There was water seeping from the toilet base. The bathtub and shower area was heavily stained. The couch in the room was uncomfortable. The bed was surprisingly soft and I got good rest and the air-conditioning worked well. The room's lighting was adequate. The door did fail to open when I used the key card twice. I will say that it looks like the property is under construction and I believe that the building is being updated. The breakfast was all right, but was nothing special. Check-in was very easy. One of the elevators is not working. I will say you get what you pay for and I was here for two days and the price was extremely reasonable.

1 Star -- Overpriced, Dirty, and Disappointing For the…read morenightly rate they charge, the condition of this room is completely unacceptable. The mini fridge had dried food/debris caked on the door. The bathroom showed mold along the door hinges and frames, grime buildup throughout the tub surround, a dirty water stain ring in the tub, and peeling/bubbling paint on the walls. The shower curtain rod area had mold at the base, and the overall cleanliness was far below any reasonable standard. The "continental breakfast" was equally disappointing -- two options: a waffle and cereal. That's it. For the price point they're advertising, guests deserve far better. This property needs a serious deep clean, maintenance walk-through, and an honest look at what they're charging versus what they're delivering. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

They don't keep the street out front clean now and there was litter. I've been having a hard time writing this review. I have really mixed feelings about my experience…read moreat The Lily Inn. I'll start with the pros: The Inn itself was beautiful and charming. It's 3 floors, with a sitting room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. A hangout room on the 2nd floor and bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There was an issue with the room we originally booked, and Candace upgraded our room for us.l before we even arrived. Our new room was great. It had two parts to it, a king-size bed, futon, and a beautiful bathroom. Candace and the Inn were also accommodating , as we booked on a third party site not realizing kids under 8 were not allowed and they allowed us to bring our 1 year old (he loved the place, too, btw). The bed portion of our bed and breakfast experience was wonderful. The con would have to be the breakfast part. So, first, we should have read their website before booking, as it does state that they serve continental breakfast during the week, and we stayed on a Monday night. As disappointed as we were, that's on us. However, what we were served wasn't even that, in my opinion. There were muffins, some grab and go granola bars, oatmeal packets, and some fruit (apples and tangerines). We were pretty disappointed in the spread. The breakfast options also stayed out all day and also played the roll of the snacks they offered. So when we arrived, the blueberry muffins and granola bars were out in the kitchen to take. We were offered the same thing for breakfast the next morning. Another reviewer stated that this felt more like an AirBnB, and I agree. I think one of the special aspects of a bed and breakfast is not only the charming atmosphere (check, they got that right) but receiving a nice breakfast in the morning. I get weekdays can be slow, so I can forgive a continental breakfast, but there should at least be some yogurt or toast or bagels or something. So, we will settle on 3 stars. The bed portion was a 4/5 star experience, but the breakfast was a 1.

I went and checked it out, kicking under the beds, punching around behind doors. The beds were super wrinkled, as was my mom's, and the room looked like it had been used. When we went back downstairs to talk to the front desk. There were no more rooms avai. Asked for fresh sheets. They had one set of fresh sheets, and zero access to cleaning supplies or additional linens. So I ended up sleeping on a top sheet and 3 towels. Luckily, I was a girl scout. it didn't help that the room was dilapidated and everything looked dingy. I cleaned the entire room front door all the way through. Just to feel comfortable enough to sleep for a few hours in this horrible place. Pair it up with dirty carpets, a broken shower rod, and a dilapidated shower. Between the light with a short outside of my window blinking incessantly the entire night, noise from the hallway, and the light from under the door I only got 2 and a 1/2 hours of sleep. In addition to all this, someone must have been smoking in an adjacent room because my allergies were flaring so badly from the smoke seeping in. I ended up ill the next 2 days. The only silver lining was the really friendly guy who checked us in late in the evening. Other than a single friendly employee, you need to revamp this hotel.

