Plenty of parking and it's on the backside of where the directions take you if you ever need to visit. I know you're in the right spot if you're parking is overlooking the water. The medical professional I was seeing was actually renting out an office. She was very friendly, very helpful. The staff was very inviting. They welcome me and asked me if I needed anything and I have a seat but cara was very informative and educational. The clinic was calm and quiet and everything was appointment only however, if you're used to the big healthcare systems, this made me feel a little bit more, patient centered because it was all about the patients and not the promotion of anything specific or a brand. I've been seeing my primary here for several years but I don't think I'll be back. I waited 45 minutes and still was not seen (sitting in the medical office, not the waiting room). While I had the time I took several photos of the unsanitary conditions, busted linoleum, dirt debris on floor and furniture, filthy blinds.... I also noticed the waiting room carpet has not seen a shampoo since it was installed and the front door looked like a pack of rabid dogs attempted to get in after- hours....really a medical office, although dated should be clean at minimum. I know the docs work hard but are they not aware of the condition of this office? It's horrible! read more

I'm not one to leave reviews but felt compelled to as a result of my experience. I was looking for a new primary care doctor and scheduled an annual physical/wellness appointment. Dr. Bayon and the office coded the visit as a diagnosis instead of an annual check-up and therefore not covered by insurance requiring me to pay ~$350 out of pocket. Similar to other reviews noted, I was also billed $143 out of pocket for a 5-minute phone call reiterating my lab results that I was always aware of. After a tenuous time trying to reach the office and correct the coding, Dr. Bayon and the office noted nothing could be done. First and foremost Dr.Bayon is one of the worst doctors I've ever been seen by. He was about and hour late and ignored half of my requests/concerns. His staff isn't much to rave about either. Front desk person got snarky when I tried to dispute a claim. I like Dr. Yoshisato very much. She takes her time, listens carefully, I never feel rushed and she's very down to earth. HOWEVER, HER PHONE SERVICE, WHICH HAS CHANGED RECENTLY, IS TERRIBLE, MADDENING, FRUSTRATING AND IF I CONTINUE TO HAVE THESE PROBLEMS I MAY DEVELOP SOME NEW HEALTH PROBLEM, LIKE AN ULCER, BECAUSE OF THIS. DAMNATION. I just lost the balance of this LONG message! Now I am even more frustrated. But I will try again. In the early days of my seeing Dr. Yoshisato her outgoing recording said CALL BACK - there was no way to leave a message. It just said, CALL BACK. No doc's office or any business I have dealt with in my long life has not accepted messages. Recently, the system has changed and there are now designated phone hours. The phone will be answered between 9-12 PM or 1-3 PM. After that you get a recording that says you may leave a non-urgent message. Instead of a beep, after a few seconds a recorded voice says, and I quote: "GOODBYE." I tried to leave a message 3 times and the call always ended with "GOODBYE." SO, once again, there is no way to leave a message. The other problem is that I cannot send an email to Dr. Yoshisato. The office keeps telling me that I have to send my email to Sutter's My Health Online. I sent 2 messages that way a long time ago and never received responses. I called My Health Online's help number and they said Dr. Y. does not appear to accept messages. They walked me through the process but we ran into a message that said you can't send an email to that doc. I'm afraid if I go back to what the words were I'll lose this. But the upshot was that the My Health Online said I have to work this out with my doc. It's Wed., 12/22 and I just called and the office is now closed until Monday!!! I wanted some advice about my bronchitis, with a cough that's being going on for 4 weeks now (went to urgent care, but the meds they prescribed were OVERKILL--I don't need an inhaler. I'm not having trouble breathing. And the main side effect of the antibiotic they prescribed was HEART BURN, which I already suffer from enough without adding something that will likely make it worse. The reception staff in this place make it extremely difficult to make appointments or get in contact with my doctor. I requested that someone get me a referral from my doctor and they tried to tell me I needed to pay for a telemedicine appointment to simply request a referral. I finally got the referral after much unnecessary persistence on my part, without having to pay anything. Additionally, I got a blood panel done shortly after switching to this place and found out through mychart online that I have extremely high cholesterol and very low iron in my blood. I did not receive any kind of phone call or communication from my doctor about this, which concerned me greatly. I do not feel at all confident in my doctor to let me know of any major medical issues I may be having and will be switching doctors very soon. read more

