And I woke up to a text from Magic River Campground themselves. The employee was Tiffany, and this is what the text read, "Hi this is Tiffany with Magic River. Unfortunately we are going to have to ask you to leave due to the condition of your van. We have age limits on campers that we accept, and the only time we will accept an older model is if it has been well taken care of and restored. Sorry for the inconvenience, but that is what the owner wants. We also don't allow vehicles that don't run." The only reason for this text is I had a relative pick me up from my RV and take me somewhere for a while, then they brought me back late. I must point out that if you are in an RV and leave, you lose the site you paid for! Magic River Campground is prejudiced in all aspects of the word, DON'T choose MAGIC RIVER CAMPGROUND to stay a night. Because this is the response you will get. A heads up, as I publish this review, this Campground is a member of Passport America, so be aware, if you don't have a brand new RV or pull behind this is the response you will get from Magic River Campground, and they don't properly lock their gate at night, so it's not as secure as they like you to think, and there was no staff member watching the unlocked, wide open gate last night.

I asked one of these human maggots to cut his motorcycle engine that was running on 20 minutes unattended. I found him sitting at his trailer on the opposite side of the park. At the moment he could tell that I was going to call the management he finally acknowledged my presence and told me he would turn the engine off. However being consistent with his maggot personality he decided to repeatedly drive by my space and gun the throttle on his Harley...Ironically he's a 300+ pound coward. There's a fire pit that would otherwise be a pleasant experience if it wasn't for this guy's wife who is a complete alcoholic motor mouth. She's got to run on mouth and her favorite topic is how obnoxious she can be. The management is going to keep losing patrons because they're afraid to do what's right for fear of losing the predictable income of a full timer. Fortunately there are plenty of choices for RV parks around Pass Christian. Magic River also has a problem with flooding and I really doubt the management would evacuate people in time. I've heard that they have already screwed that one up. I can't believe how happy I am to be out of there!

She stated my kids were throwing rocks, ok, sorry, we had them come inside and apologized- I nor my husband Witnessed this. A few mins later she came back saying our neighbor complained our kids hit their RV with the rocks. We were asked to leave because our neighbors threatened to leave, and they would be staying longer than us and I quote "I would loose money." Fine. At this point, after interacting with her a few times, we were ok with leaving, just not a friendly lady (which our neighbors told us the night before). We found another campsite and packed up to leave. We knocked on our neighbors door and made our boys apologize for anything they might have done because if they did do something we will fix it. Our neighbors had no clue what we were talking about. Said they never complained nor heard anything hit their camper. The lady was super sweet to us and said she was sorry we had to leave. We were refunded our monthly rate. We did mention to owner/manager she should let folks know when they call weeks in advance and say they are coming with children, that it's not a family friendly place. There is nothing there. It's just a solid rock parking lot. May be fine for older folks without children or someone visiting a day or two but not full time. Also note a train runs past about every 15mins! Lastly, they were pretty much empty. For some reason they put us on top of our neighbors. We asked them for a different site and she said, "No. We are full". Yea, ok. The park we are at now was the complete opposite. They are very full but once we explained to the manager what happened at Gulf Haven she said she was going to find us a spot here. Even willing to make phone calls to see if guests were still coming. This may very well be a great park we just feel it needs to be labeled for the older crowd or those without kids.

We decided to stay outside of Louisiana where the majority of our work was and I found this gem on google. Called the number and Dusty answered. Saved us a pull through spot right up front and even helped us set up when we got there around 9pm. We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed every second. It's off a back road with no street lights and that can be a bit unsettling to me but honestly, I stayed here by myself during the day and early evenings and didn't feel any type of way about it. People were always out, walking their dogs, kids riding bikes, so I felt pretty safe. Dusty was accessible whenever we needed something and drives through the park several times a day. There are full time residents that live at the park that are super friendly and always wave. My only advice is If you travel with dogs, be sure to keep them on a leash. Some residents let their dogs roam free and my pups don't do well with unleashed dogs approaching. The laundry facility is upstairs in the office building- 1 washer and 1 dryer. Dryer works exceptionally fast. There is a bathroom up there as well that looks to be well maintained and cleaned. We will definitely be back if we make it out to Pass Christian again!

They have long term lots and then a handful that they keep open for those passing through or just staying for the weekend. It feels like all the long term RVs are smashed together in clumps. I wish we were spread out a bit more. Some of the sites are much more desirable. If you have the opportunity, it would be nice to take a drive/walk around and choose your site before you park your RV. Assuming it's available. I don't know how they choose to divide up the lots. There are restroom and shower facilities located on the north side of the property, connected to the office and the lounge. Separated by gender. There is an access code to get into each door. The restrooms are cleaned every single night and they are always in great condition. That is definitely a plus! The showers in the women's room have almost zero water pressure and it's impossible to wash my hair in there. The men's showers have awesome water pressure. Sneak in there if you can find a way. Not that I have any experience doing that... There is a swimming pool that is also located next to the office. It's open all year and looks nice, though I haven't tried it out yet. There is a nice sized, fenced in, dog area located on the west side of the property. It's just a short walk from wherever you might be parked. There are dog bags and a trash receptacle inside for your convenience. Most people pick up after there pets, but there are always those special people who don't think they have to. If you can get with the program, this RV park makes it pretty easy for you. There are also two benches inside the dog park as well as a watering station for your pets. There isn't a separate area for small and big dogs, so make sure you are comfortable walking in if there is already someone there. Two large dumpsters are on the east side of the park and they are never full. I haven't heard a trash truck yet, but they are obviously emptying it very regularly. There are signs everywhere reminding you that you are expected to take your own trash to the dumpsters. The office staff is helpful and available every day from 9-5. If you have outgoing mail you can put it in the little basket at the front desk. You can also have mailed delivered to the park office and it's no problem. They hold it behind the desk for you to pick up. We've been here for several weeks so far and are enjoying our stay.