To my horror, I watched the maid use the same rag to wipe down the toilet, then immediately use it to clean the sink--without changing it. I was stunned and stopped her, asking if I had really just seen her clean the toilet with that rag. She looked confused and said I don't understand. My sister came in to help clarify, and the maid then apologized, saying she would clean it again. The maids also clean your tub and floors with your dirty towels. When I spoke to the front desk, she said maybe the maid forgot and assured me she would speak to management. I then told her that this makes me think this goes on daily at this hotel. This was an upsetting experience. Everyone, please be careful! SMH.

I'm assuming there are no other rooms where this could have taken place, but strange nonetheless. Then, the front desk was MIA--after waiting several minutes, two ladies walk up and basically blow me off. My first thought for a description: absent and apathetic. Next, I got into the smelly & defective elevator. I wondered if I accidentally hit a button the first time it called for Help. But then when it did this on my ride back to the lobby, I realized it wasn't me. This venture back downstairs was to ask about the "Sky Lounge" listed on the app as an on-property dining option with light bites. I was hoping to find libations, as I was trying to escape the persistent vacuuming right outside my door past 7PM. I encountered a pushy & sarcastic bartender at a bar in the corner of the lobby who said the "Sky Lounge" didn't exist. I ordered a vodka & soda from her to take back to my room since the lobby was still rowdy (a few hours later)--no soda could be detected so one can assume it was flat--just like this hotel stay.

Basic but comfy amenities, great for work travelers…read more This hotel is somewhat generic when we talk about hotels. Rooms have minor signs of wear, water pressure isn't awesome in every room, pantry is very small and is effectively a vending machines worth of goods, and breakfast is some type of eggs and a mix of mostly shelf stable breakfast items. However, the beds, linens, and pillows are reasonably comfy, even for bigger people. The rooms have just enough for cleaning up after a rough day, and the room noise is usually very minor. There's also a dunkin within walking distance if you want a quick coffee. The common areas are very clean, and there's lots of light in the halls and elevators. They also do some minor holiday deco in the main hall, which is a nice touch. Pricing is high if you're trying to entertain a group of kids. The casual traveler won't find much here to be entertained by. But it's a great place for the traveling worker to bed down for the night.

I've been reviewing this Hampton Inn for years, and this is my fourth and probably last stay…read more Greeted with a broken #2 elevator which was not fixed during my 3 night stay. I once got on the elevator to go to the third floor, another person was there going to the fourth floor, the doors closed, the elevator paused at the third floor, then proceeded to the fourth. I had to re-press my floor, then it worked. No more free lemon water outside the elevators. Lack of cleaning routines in the common areas as crumbs were all over the floor and splash marks on the elevator doors. Provided in the rooms were enough towels for three showers. Needless to say we were out of towels after the first morning. I had asked the front desk if they can kindly replace the towels and empty the trash in our room when we left for the day. Upon returning late at night, nothing had been done to the room. Approached the desk the next morning and they were very apologetic and said they would bring towels and empty the trash at my request. I did not want to disturb my partner, but I did call down later that morning and they did come right up. I have a beef with the hotel industry in hole because of their lack of maid service, this just puts an exclamation point at the end of it. The front desk, though friendly there seems to be a communication breakdown between the front desk staff, and the maintenance staff. Pleasant demeanor and assurances at the front desk were negated by the lack of action by the maintenance staff. I needed to iron my shirt for the day and I got the ironing board out and proceeded to unfold it. It was broken. I wound up putting the ironing board on the bed and iron there. We approached the front desk and we were inquiring about cutting our stay short. We asked that our room be made up. We proceeded with our day and came back a few hours later. Our room was not cleaned. We found that the maid was still cleaning other rooms, and asked if our room was on the list to be cleaned. It was not. A maid supervisor knocked on the door and asked if we needed our room cleaned. We said yes. Had we not been there it would not have been done. Our room was painted with incorrect paint color. You could clearly see that they edged with one color and painted with another. You can see exactly where they stopped painting. Taking a shower is an adventure, as the temperature set at the beginning of the shower changes drastically to very cold, prompting immediate temperature adjustments. This happened all the times I showered. Our room also had a slight musty odor that appeared when the air conditioning was not running. One of my pillows also had a slight musty smell. On the positive side, the breakfast in the mornings were above board. Plenty of options to whatever you may like. The only thing lacking was fresh fruit.