Let me first begin by saying that since I became a full time employee at my job this is the medical facility that they assigned me to! Now how it all began...... Sunday 03/29 had an off and on headache, no biggie though I just took some Tylenol and enjoyed my time with the fam bam up in Eureka. Monday 03/30 we headed back home, mom's, dad's, Casper and me in the van......oh we had to stop half way because I had to throw up really badly, now it was all just coffee that I threw up so I knew something was wrong. Well we got back in the car and at the next town had a bathroom break, did the normal......lol.....went to the bathroom! Tuesday 03/31 I got up at 6:30AM just like any other workday. Got dressed for work after I sang Happy Birthday to a friend on his voice mail even though my voice was very coarse, lol! I felt that headache coming back from Sunday so I popped a couple Tylenol again. Went to work. Once I got there, I was coughing and extremely cold. My coworker even said that I was feeling very warm, so I took myself home to rest until my doctor's appt with Dr. Bayon at 4PM. They said he only works half days on Tuesdays! So after resting in bed for a few hours I got up and got dressed to be at the doctor's office about 30 mins early, even though I live less than 1 minute away, lol! Walked into the office and the receptionist had me fill out some paperwork and said it would be a few minutes before the doctor saw me. Next thing I knew about 4:15PM rolls around and they finally call me back to a room, where they checked my weight, height, heartbeat and temp. Go figure they found out that I had a fever.......NO WAY.....I said that crap already!!! LMAO! So after waiting for the doctor for another 20 mins he finally comes in and he is this short late 40's kind of lookin maybe Irish or German or even french man, who knows!?! He sets down his laptop and wireless mouse along with my paperwork and shakes my hand. Asks me what I'm here for, keep in mind this is the 4th time I'm explaining why I'm in the office today! I told him about everything since Sunday and he then checks my breathing and said that my heart sounded a little funny (what they hell does that mean?) he then looked down my throat but didn't tell me anything that he saw. Next he sat back down at his laptop and started tappin away at the keys entering in information, he then told me that he is going to perscribe me with a few different meds including my albuterol for my asthma. After all that and asking me on the background of my family's health conditions he said, "OK that's it!" I'm like, uh OK you just walk out and don't even tell me whats wrong with me or what the possibilities are? Fine, whatever! I was way to sick to ask anybody so I drove myself back home and took a nap until Daddy came home! I have been going to Dr. Bayon for the past year or so because he is always available on short notice. That might be the only thing he has going for him though. His bedside manner is terrible, he struts in 30 minutes after the starting time of the appointment (every time), doesn't even look you in the eye, and immediately starts tap tapping on his laptop. His laptop features a stylus/pen thing on a cord, which he was casually twirling around his finger the whole time I was describing my fairly serious and frightening symptoms to him the other day. He then prescribed me some medication, failing to mention that it would cost me nearly $200 out of pocket for 9 tablets. I didn't find that out until I got to the pharmacy. I called the office to see if I could get in touch with him about a possible generic, and as usual the staff was rude and awkward on the phone. I explained my situation to her and gave her my name and number for Dr. Bayon to call me back. This was followed by about 30 seconds of awkward silence, until I finally said "Hello?" and she said that she would pass the message along. I said "okay" and then she hung up on me without another word. One other thing about the staff...they constantly listen to bad dance music loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear. I went in with a Migraine the other day and that definitely did not help. Overall I do not get a sense of professionalism from these people whatsoever. New patients beware!!! My experience as a prospective new patient was beyond frustrating. From the get-go it took more than 6 weeks to get an appointment with Dr. Yoshisato. This should've been my first warning, but many good doctors are worth the wait. So I waited 6 weeks to see the doctor. We made the appointment