I've lost my debit cards and have gone into the bank and received a replacement immediately, every time. I've had fraud on my account and Frost gave me my money back. I bought something shady off of fb that never arrived and Frost replaced my card and money. I've never been treated rudely, their cs is awesome and welcoming. Also, I don't get over draft fees since they cover up to $100 over draft protection on my acct, something I didn't even ask for but one day received a notification stating I had it and then accidentally used the service, a few times. I'm sad that I'm probably gonna have to change banks since I've moved out of Texas. But I've been out of Texas for 2 years now but just haven't been able to part with Frost.

The closest one is in Brownsville. The Chase footprint completely skips over Harlingen, not showing up again until McAllen. I did need an actual Chase bank to take care of something administrative. I would combine this errand trip to Brownsville with a few other things I needed to do. When in Brownsville, you will inevitably come across the name Ruben M. Torres. He figures prominently in Texas history as an educator, educational administrator, and legislator, in addition to holding a doctorate beyond baccalaureate and master degrees from universities now under the Texas A&M umbrella. It's also the name of a major thoroughfare in Brownsville. And this important Chase branch is in fact located on Ruben M. Torres Blvd. I went into this branch where everything is slightly supersized, be it the actual bank interior, the number of teller windows and drive-thru lanes, the parking lot, and the generally larger edifice for additional functions, possibly community/meeting rooms. However, what stood out the most is the mixing of professionalism with informality that puts the customer at ease. For those in key roles in this area, that seems to be more common than not. A key employee here stood by me until a more involved process was completed and its transmission and receipt were acknowledged. This is in addition to a visit to one of the teller windows for more routine transactions. As I was driving along the expressway here and would see the name Ruben Torres, it would hearken to the name of someone I could have theoretically gone to high school or college with in SoCal. I even relayed that to one of the Chase employees who smiled and said that that could also be likely in their geographic area. I concluded my business at this key Chase branch, made sure to take a few photos to pass along that this is an excellent facility, and got into the car. In shutting the door and motoring off, I could hear something stupid and sophomoric in my head to the tune of 'Hey, man, party at Ruben Torres's house.' I laughed, then probably ruminated about something else, and did a few other things in Brownsville before heading back to the island.

Expressway branch in August of 2025, and worked with a Banking Officer on setting up the account. After meeting the requirements for the bonus, the Officer ensured me all was in order to receive the bonus. After 3 months with still not receiving the total bonus, I met with a second Banking Officer who also said everything was fine and it would just take more time. After 4 months and in to the New Year, I contacted Chase Corporate and they informed me, that I did not qualify for the offer as my Direct Deposit was not set up correctly. I returned to the Bank and met with the Branch Manager, and he was very standoffish and had no interest in helping me in any way, even though his Bank Officers were at fault. As a result, I did not receive the checking $700 bonus money the bank said that I would receive. Be wary of this bank, as Banking Officers were not competent in there job, and the Leadership there is not there for your interest at all. He was abrasive and lacked compassion for the customer. I will never do business with this bank again.

To the point that I asked her if she was having a bad day and she curtly responded that she was just doing her job. The account was big. I finally told her I couldn't do business with her because of her attitude. Just then a friendly guy that also worked there greeted me as he was walking to his desk, and I asked him if he could help me. He did help me. So I opened the account. I didn't get the checks until October. I opened the account in July. I went to another IBC at another location, and they assured me that I would receive the checks shortly. That didn't happen. I went to another worker at a third location and I received the checks today after they sent the checks to another address which I NEVER GAVE THEM. I have a very busy schedule and it's next to impossible to get time off. When I finally got the checks they sent one freaking book. Seriously, this bank does not want your business. Maybe their customer base is from Mexico. The contractor that is working on my remodel opened an account with them shortly after I did initially. He told me a couple days ago that he was treated so badly he closed his account shortly thereafter. If you are looking to be treated badly, and feel disrespected this is the bank for you. Good luck if you open an account with them. P.S. I should have walked out the first day as there were police officers talking to the manager at the time.

Very quickly we were waited on by Miriam. She explained the currency exchange and made suggestions on size currency to carry. She also encouraged us to become new members and explained the advantages of the bank (even for seasonal customers.) it was such a good experience. I asked if I could take a picture since the Bank was so beautiful. Miriam took time to ask & receive her supervisor's approval. Miriam was so very helpful. The entire exchange was handled professionally and made the exchange a fun encounter.

We are submitting a case with the regulatory services NCUA. They have held CDs in a very low rate…read moreand refuse to help rollover to a better rate even though we are ok with paying the fine. This has cost us thousands of dollars. They make the process impossible and do not respond to requests. A simple rollover is not complicated going to an established firm. They do not answer the phone, and do not help with the process. Do not deposit money in any type of CD with them, they will hold it hostage and will not let you withdraw it or rollover when you are losing money everyday. There were reviews on this before with yelp and they were deleted. I am doing this to warn people and if you are having trouble with customer service I urge you to file a case with the NCUA, call them and have a rep help you.
