We especially enjoyed the dance room, the arts room, the vet office, and the grocery store. So many fun opportunities for learning and only $15 per person - a great way to spend hours for very little money. The ones who are working in certain hands on areas are very good about maintaining clean working environments not just for themselves, but for the children as well. You have everything from stem learning areas to the artist garden, and the pelican pottery area. There is an area where kids learn about bubbles and the Girl Scouts had an event today where they were learning about the solar system. There is just so much for kids to see and do here. Admission is $15 but I can tell you, it is worth absolutely every penny. If I lived any closer, I would easily pay the $100 for the membership. That would be entirely worth it. There is this one structure that looks like a bunch of piled up both open and closed books. It is actually a climbing structure for the kids. It extends from the base floor all the way up to the second floor, which is the main level. It is quite a sight to see your child hook their head up from the structure up and over the guard rails on the second floor. The kids here were so friendly. They were very friendly and no one was pushy. The parents are also allowed to climb on the structure. That was pretty cool. I don't know about you, but I don't trust my knees. I would rather not slide or fall off anything that I really shouldn't have had any business climbing up all over on anyway. We met some really great people here. We had such an amazing & lovely time here!

They also have a small outdoor space. There's a huge outdoor pavilion as well as a small one. There's also a butterfly garden. This museum butts up to the St. Tammany trace as well as the Kids Konnection playground which is free and amazing. Parking is across the street.

A lot of the exhibits seem geared more toward kids, so depending on what you're looking for, it may not fully hit the mark. That said, it's still a decent stop if you're in the area - just don't go in expecting a super in-depth or highly engaging museum experience. Overall, not bad, but not something I'd go out of my way for.

The Infinity Science Center in Pearlington, Mississippi, just south of Interstate 10, is a huge…read morescience and space museum filled with hands-on exhibits and incredible artifacts that are must-sees for anyone who loves science and space. The nearby Stennis Space Center is not open to the public. However, the Infinity Science Center is just outside the Stennis Space Center, and it brings NASA history, space flight, earth science and science-related technology to life. This museum offers an abundance of superb exhibits about the history of the Space Program. Exhibits are both indoor and outdoor -- the outdoor area includes the first stage of a Saturn V rocket. The Stennis Space Center is the main facility for NASA rocket testing, so if you are a space flight enthusiast, this is a great place to visit. Real space memorabilia are displayed, including spacesuits, the Apollo 4 capsule, and a lunar module mock-up. The anti-gravity displays are fascinating. Hands-on exhibits are plentiful and educational, including a "create your own hurricane" exhibit. If you need to take a break and sit, movies are shown in their little theatre. The gift shop and cafe are pleasant, and good places to get a drink, snack, or light lunch, and a fun souvenir (I got myself a great NASA ball cap!). Just off Interstate 10, this is a must-see for anyone who has a love of science, math, engineering, or technology -- and wonderful for children interested in STEM. Even if you're just passing by on your way to someplace, this is very much worth stopping for at least an hour of your time.

If you're in the area (or even if you're not), this is a must-visit for families, especially if your kids are into STEM. We left inspired, educated, and already planning our next trip. I had the distinct pleasure of visiting this interactive cultural funhouse, highlighting the Joy /…read moreArt / Music of New Orleans. It was truly a love letter to the city, full of colorful, unique, and creative art exhibitions, all made out of recycled materials (which I found to be impressive and admirable)! There was a curated playlist of amazing jazz music playing throughout, which really set the tone delightfully! Upon entering, guests are welcomed into the space and there was a personable and helpful guide who described the space, then led us into the opening rooms. The first one was blue with neon pink, green, and glowing, with letters, symbols, and TV screens, comprising of one big puzzle. The next is a long hallway of hot pink with blue detailing and lights throughout, along with cool protruding, spongy shapes representing organs on the walls. Very psychedelic vibes! This led into a large space with sculptures of a larger than life alligator mouth open wide, creature atop a huge pot with the words "Stir the Pot," crawfish, tall lily pads, insect jazz band, peacock and more. There was also a cool, pretty flower wall, and upon closer inspection, I discovered they were made out of records. From there, I headed upstairs to see the blue, purple, and pink room holding the gorgeous Fountain of Youth glowing bright blue, filled with gold coins in them for wishes. The ceiling was lush and leafy with a lovely hanging light, as well as a pearly oyster shell inspired one. In addition, there was a shotgun style house with a balcony we could go in. Back downstairs, I explored a bar neon colored words related to New Orleans all over the walls, with upside down piano & drinks. Next, I checked out a decorative white a black room, featuring a glowing green stand. With the press of a button, it turned the room disco-y blue with a glow in the dark effect. After that, I went into the beautiful Desire themed room with humongous pearl structures hanging down, where you can write and release your true desires. Such a dreamy, ethereal feel to this one! There was a little sleek and sexy speakeasy space, called Candlelight Lounge. Then was one of my favorite exhibits: Feast Mode, displaying glittery New Orleans culinary delight classics in true indulgent style, as well as super funky, fun paintings and art pieces. Near this room was a window with full of shiny, delicately constructed objects of vibrant colors representing New Orleans. This was a glitzy video opp with props offered, with the phone going in the center, spinning around and capturing us dancing, shimmying, or whatever suits your fancy! The remaining few installations were music themed with drums and large silver circles, which could be played, emitting different sounds to create a symphony of song. At the end, there was a room showcasing larger than life sculptures of heads of musical greats, including Louis Armstrong, Lil Wayne, and Big Freedia. I really enjoyed my time here. Staff were super welcoming, accommodating, and helpful with photos throughout. The artistry, detail, and care was visible throughout each and every art piece and room. JAMNOLA was such a fun experience and I recommend you check it out for yourself!

She was excited the whole time, and honestly so was I. It's one of those places where you can actually enjoy it as an adult and still let your kid have their moment too. We definitely got some really cute pictures, so if you're into that, you're going to love it. It's very "stop, pose, next room, do it again" in the best way. It's not a super long experience, but it's worth it. I'd say give yourself about an hour, maybe a little longer if you're taking your time with photos. Only tip is try to go when it's not too crowded, because some people really turn it into a full photoshoot and you'll be waiting a little. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you have kids or just want something different to do in the city.
