Stained or dirty rug in room
Kelly K.

Convenient location off of 295. Wegmans and Target across the road. Generally quiet although hear the roar of 295 in the background. The exterior of the hotel looks good and the parking lots in good shape Check-in was good. First thing I noticed, though is when I got up to the fourth floor that the rug in the hallway was stained when I entered my room, I found that the rug was also stained or just needed a rug cleaning. See photo. Some small stains on the couch. The rest of the room was in good shape except for the pillows being pretty crappy quality. The lightning could be better in the room. It was pretty dark. The shower floor had definitely not been cleaned...there was even hair. AC worked however it made a noise. It shouldn't be making which was annoying so I generally did not run it much. Breakfast was below average and disappointing. Housekeeping had a unusual way of dealing with the linens that I've never seen in a hotel. They removed all the dirty linens on one side of the hall and left them in front of the room. The hallway looked awful going back-and-forth to the room. Photo attached.

Welcoming staff at this hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious and updated. Nice breakfast, which is complimentary with your stay. Also, feel like a cocktail after a long day, they have a bar too!

Very nice. Very clean. Much nicer than the Hilton Garden where we've stayed the last seven years when visiting at Christmas.

When circumstances meant we couldn't sleep at home, this place was conveniently located,…read moreinexpensive, and had free parking. Pets stay free, so that was a bonus. Wifi was good for working remotely. Staff were nice. Room was clean. It's not a destination, but it fit my needs well.

I really really hate Aloft hotels. I seriously hope whatever "super hip and edgy" designer they…read morehired has been fired for ruining an entire chain of hotels. Aloft one of Marriott's "modern" hotel lines (along with AC which is good). I've been at 3 Alofts because I like punishment apparently. So, what's wrong with Aloft? Look at the pictures. One is of the "closet". It's not a real closet. It can only hang 5 items because of the configuration. It has a shower curtain as a "door". And notice. NO DRAWERS. In fact, there are no drawers in the entire room. None. Everything is in the open. What modern person has essentially a non functioning closet and no drawers for anything? No one. That's who. Next is the edgy bathroom. This hotel is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. Why you say? Look at the bedroom pic. That's a frosted window INTO THE SHOWER. See the shower pic to see the frosted window. How edgy that must be for a couple. Sure you can't see anything but you can see shadows. So do you want your kids trying to see if they can see mom in the shower? No of course you don't. Also, the shower section is barely lit so hopefully you can shower with your eyes closed in the dark. Finally, the materials are cheap and not well maintained. Everything is laminate fake wood and it's all peeling. And that's not just this one. It's been all 3. Plus plenty of other fit and finish stuff like the giant scuff on the wallpaper from the desk chair. Or the almost broken door lock. Oh and outlet placement is pretty terrible too at the desk. Now the good news is this hotel is next to a Millers. The wxyz bar is pretty good. And inside is a "high end" steak restaurant (not run by Marriott) which has a fantastic bar and terrible overpriced food (ok so that's not good news). I didn't interact with any staff so I don't know if they were amazing or not. Honestly, there are 20+ hotels in a 2 mile radius. Stay somewhere else. If you're Marriott, the Courtyard across the street is pretty good especially for the price. And if a manager reads this, don't reply back. Your best course of action is to find a better hotel to manage.

Excellent. That…read morecould pretty much sum up the review for this hall. I've passed this place several times and I've never really noticed how large the building actually is. Inside is a very modern nicely decorated hall. It's also very clean. The staff were wonderful, they kept the food hot, the bar tender was all smiles and very upbeat, and I never noticed a speck of unattended empty dishes/cups. As the wait staff promptly cleared our plates, they kept the buffet food line hot and neat, the cakes were to die for! I mean they should be on one of those reality television shows about cake battles! I'm certain the organizer of this party I attended will have more parties here. This place is in a great location with a private lot. We had over 100 people and the bathrooms stayed fully stocked/clean. This staff was so excellent that when the party was over and the lights were turned back on, the place was already sparking clean. (we weren't a messy group but you'd think we all just arrived!) Some food for thought, we did bring our own soda and we hired a DJ (http://www.supremeproductionz.com/) who setup the lighting and speaker system. We rented the hall from 7 to 12 so you are able to have late parties here. This would also be a great option for weddings, baby showers, corporate seminars, reunions, meetings, holiday parties, the list is endless. These people truly know how to work a space. Who knew this nice little place was nestled in the little town of Maple Shade. (This place is literally 5 minutes from the Betsey Ross bridge.)
