Loved the small piece of apple cake which was bought at Detroit's Eastern Market at their stand there. Good service. Chocolate chip cookie was also good -but the apple cake -or perhaps it was called apple tart -was special. It was under-sweetened by US standards, which is hard to find and imo makes things taste better with the taste of the fruit coming out more. Maybe an Old World recipe?? I would re-visit their stall and would visit the actual bakery if I lived closer! read more

The absolute BEST brownies!!! Everything we have tried has been wonderful! The brownies keep in the refrigerator for several weeks, if in an airtight container. I cut them in half so that they last longer; they are perfectly chewy and chocolately! My second favorite thing is the spinach feta pastry, although I would like more filling. All of their pastries that I have tried are exquisite. I drive from the east side of Detroit to visit Bayview Bakery. It is worth the trip! read more

Nice little bakery situated beautifully in downtown New Baltimore. I purchased eight different pastries for my out of town guests/family. Unfortunately, we were left unimpressed. 5 stars all the way! The owner is so nice and I just love coming down here. This is just what a quaint and charming downtown like New Baltimore needs, a good little bakery. Such a great location right on Front street facing the water, and she has wonderful things. I love the savory breakfast pastries (not sure what they're called). The one with spinach and feta is my favorite. On my birthday I had the most amazing layered raspberry cake, which she offers in slices (selections change and product offerings are not always the same). I love to be able to just get a slice of something and not have to leave with a whole cake (very dangerous to leave with a whole cake, especially if you're the only one in the family who loves to eat cake!). There's a whole variety of baked goods here, such as cookies including seasonal kinds, danishes/breakfast pastries, brownies, cakes, and in the refrigerator she even offers pierogi and other savory items! I'd like to eat my way through this place, ha ha! read more

After a while of my friends raving about this bakery, I had no other choice but to visit! I came in at 10am and was greeted by the owner of the bakery, and she was so sweet and walked me through what she had for the day. I got the spinach & feta strudel, a lemon danish, as well as a fresh cinnamon roll that just popped out of the oven to share with my boyfriend. We ate our pastries by the water, and WOW how I regret not coming here earlier! Everything was so delicious and I was a big fan of everything I've tried so far. I will certainly be coming back!
