Visited once in 2020 and will not be returning. This visit for a general physical consisted of a 45 minute wait (before I walked out) in a disgusting and dingy patient room. The remainder of the office is the same. Why are there signs from 2008 on the walls? Please practice sanitary practices and maybe buy a bucket of paint once a decade. The office staff was nice enough, but I would not describe them as friendly, warm or courteous. The person who took my vitals was a student and did a good job, except instead of the robe to change into, left me two sheets. Patient questionnaire was absolutely from 1985- why isn't this up to date? Overall, this felt like a third-world pain pill clinic and would certainly advocate for anyone to read more

They have the absolute WORST service. Why is it that every time I schedule an appointment, I don't even get sent to voicemail? It just sounds like someone picking up the phone and hanging it up immediately. It's already bad enough I have to wait until Tuesday to schedule an appointment, but when the time comes, I can't even make my visit happen. read more

I like going to Dr.Bayon for things like my bad back, a flu shot etc.....He always refers me to the right people and I have felt good about him listening to me and taking whatever problem I have seriously. The things I'm not very happy with are the front desk staff. I have been put on hold for 30 minute stints where I have called twice and had to hang up because I had to be somewhere. I recently drove from Vallejo to Berkeley on hold and finally had to hang up. I called in today and was put on hold for 7 minutes, when the girl picked up I explained to her that I had called in yesterday and had been put on hold for 30 minutes with no one ever picking up and she said "ok" like she didn't want to hear it. A simple I'm sorry you had to wait so long, we have been extremely busy and short staffed would have been nice. They'v just always seemed like they're just so put out to help you. I think they're better suited for being cashiers at 7-11. I have also had to wait 45 minutes to be seen, all the while hearing about the patient in the next rooms testicular growth through the paper thin walls. If this place could just some professionals at the front desk, and manage time more wisely I would give it 5 stars, like I said I really like Dr.Bayon, it's just some things about the way the place is run that needs improving. read more

First, this one star is for the new medical assistant - the petite thin one that backfilled Lynn. I've been a patient of Dr. Bayon since 2007 and I've always enjoyed his staff, and his warm personality but after his #1 Superstar Medical Assistant, Lynn, left in Dec 2016 (more $$$ elsewhere) his new MA/office staff has become a disfunctional and least caring group of new graduates and if they claim to be experienced, they act like new graduates because they don't know how to accommodate patients, especially long-term patients, and they don't know what they're doing. I was given a referral for physical therapy following a car accident and the referral she gave me does not accept my insurance. I'm to the point where I now dread having to call Dr. Bayon's office because I can't get in when I need to see him. A couple of months ago I broke my ankle, went to the ER, and needed to see Bayon to get a referral and was told to call back next morning for same-day appt. I called back next morning (Friday) and was told they had no openings and to call back Monday. When I finally got in, there was a patient in the waiting room and he went up to the front desk, upset, and said he'd been waiting for an hour for his prescription and asked how much longer must he wait.... this would scare any new patient. I just sprained my wrist thinking it was broke, called Bayon's office to see him and again, no openings and to call back next morning. I went to the ER instead because I couldn't tolerate the pain any longer. A week and half later I called Bayon's office because I may have damaged ligaments in my wrist and again I was told to call back the next morning at 8:30 to schedule an appt and she went on to explain the "openings" they have are for "sick" people. I told the new MA to schedule me for the next business day (Monday) and nope, she said call back at 8:30! Sorry Dr. Bayon but through no fault of your own, unless you hired her, I'm now looking at changing doctors. You're a good doc, you've always treated me very well but your office is no where close to how it was managed when Lynn was there and I sometimes wonder if you really know how the new MA is treating patients on the phone .... snippy, and unwilling to accommodate same day requests. The "call back at 8:30" doesn't always work when I'm at work 35-miles away. And is your new MA in a position to make decisions on which patients can and can't be immediately seen? read more

Dr Bayon has been my Primary Care MD for a number of years, in addition to Kaiser. Dr. Bayon has made several diagnoses for me that Kaiser has missed. He has been very good to me- through, communicates well, follows up. I trust him completely to do the right thing by me. First time I went to see him he sent me for lab work, so I went back to get the results so he read lab results to me, told me I was diabetic and had high cholesterol then when i questioned it, he said..."oh, what's your name? These aren't your results". So I gave him one more chance and he did it again! Read me wrong results again. I will never go back there and wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Dr. Bayon is a great doctor and his nurse is also great. The other staff is awful. You call the office and either the phone rings and rings or someone picks, says hold and then you are on hold forever. If the phone goes to voice mail, the message tells you not to leave a message, but to try again later. WTH??? Totally unacceptable. read more

