    Once inside

This place is huge! They have a ton of beers on tap and bottled to choose from. You cannot come here and say there wasn't something for you. I had a really good time. This place is not pretentious what's so ever. The guys working there were really nice, giving us tasters, telling us about the local breweries and who they've collabed with on special brewing projects. You need to make it a point to stop here at least once. Your Homegirl, Violy

I was around the area one night, trying to make my way to a restaurant near by when I stumbled upon this bar. I only saw it from the outside and I hard lounge music and it had a cool vibe to it. I had to come back and check it out, and so I did. The inside has a cool industrial layout, very spacious and open, but beware... this place gets packed. if you come with a large group you'd be better off making a reservation or getting here early (like around... 7ish) Service is amazing when compared to the other breweries in town, and their selection is pretty wide. I don't know much about beer, but my friend who is a huge beer snob loves it here because they have exclusive/rare brands, so I'll take his word on it. Last note: They ONLY serve beer here. Perhaps some water.... but, come on..

This is by far one of the best craft beer tasting rooms in TJ! Shoot, they have a much better ambiance in comparison to some of the tasting rooms here in SD. The decor is quite awesome and had an industrial feel to it, with plenty of seats. The crowd is pretty hipster, with a good mix of locals and San Diegans. The beer list is extensive and you'll find everything from local Baja beers to sours from Belgian. Whether you want something on tap or some special edition beer on bottle from Europe, they've got plenty on hand for everyone to enjoy. Hungry? They have some tasty pizza and other typical bar grub that'll pair well with your cold pint. If you're tired of the same old Coronas or Pacificos you'll find elsewhere in TJ, BCB is worth the visit!

This place is AMAZING!!! Great beer, and awesome music! Good chill environment. I wish there was a place like this down the street from my house in Los Angeles.

She recommended a milk punch cocktail that incorporated Sotol, which is kind of like tequila but instead of fermenting agave, it ferments Dasylirion and is made only in Chihuahua. Then she recommended a cocktail that leverages a Mexican produced corn liquor in a Negroni but with gin subbed with mezcal. Both of these cocktails are bartenders choice and not on the menu, but the fact that they can execute such innovative cocktails so we'll speaks to the level of dedication bartenders at this bar have. Renee even gave pointers as to where I might be able to buy some of the bottles they use and for a few other bars of similar caliber to visit nearby. Instead of ending my trip at Nortico as previously planned, she helped me find a really cool new bar in Tijuana! Highly recommend.

I ordered the Pepino Misionero which is a cucumber drink. I loooooooooveeee my cucumber drinks! This one felt like a mojito in that there were muddled ingredients in it. I loved the drink but I typically don't order mojitos because I find them difficult to drink and I hate getting the leaves in my mouth. I had the same difficulty with the Pepino Misionero. The ambiance is modern with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a gorgeous fire pit right in the middle of the patio which gives off nice heat without making your hair smell like firewood. It's the perfect place to grab a few drinks before heading down for your dinner reservation at Mision 19 but it's not a place I would seek out just to drink at for the night. The prices are very similar to the prices you would pay for cocktails in the states. Not overly expensive, just more expensive than other drink prices in Mexico. It was a bit dead when we arrived since it was fairly early in the night so I'd be curious to feel the vibe of the place when it's more packed.

The food was just as killer. The pastrami sliders were fantastic, albeit small. The tuna tostada was solid, but there should be 2 on the plate IMO. The potatoes and crispy mushrooms were very tasty. The scallops were delish but $36 for 2 smaller scallops and little veg to accompany is my biggest complaint. The star of the show was the half chicken. As the night drew on it got cooler inside but just be aware. The decor is adorable and the DJ was super fun. Our waitress said most of their serving dishes and glasses are antiques that the owner has collected. Love that. We ordered a glass of Gamay (because it was served cold) and beer to start. We ended up getting a bottle of the Lester Pinot Noir also because it was cold. They will let you taste any wines even before you order a full glass and that's super awesome. Note they only have beer and wine. The food was good and as everyone else has said, the portions are small. We started with the pastrami gougeres which was definitely my favorite thing that we ordered. Very, very good and not nearly as heavy as I thought they would be. I was afraid to order them because I didn't know if they'd be super filling (they are just the right amount). The summer tomato salad had an amazing ginger dressing and I thought was a pretty decent size for a small plate. The salad changes and uses seasonal ingredients. The peach was great with the tomatoes though I wish the peach had been a little more ripe. The bbq potatoes were great, my boyfriend liked those the most. And we ended with the scallops which were good but only two pieces. Definitely ask for a spoon if you get the scallops so you can make sure and get all the sauce. Overall, it's a very cute spot. Not sure if we'll go back only because it is pretty costly for the amount of food you get. But I do recommend it.