for 2pm and I was asked to come in a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. On the day of the appointment I arrived ten minutes early, at 1:50pm. The waiting room was packed. With only one receptionist at the desk and multiple people in line, it took awhile before I was helped. Upon check in, it was made apparent to me that they had me down for a 1:45pm appointment. I thought the appointment was at 2pm & they wrote down 1:45pm... So either I'm 10 minutes early or 5 minutes late. Either way, no big deal... Right?! Wrong!!!! I was completely turned away from seeing the doctor at all!!! AND I would need to wait another month for an appointment with the doctor. Uh! I asked if there was anything that could be done considering I took time off of work, drove 30-minutes to see the doctor and had waited 6 weeks for an appointment. The response was that the doctor was running behind (so why does it matter if I'm 5 minutes late?) and I could wait 1 hour minimum to POSSIBLY see the doctor. For every person that checked in to see the doctor during the remainder of the day, my time would be pushed behind theirs. So I wouldn't see the doctor unless she caught up with her work or someone didn't show. No thank you!! I don't care how good the doctor is, this is unacceptable! read more

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Bayon, after a normal wait time, he examined and interviewed me in a pleasant and professional manner. After which, he came to a diagnosis and suggested a plan of treatment. So far, I have responded incredibly well to Dr. Bayon's treatment plan and have no doubt that he not only saved my life, but changed it for the better. I would have no qualms referring anyone to Dr. Bayon and recommend him highly for his keen insight and diagnostic skills. In regards to the negative review below, I would like to share some insights that I have from 25 years as an RN, should the reader have any reservations about being seen at Solano Primary Care Medical Group. 1. All doctors take time off and even vacation. They have to, so that they can be mentally and physically healthy to treat patients. 2. Clinic wait times are uncontrollable. It depends on how many patients show up and how sick they are. Sicker patients take longer. 3. If you are a young person with a fever, vomiting, chills and a cough, chances are you have a virus and you will feel bad no matter what a doctor does. It's not reasonable to expect to be cured from a cold or grade a physician poorly on things that are either out of his control or for minor things that medical science has no cure for. read more

While I can't speak for Dr. Bayon, I thought it only fair to temper Theresia's review with my own review for Dr. Nguyen, who is my son's pediatrician. We chose to have our son delivered at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, having found Sutter Medical sorely lacking in quality the couple of times I went through their ER. Hence, we also wanted to make sure and find a pediatrician in the John Muir Medical Group. Dr. Nguyen is the closest pediatrician in the group with an office a couple of miles away from our house. Immediately after our son was born at the hospital, Dr. Nguyen was kind enough to come and visit us at the hospital and examine our newborn every day my wife and he were in the hospital. Since then, we've gone to see Dr. Nguyen for our son's first week, first month, second month, and fourth month checkups, and she's always been kind and helpful with our newbie parenting questions. As far as service and promptness, we've also never had to wait past our appointment time. read more

Horrible experience! Dr. Yoshiato once I got to see her was great. This medical facility completely botched the billing. For months they have sent me the same bill that I refuse to pay because they haven't bothered to bill my insurance. I have called numerous times. The last time I called I was informed that the person handling billing is on vacation until the next week. How can you possibly run an office that way? I ended up changing doctors because of this ridiculous billing problem that no one can seem to solve. The receptionist are absolutely useless in helping me. All they can say is "I don't know". I've been a patient of this office for 20+ years and service continues to deteriorate to the point that I will be looking for a new medical office. The phone lines are always busy and when someone does bother to pick up you are told to hold for an excess of 15 minutes only to be told the Dr is not available or no appointments are available. I agree with the negative reviews posted this office is unbelievable, if you want an appointment you better get in your car and drive there. They will put you on hold for 15 minutes yet if you drive there the office staff is sitting with their cell phones in their hand texting. They will put you in