It wouldn't be a stretch to say Dr. Bayon probably saved my life or at least saved me many years of pain and suffering During a recent annual exam, Dr. Bayon went outside the recommended guidelines and ordered a PSA blood test. Medicare and other insurance carriers don't recommend this test on routine exams and don't cover the cost. He went outside guidelines again when the results were slightly above normal and referred me to a urologist. I have prostate cancer! Thanks solely to Dr. Bayon,it was detected early enough,that the success rate is very high. Dr. Bayon puts his patients health care above the politics of the insurance companies and does what needs to be done. And guys, get a PSA test . Mine cost me $20. out of pocket. I've been going to Dr. Bayon for many years and was happy with him. Until yesterday when I called to get a needed a refill prescription for high blood pressure medication that I've been taking for years. This has never been an issue in the past. This time I got a call back from his office saying my request was " denied" because I hadn't done a routine blood test earlier this year - that had zero to do with my blood pressure. So my doctor won't allow me bp medication because I didn't do a yearly routine blood screening? I thought the first rule of being a doctor was do no harm? Or was it control your patient and deny them meds if they don't comply? It's not like I'm trying to get narcotics it's for high blood pressure! Now not only do I have no medication but also need to find a new doctor. I'm so disappointed and frankly hurt by this. Clearly not a doctor who gives a damn about his patients health and well- being. read more

I'm surprised at some of the poor reviews for Dr. Bayon. We have found him to be approachable, provide thorough diagnosis, and explain care options. Getting immediate appointments can be challenging because he may have a solid patient-load for that day, and the practice doesn't seem overly-accommodating for 'squeeze-ins'. None the less, front desk staff is friendly but they do field calls for several physicians. I've had some hold time when calling, but nothing I have found bothersome. The practice could use an extra hand up there I suppose - but that's a practice decision. read more

After having Kaiser for some time I found myself in search of a new primary care physician that accepted United Healthcare. I was running into a lot of problems because it seems that no one was accepting new patients. A friend suggested trying the medical office in the Glen Cove Marina. I was pleased to find out that Dr Bayon's office was accepting new patients and they booked me an appointment about a week and a half out. After booking the appointment I popped on Yelp to read the reviews and I got very concerned because the reviews of this doctor we're not very good. My appointment was on April 1st and I began to worry but that was going to be a big joke on me! As a matter of fact I even considered cancelling my appointment due to the negative things written. I'm very glad that I didn't because I actually had a very good experience. My appointment was for 3:30 and they suggested that I arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I arrived at 3:15 was greeted very warmly by the front desk person. I was given the normal paperwork you fill out when starting with any new doctor, which didn't take but a few minutes. As I mentioned before my appointment was scheduled for 3:30 I had brought things to keep me entertained because I had read about the hours and hours of waiting. To my surprise I was called in about 3:40. I feel bad that I didn't pay attention to people's names the young blonde girl you got me settled into a room was also very friendly and professional. I waited about another 3 or 4 minutes and then and then Dr Bayon came into the room. Others have mentioned being put off by the fact that he uses a laptop to record your medical history as he speaking with you. I have had some ongoing health issues for many years and have seen some of the most world-renowned specialist , I am very used to this approach and I don't find it inpersonal or rude I have found it to be very proficient. Dr. address all my concerns and I felt he spent a good amount of time with me, at no point did I feel rushed at all. He provided me with a free sample of medication to try over the weekend and asked me to contact him first thing Monday and let him know if it worked or not for my problem, and we would proceed from there depending on the outcome. He inquired as to when my appointment was with my endocrinologist and wanted to coordinate my follow-up appointment after that. Once my visit with him was over I was directed to speak with a young lady named Nicole who verified she had of my correct medications and dosages and pharmacy preferences. She also provided me with a code to use to schedule future appointments via the internet for convenience. She was extremely professional and even more friendly! One thing that could not be missed during my visit was the fact that the phones never seem to stop ringing. I know there have been comments about having difficulty getting through, linf hold times, and unhelpful people. It is apparent that this office is extremely busy. I paid attention closely to the tone being used while they were speaking to people who phoned in and I found it to always be very professional and friendly. It saddens me that the reviews on here are so poor for Dr Bayon and his staff. I would definitely recommend this office to my family and friends without hesitation. read more

Dr. Bayon has been my physician for many years. He's always polite and attentive, and his staff is excellent. He doesn't hesitate to order tests or to send me to whatever specialist I request or he thinks I need . Over the years he's caught two illnesses early, pre-diabetes and high blood-pressure. Thanks to his diligence I was able to return my blood sugar to normal. My high blood-pressure is under control. I recently moved about 30 miles away from Vallejo, but I intend to keep him as my doctor because I trust him. read more

