I currently have a case with BD&J, and my experience with them has been problematic from the beginning. When I first informed them about my accident, I emphasized wanting to start treatment right away. However, it took them about a week to schedule an appointment because in their own words, they "forgot." I reluctantly decided to give them another chance despite having dealt with similar issues with a previous attorney in another accident. BD&J initially referred me to a chiropractor who was ineffective. When I requested to switch, I discovered that the new chiropractor had never been contacted by BD&J, nor had they received the necessary documents to begin my treatment. I had to handle this myself. Around the same time, I received an offer for my totaled motorcycle. After waiting a week and a half for an update, I called the insurance company directly, only to learn they hadn't been contacted by BD&J. I was very frustrated, so I collected all the receipts myself and sent them to Katherine who was assisting my case manager Hazel. I never received a follow-up call or text from Katherine. After two weeks of waiting, I finally reached Hazel, but when I started listing my concerns, she audibly sighed in frustration. When I addressed this, she denied being upset, though her tone said otherwise. Overall, BD&J has consistently demonstrated poor communication, a lack of professionalism, and inadequate time management. Rather than taking accountability for their mistakes, they often deflect responsibility with excuses like, "I'll give them a call now." For example, it took them an additional week to approve my surgery, even after being informed it was urgent. After months of frustration, I requested a new case manager and was assigned Brianna. From the start, Brianna has been incredible, she's knowledgeable, respectful, and highly communicative. Her dedication and core values are the only reason I decided to stay with the firm. Without her, I would have left and sought care elsewhere. Another issue I faced was with attorney changes. My attorney was switched four times without any notice. Instead of proactive communication, I had to reach out to my previous attorney, only to find out they were no longer handling my case. It typically took a week to get in touch with the new attorney. Interestingly, once the firm realized the value of my case, their service suddenly improved. One incident that stands out to me: I was called into the office to discuss my case, and while waiting, I overheard the receptionist asking other clients about their experiences. When those clients said their experience was "amazing," they were encouraged to leave positive reviews and received gift bags. When asked about my experience, I was honest about my dissatisfaction. Instead of addressing my concerns or asking how they could improve they simply disregarded me and walked away. In my opinion, BD&J prioritizes cases based on their value. If your case isn't worth much, don't expect exceptional service. Other reviews confirm similar issues with poor communication and a lack of integrity. This was a great experience considering most of the communication was via phone as the firm was not local, I was flown in a couple of times to meet with my Attorney.