an exam room where you can sit for 55 minutes or more. Yet when you are sitting in the waiting area you notice the sales reps walking in the door and going straight to the back. They usually bring treats to the office staff and or Doctors. Dr. Fred Bayon is the worst he will sit in the break room chatting it up with the reps as you sit in the exam waiting and waiting. Recently I went to the nurses station to inquire if the doctor knew I was there or if he was backed up after sitting for 35 minutes? I was told you are next, I waited another 20 minutes then went up again and was told the same thing. After the third time the girl that put me in the room said let me check with the doctor. I told them is would have been respectful to a patient to have been advised that the dr. was behind or if I wanted to reschedule ? I waited another 10 minutes for Dr. Bayon to come into the room, he never touches you or looks you in the eye, he just looks into his computer. I don't think he cares a bit about you as a patient no matter how many times you have seen him. Don't go here you'd be happy somewhere else. This is my real experience with him and this office. They seem to take good care of me and my family here. The staff is nice and polite. I'm usually in and out pretty quick. It's not like going to one of the bigger hospital's for check up where it take 20 minutes just to find parking and then another half and hour to wait for your appointment that you are on time to. Getting past the front desk service is the worst part of the visit. I'm glad I'm able to see Dr. Yoshisato more often now. She is very caring, understanding and takes her time with me every time I'm there. I give Dr. Yoshisato 5 stars for sure. I'm thankful for the after hour calls I'm able to make to her to seek guidance (after hours) when I'm facing a medical emergency (eg: whether to go to the ER or if there is another option to remedy the problem). Advice to new patients: Avoid Dr. Bayon, and wait as long as it takes so you can get Dr. Yoshisato as your PC doctor. My first visit with the practice (about a year or more ago) was unfortunately with Dr. Bayon. I was having a ridiculous amount of pain, and he was just all non-chalant about it like "Here's some water, go to the ER". He was always on his computer, rarely made eye contact. Anyways, I had to wait about two months to see Dr. Yoshisato, and it was totally worth it. I've had a severe pain problem for almost 4 years now, and she lead me to the most amazing doctors to help me on my way to recovery. She makes the practice. Dr. Nguyen is our son's pediatrician and we just LOVE her. She came reccommended through our neighbors as we're new to the area and we couldn't have asked for a better pediatrician. She's very genuine and we never feel rushed in our appointments. Every appointment is very thorough and she listens to every concern we have and addresses all questions. The office is also really good at getting us in immediately if needed. Brittney, her nurse, is also really good. I was going through some medical issues after moving here and I couldn't figure it out. They got me in right away and did some tests. I think some of the past reviews are outdated. I went here recently for abdominal pain and everything went pretty smoothly. It did not take forever for someone to answer my call and when someone did, they were very kind and friendly. I didn't have any issues with anyone. The girls who took my blood pressure were kind as well and although it took a little time for me to see Dr. Yoshisato, my appointment went well. This review is way over due. We've been taking all our kids to Dr. Nguyen for many years now. She is an excellent Doctor and provides the BEST care. It's also very easy in making urgent or last minute office hours appointment with her. She makes herself available and will squeeze your child in her schedule if all possible. She takes her time and explains everything to the parents. Her assistant April, is also wonderful. They treat you like family. I take my 87 y.o. mom to see Dr. Yoshisato, and when she's unavailable, Dr. Bayon, and have been more than pleased with the medical care. I do find that the staff could be more helpful, in that on a number of occasions I have asked for a call back but my calls are not returned by the medical assistants. The wait is sometimes long, as other reviewers have mentioned but once Dr. Yoshisato comes into the exam room you'd understand why. Dr. Yoshisato takes the time to talk to her patients, with patience, care, and understanding, even for an elderly patient like my mom who can take some time to get her concerns out there. I find Dr. Yoshisato thorough, compassionate, and personable. Dr. Bayon is a bit more business like, but still equally thorough and thoughtful about what he recommends. As stated in previous comments, both Drs. have their laptops and will