this hotel for a GROUP event for a bowling tournament. I called to cancel and the whole group canceled to stay at another hotel. I was charged a no show fee and I called every day after the charge and I kept getting the majority of the time a Shelby that would not help me at all. First she would tell me I need to talk to the head manager she was only the assistant manager. Then she told me the other manager would be in the next day between 7 and 3. I call supposedly not there. When I call it was like I was bothering her and she would talk to me like Im stupid. Then all of sudden the head manager comes and goes as pleases but she would get someone to return my phone call. NEVER got anything. The reservation name was under scardamaglia. She kept telling me also that they don't do that but they do only confirmation numbers. Now when I Booked from the beginning they accepted it. So I know that's bs.The bowling alley group was from a Glen Allen and I even gave them names under the reservations like Tim Lewis. I still got no where. I got charged $$ for not staying there and for the lack of professionalism of someone not doing there part of the job and canceling it when it was canceled at least a month in advance. read more
