At first glance, the pricing and turnaround time seemed decent. There is a sign on the counter stating "please inspect clothes," so I made sure to do so. I was disappointed to realize there were visible stains on more than one of my blouses. I politely asked the man at the counter about these and he immediately got angry. Furthermore, he started shouting at me and went on a rant telling me I should "take better care of my clothes." I was speechless. The stain was from a few drops of soda water that had dribbled on a white shirt. I have never had such bad customer service in my life! In the past, I have had dry cleaners atleast act apologetic for any remaining stains after cleaning... Not the case here. I paid for my shirts and bolted out of there. Additional note: I took the same blouse to another dry cleaner and they were able remove the stain without any complaints. I recommend you SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY and try a different dry cleaner.

And they're well equipped, with more than a dozen washing machines and dryers, so you're not standing around waiting for someone to finish their laundry. I know credit cards are accepted pretty much everywhere in Australia, so this may not sound like a big deal. But coming from Japan, where cash is still very much a thing, seeing a laundromat that accepts credit cards felt like heaven. No hunting for coins, no leftover Australian change rattling around my wallet. If you're staying around Southern Cross Station, this place is a huge help--especially if you're traveling light.

There were plenty of washers and dryers. The employee also let me know that my cloths would fit into a smaller washer just fine. She also loaned me the key to a nearby bathroom for customers only. I went in the middle of the day and had no issues waiting for machines. Great little place right by Spencer Outlet so I shopped while I waited for the washing machine to be done. I get wholes in the crutch of pretty much every pair of jeans I ever buy, so I'm at Brown Gouge quite regularly, and they always do a good job. At around $10 or $15 to have jeans patched, they also save me a lot of money (as I previously just used to buy new jeans). So be slave to the denim manufacturing tyrants no more...get your patch on at Brown Gouge!