add notes and look things up throughout the visit. This is the 21st Century folks! I have not ever felt that they only attended to their laptop at the exclusion of the patient and I appreciate that there is a record that they refer to. Wow, Theresia's review was like deja vu. I went looking online for the Dr.'s # and came across these reviews and when I read hers, it was like she wrote about most of my visits with Bayon. When he got that laptop, he became even less personable. I am always taken care of but, only cuz I ask lottsa questions. The only thing I'd add is he'll only treat you for ONE problem during a visit. He's said it to me and my wife on various visits, "let's just take care of this for now". I've never had any other Dr. do that. Over a year after I moved away, I started getting notices from a collections agency saying I owed them money, even though I never received a bill, and paid cash each time. I started going to see Dr. Nguyn when I had my first baby in September 2013. Dr. Nguyn was very sweet and I do not want this review to reflect how she was to my son. She was very quick, knowledgeable, funny, and willing to answer any questions I had. My first impression was not the best. The appointment time was set for 9am and I got into the actual office to see the doctor at 9:33am. The lady at the front desk must have been new because she was very scattered on what she was doing. She kept asking for my insurance card then telling me to take it back then asking for it again. She seemed really confused about what she was supposed to be doing. Once we got back into the room they told me to undress my son to be measured and weighed. I didn't know I was going to have to change his diaper out (because he had to be fully undressed to be weighed) being a first time mom. I had forgotten wipes for the diaper bag. I asked the nurse if they had anything we could use. She left the room for about 8 minutes and came back and said no. So I had to use a towel and water. It was obviously my fault but I figured it being a pediatric office they would have wipes. The second time I came to the office for his one month appointment I was told my appointment was at 9am. I showed baby in hand and walked to the front door at approximately 8:50am. No one was there. The first girl to show up for the day got there at 9am and let me in. Then again I had to wait about 30 minutes to be seen. I called recently to see how much an appointment for my son would be if he was not covered under insurance any longer. They gave me the run around and told me they couldn't take him if he didn't have insurance. I asked to talk to someone else and they were finally able to tell me that they actually could take him without insurance and it would be about $450 for the well baby 2 month appointment. I think overall the office staff is WAY below par and not very professional. The office itself is fairly old. The tiles on the floors are all cracked. Overall, I cant say I would recommend going here just based on the way the office staff is and how they are never on time for the appointments. I am switching doctors offices ASAP. I've never felt so uncared for by any doctors. The first time I had to see Dr. Bayon was for a prescription and it was my first time meeting him. Not once did he look up from his laptop, or ask me my name. All he did was run through a series of questions on his laptop after waiting over an hour to see him the whole appointment took one minute. The second and last time I went to Dr. Bayon with problems breathing and pressure in my throat and chest. Once again after waiting 40 minutes, the whole appointment took only 3 minutes. He used his phone light to look down my throat and then listened to my breathing. When he was listening to my breathing he asked me to breath in and out deeply and he didn't even listen to the whole breath before he moved to another spot asking me to do the same. After a quick evaluation any nurse could have done he left the room and came back with over the counter nasal spray. Gee, thanks doctor. So if you actually want your issues to be fixed, don't come here. Go somewhere else where they will actually TRY and help you. Nasal spray wont help me with my issues, I will be making an appointment with another office and hope they will be treating me better. But regardless I will never be returning to Solano Primary Care. I'm not a regular yelp user but I thought this was a good time to join the site after hearing how my girlfriend was treated by north bay Pediatrics. She went in this morning to get a routine shot and was handed a form to sign that indicated she did not have insurance and was to pay out of pocket, however she does have insurance and has been seen under that insurance at this office times prior to this. She questioned why they were giving her this form and was told in response that they have anyone