This was partially my fault for not asking first but I was charged $90 for hemming a bridesmaid dress... almost the cost of the dress itself. I had no other alterations except a few inches taken off the bottom. I had others tell me they brought their dresses there and it was about $20 to hem so I was very caught off guard with the cost. Go anywhere else. I went to BB's alterations after being recommended by a friend for my wedding dress alteration. The woman who pinned me didn't listen to how I wanted the dress altered and insisted that her way of pinning the dress was the only way to take it in. She spent roughly 5 minutes pinning my dress haphazardly (with a horrible attitude, by the way). I trusted her based on my friend's suggestion, so I left my dress with BB's for 4 hours. I continued having a bad feeling regarding the way she pinned my dress, so I decided to call and pick it up to take elsewhere. When I got there to pick my dress up, the two customers in front of me were complaining about work they had done previously (so I felt justified in my decision to take my dress elsewhere). When it was my turn to talk to the woman at the front desk, she requested that I pay her for her time spent pinning the dress. FIVE MINUTES. She demanded I pay her twenty dollars for five minutes of her time. I sure wish I had that rate at my job. I essentially had to pay BB's alterations to NOT alter my dress. read more

Inconsistent with pricing and had 2 pair of brand new leggings to him ( I am short) and they didn't take up enough (many many pairs she had done) and I asked her to re do them because they were expensive and the hem is expensive. She wanted to charge me again to take 2 more inches off that she missed the first time! DONE read more

The woman who owns this business is an absolute sweetheart. She doesn't speak much English but communicates well despite of it. My daughter had her wedding gown hemmed and had a bustle added. Quality work and it was done quickly. I can't recommend her enough. They were quite busy the few times we were there so she must be doing something right! read more

We had alterations for my daughter's wedding dress done here,. The alterations were done perfectly, it looked like a lot of work to me. At least one dress size taken in, hemming , lots of appliqués to work around. We went in for two fittings before picking up the dress. She showed me how to do the bustle before I left with the dress. The work was done on time as promised, and I never waited more than a couple minutes to get what we needed done. Reasonable price for all the work that was done I felt. She offered advice as to how to make the dress fit perfectly and she was right. read more

I'm young and she probably thinks idk how much an alteration is. she charged me 45 for a simple hem, never going back again.

Owner hung up on me after refusing to answer my question over the phone. I called back to say "hey, it's pretty rude to hang up on a potential customer." The owner did not apologize and instead retorted that she had already told me she could not answer my question over the phone. I said well I could have had other questions about your services you shouldn't just hang up on someone. That's incredibly rude I don't want to come there at all now. She then hung up on me a second time! If I could give this place negative stars I would. This is the first Yelp review I have ever left, and I only decided to because I was so put off my this interaction. read more

She works fast but isn't consistent with pricing. Brought bridesmaids dresses to get hemmed and spaghetti straps and was told it would be $20-$70 for each dress depending on how many layers. Went to pick up dresses and she was charging $90 per dress (28.5% higher than the top price she ranged).... when I asked her why she was charging so much more, she told me it was because of the number of layers (2) that my dresses had each. This confusing to me as I thought that's why I was given the range previously. This was not expected and she was pretty rude when I respectfully asked. There is a language barrier but overall, the customer service wasn't great. read more

I've been coming here for many years and have always been pleased. There seamstresses are top quality, helpful and honest. There service is quick too. When I was out today, I ruined my scarf. The scarf is very thin. I drove to BB's and showed her the holes. Even though she said she could fix them, she said the small holes would not get bigger. I was pleasantly surprised by her honesty, especially with everyone trying to make a buck these days. That is why I continue to go. You should too! read more

Really excellent work. I brought my bridesmaids dress in 2 weeks before the wedding, took about 5 minutes to try on and pin. I called in a few days before I was due to pick it up and asked if I could come back in because I had lost a few more pounds. They told me to come back in so they could repin before they altered the dress. Tried it back on, repinned , and went back to pick it up two days later. The dress was perfect and they charged a very reasonable price. Very satisfied! read more

BB's did a wonderful job on altering my wedding dress and even was able to change it from looking like a mermaid style (which was a goof on the part of the designer) to more A-line like I had wanted. They really can work magic and had my dress done in just about a week. Very pleased with the results and their pricing. A+ work! read more

Do NOT take multiple items to be tailored or they WILL LOSE SOMETHING. I needed suits tailored for a job placement program and while the seamstress did well on the pieces she did, she lost 1/4 of my order, claiming that I didn't bring it in to begin with when I was with someone who saw me try on all 8 pieces of clothing and watched her pin them all. What makes it even harder to believe that I didn't try on all 8 pieces of clothing is that she gave me a suit jacket with a different colored pair of pants and that her ticket looked like it originally said 8 pcs and then had a big 6 written over it. When I tried explaining, she wouldn't listen and then kept telling me to "GO HOME". If you have more than one thing to bring in and want to keep all of your clothes and good customer service, don't come here. read more

After calling around to a few places, I decided to try BB's. It was hard to find, being behind Board Paradise. I needed to have patches sewn onto a leather vest. I had the patches pinned on the locations where I needed them, assuming the seamstress would center them. She didn't ask any questions, gave me a price and said she would call when it was finished. Come back an hour later and most of the patches are sewn on crooked or uneven to the rest of them. She claims that she only sews where it is pinned and that I should have told her to center them. I then had to unthread some of the patches to show her exactly where to place them, measuring and marking it myself. After a few minutes she then says it will cost extra (already priced at 60 dollars) to redo what she had already messed up. Never going there again. read more