I've been to Dr. Bayon a few times. I found him condescending and dismissive. I had a list so I wouldn't forget anything since I had a lapse in insurance and hadn't been to the doctor in over a year and apparently this bothered him. I have a family history of heart attacks in 40's and 50's and he rolled his eyes (it's a quick roll, he tries to repress) and said my heart was fine. I've had back pain for 30 years and asked to see a specialist so I could determine the root cause since the pain was increasing in frequency and duration. He asked questions and told me what I DIDN'T have (based on his questions, not an examination or diagnostic history or asking if I'd been to a Chiropractor or another doctor or when or how long), told me about construction workers who USE their back and how he treats their pain. So.. since I'm NOT a construction worker I don't have pain? He then offered to give me a referral to get an x-ray - in a manner I felt was simply to pacify me- and told me to take ibuprofen. The first time I went to see Dr. Bayon, over a month and a half ago, I had been having really weird symptoms that were worrying me - dizzyness, a weird rash on my shoulders, shortness of breath, among other things. It was not a pleasant appointment. It was almost like me being there was irritating to him, and he treated me as such. He did a bare minimum exam, didn't seem to hear what I was saying, and I had to repeat myself several times. At the end of it, he threw an inhaler at me and sent me for some labwork, and I never heard anything from him again about it. I was really upset after the appointment, because he never once talked about what he thought might be wrong, and even though I asked questions, I still didn't have a clue as to what he was thinking. And yes, that stupid laptop was way more interesting to him than I, the patient, was! Anyway, everybody has bad days, so I was willing to give him one more chance. My symptoms went away on their own, so even though I don't know why I was having them in the first place, at least I'm not having them anymore. I came down with a really bad sore throat 3 days ago that was steadily getting worse, to the point where I could hardly drink water even, so I gave in and got an appointment for today. I saw Dr. Bayon once again, and he was certainly no better. I was his second appointment after lunch, and when I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time, he hadn't even returned to the office yet. My appointment was at 2:15, and he didn't even start with the appointment before mine until 2:40! I'm sorry, but you have GOT to have more respect for people's time than that. Be warned - the walls there are paper-thin, and I could hear most of what he and the appointment in the room next to mine were talking about. I could also hear him taking his time and being kind and open to questions and explaining everything that he was thinking. I thought "Great! He must be doing better today than the last time I saw him." Wrong. He flew in to the room with his laptop, spent a couple minutes setting it up, looked at my throat briefly and took a quick culture, starts tapping that stupid stylus across the laptop screen happily, then next thing I know he's saying "Alright, I just sent your prescriptions to Rite Aid for you!" without ANY explanation of what he was prescribing or why. He leaves the room quickly, telling me as he's walking out that the nurse will call me with the results of the culture, and he's halfway down the hall when I can finally get a word in to ask what the prescriptions are for. He rattles off the names of the medicine he's prescribing, like I'm supposed to know what they are, and has gone into another room before I can say anything else. I have no problem asking questions, but he doesn't seem to allow it. And I still don't know what I have! I get to Rite Aid, and he's prescribed Nasal Spray and an Antibiotic. Just wish I knew what he was treating me for! After I had calmed down a bit, I called the office. I really haven't had any problem with anyone else there. They don't drop everything to take care of me, but I don't mind. I show up and they get me set up, no biggie. Anyway, the girl on the phone was nice, and I asked her a couple questions that I hadn't thought to ask in my dismay earlier, like when the results from the throat culture would be in. I also asked her about my missing lab results, which apparently came in a couple days after I took them over a month and a half ago, and told me that Dr. Bayon was supposed to have called me for a follow-up. Whatever. I asked her if there were any other Dr.s for adult patients there, and she talked to me about Dr. Yoshisato and I said I'd like to switch to her as my primary. She said "I understand" and gave me her office hours so I would know when to call and all that. Didn't even flinch that I was unhappy with Dr. Bayon's care. I'm all for quick and efficient patient care, but Dr. Bayon seems to only be capable of the quick care. Patients are responsible for part of the conversation, yes, but we're not mind readers. I'd have been fine if he had just said what he thought was wrong. And please don't EVER send a prescription to the pharmacy without talking to the patient about it first! Anyway, I'm fine with Solano Primary Care, and hopefully Dr. Yoshisato is better. Otherwise, it's time to find a new doctor's office for me! read more

He was rude for all of the minute and a half he was actually in the room. Didn't even bother to examine me. Just asked me for symptoms and made a diagnosis. Asking him any questions was a big mistake. He rolled his eyes and rushed out of the room after giving me a half-ass answer. I'm pretty sure he thinks he's like House M.D. but his arrogance is entirely off-putting and inappropriate for a family oriented practice. I won't be going back to see him and I recommend that you see ANYONE ELSE as a physician before you see him. There's a reason that he's always has appointment availabilities: No one wants to see him. I developed AFIB over a weekend and he got me into a specialist immediately who then had me in the emergency room with a medial team working on me within minutes. Dr. Bayon is a fine doctor but the reason for the low rating is his current staff. About 8 months ago I started having problems with renewal of prescriptions. First it was because I didn't call far enough in advance. Then when he went on vacation it was because the doctor filling in for him would not renew prescriptions for me. Then when he returned he refused because I needed lab work. When I told her I had complete lab work done four months before and I knew it had been faxed to her office and I had reviewed the results with the doctor, she became very quiet and then told me my prescription would be ready for pick up that day. I told all this to Dr Bayon and explained that I would be looking for another primary care doctor. I see by reviews that Laurie F. had similar problems. I don't understand his desire to retain a staff member that causes so many problems and looses long time patients. I have since found a new primary care doctor. read more