getting a shot sign it however she had received a shot just weeks before and was not asked to sign such a form. Upon her refusal to sign the form noting on it that the office is aware they have insurance and have been in contact with her insurance provider and her dad (she is a dependent) who both were contacted to confirm she had insurance. After returning the form with her notes on it a red-headed medical assistant with glasses, in very poor taste, came out into the waiting room in front of other patients to discuss the private situation with her. The medical assistant refused her service under the pretenses that she didn't believe that the office would receive payment for the shot. This is when my girlfriend despite being angry that insurance had been contacted and ignored asked the woman for a doctors note to head back to school. The woman said she would do it after she handled all of her other payments. From here another 30 minutes passed without hearing anything so my girlfriend went to the counter to see if it was ready and overheard the red head lady and receptionist gossiping, the red head woman stated " It's just another Mexican who can't afford insurance". Keep in mind my girlfriends family is upper middle class and well covered, but regardless of economic stature racial prejudice does not belong any where let alone the work place. I'm disgusting that people like this exist, and sad that it's in my community. I see Dr. Bayon. He is late sometimes, but what doctor isn't?! I think he is quick and to the point. One of his staff members could use some help with her manners...she sometimes answers the phone in a not so pleasant way, and does not seem to like her job. That's not a big deal to me though, as I am pleased with the doctor, and he is the one caring for me, not his receptionist. I always get great appointment dates and times that suit me. read more

Oh My goodness! I really do not know how Dr. Yoshisato is still in practice. My father who is 82 year old is a patient of her's and has been for way too many years. He has been repeatedly been dissatisfied with her care (giving him prescriptions he doesn't know why he is getting them, and keeping him on other which he doesn't need), but has done nothing up to now to change physicians. My Father was hospitalized on September 11, 20114 and was in ICU for several days, He needed three units of blood prior to being moved to another floor. My father stated to me that he had told Dr. Yoshisato in July that he felt anemic, but she discounted what he had to say. She said to him, "oh we will look into it on your next visit (October)". His Cardiologist took my father off several of the medications that Dr. Yoshisato put him on as he felt they were unnecessary and dangerous and referred him to a Pulmonologist as my father complained to him that he was short of breath. The doctor put him on oxygen only when he was short of breath. By the time he was hospitalized in September, he was using the oxygen 24/7 for several days. If I hadn't shown up for an expected visit, by father would not be with us today. While he was in the hospital (Sutter Solano-Great Care by the way), Dr. Yoshisato's office was asked twice to send my father's records twice (never received). When my dad followed up with her more than two weeks later (only appointment available supposedly) she told him that she did not know he was hospitalized! Really! I have had the good fortune of being associated with Solano Primary Care Medical Group for several years. All of my family members go to either Dr. Bayon, Dr. Yoshiato or Dr. Nguyen, and I have referred many colleagues and friends to them also. Admittedly, there have been times when I have had to wait in the lobby to see my doctor, but overall, when I have needed to get into see Dr. Bayon, I have always been able to get in usually the same day if I needed. Dr. Nguyen has taken care of my youngest daughter since birth and she is eleven. In any case, I have met at one time or another with all three physicians associated with this medical group and have found them to be professional, caring and responsive and I would recommend them to others. Lastly, in relation to the other posts, I think that good medical care is a two-way street. If a patient hasn't received all of the information they anticipated during their doctor's visit, then they need to take it upon themselves to ASK so they get the information. read more

Dr, Paige is a sweetheart but has a large patient load and takes forever to see. Office staff can be quite gruff and doesn't respond to calls as efficiently as they should. Took months to get my paperwork completed to have my surgery done as the people at the front desk didn't want to deal wth it...." As frustrated as I can get Dr. Paige is definitley worth seeing. Just have to be patient and look past her nurse and the office help. read more
