And we are so blessed to have found her, she is an amazing doctor she takes her time, answers all questions and makes us feel welcome every time we have an appointment. I also love the way the office is set up and it is so convenient that she is the only doctor that works in the building so the wait time for being seen is very quick. And it makes the experience much more personal and not rushed. Not to mention the amazing office staff who always greet us with such kindness. Do not support these doctors or this practice. Fair use: This is my opnion and I can share my experience about this practice as these are facts and experiences from myself. The practice is: Dr.Parul S.Jani, MD and Dr.Metah and N.P. Patricia Smawley 1005 Prince Frederick Blvd Prince Frederick, MD 20678 410-535-5555 Today, while waiting for an appointment with Patti, the front desk receptionist, Cherie (the woman with red hair), was very rude when I asked when I would be seen. I had been waiting for 30 minutes, which is unusual when seeing Patti. I happened to ask at the same time another patient was called back. Cherie responded, "They are being seen by Dr. Jani. When Patti gets a room, you will be called back." I said, "Oh, no, I was not asking because they went back. I was asking because I've been here for 30 minutes." I continued speaking calmly, even though she was being very dismissive and rude, seemingly so she could return to talking with her friend, who was another patient. She then said, "Like I said, they are seeing Dr. Jani. You will be called back when a room becomes available." I asked her, "Why do you keep talking about other patients? That is not why I asked when I would be able to go back." I have been a patient at this office for years, and I am familiar with how medical appointments work. There may be patients who are called back before me because they are seeing a different provider. That was not my reason for asking. When I walked away after her rude response, I saw Cherie look at me with annoyance. I told her that I hoped she would have a better day, and she said she was having a great day. I responded that it did not seem like it. When I sat down, an elderly woman next to me appeared shocked by Cherie's unprofessional behavior. When I was called back later, Cherie looked at me in a very mean and intimidating way, as though she wanted to fight me. She was squinting her eyes at me and making other intimidating facial expressions. While I was in the examination room, I overheard her speaking very loudly and openly about my patient status to another patient who appeared to be her friend. Cherie said that my chart showed I had previously been discharged, that Patti allowed me to return, and that everyone was now regretting it. Regardless of the truth of that claim, I hope Dr. Mehta and Associates take this matter seriously. Their front desk staff member openly discussed information from my medical chart with another patient, which may constitute a serious HIPAA privacy violation. Cherie's behavior today was unprovoked, unprofessional, and disgusting. She did not stop at simply being rude. She escalated the situation by attempting to intimidate me with her facial expressions. She then took matters much too far by loudly discussing private information from my chart with another patient. Cherie also disclosed information about another patient by stating who that patient's doctor was. Update- As of 09/01/2026, I have been terminated from the practice. This is what the letter states, "As of the date listed above, you are being terminated from our practice as of 09/01/2026.The relationship between a physician and patient requires a level of comfort on the patient and physician." My take on this is that one the ONLY reason why I stayed at this practice is because Patti is nice. However, I was already one foot out because the some of the front staff are snippy and rude. And if you complain about it the owner Dr.Metah does not want to hear it, he will make sure that you are terminated. My personal information was discussed which breaks the HIPPA Law, I complain about it and I'm terminated? I will make sure that my rights are protected. If you are God fearing, this fits perfectly as, 'Man's rejection is God's protection. This place is negative and obviously is one sided. Do not waste your time at this practice. You will be treated unfairly at one point or another if you disagree.

Jennifer, the Office Manger is the friendliest, most personable professional I have ever encountered! She is attentive, and everything is taken care of. From refreshments, to billing and making sure your next appointment is scheduled, she is on top of it all. I love the informational sheets and goals that are printed out at the end of each appointment reminding us of goals and vital information we discussed with Dr. Parker. Dr. Parker is enthusiastic, a terrific listener and you can tell she truly cares about the health of your child. I've never experienced a practice such as this and I would recommend this practice to any one seeking to feel supported throughout their journey to living a healthy life for their children.

My 2 year old is highly afraid of Shots AND doctors, but Dr. Lamson was able to entertain the little guy enough where he allowed him to pull his pant leg up so that he could administer the vaccine on his thigh, he cried a bit, but after that, he wanted Dr. Lamson to play with him. My 4 year old, on the other hand, loved how Dr. Lamson installed a video game system in the waiting lobby and he also enjoyed the decorations that were put up in the patient room.
