He was asked to pay a $350 deposit yesterday, which he sent by Venmo to Rachel Hayes at her direction. He drove from our house in the Astrodome area to his dad's house to meet them. Rachel texted him before 10:00 to say they were running just a bit late but would be there asap. Steve texted her about THREE hours later and she said she was stuck in traffic on 610. He asked if she wanted to reschedule, and she said no. And then he never heard from her again. He texted her, and she saw the text, but didn't respond. He texted again, and she didn't even look at it. He paid $350, got no trees trimmed, and spent an entire day waiting for Rachel and her crew to show up. Unacceptable business practices. Pearland Tree Service owes him a $350 refund and an apology.

He came out and…read morequoted me nearly $4000 (yes that's correct) to remove branches on my back lawn from half a tree that had been cut down in order to restore power after a storm. Over the next 2 hours that quote went to $3300, then $2900. I called another company who removed the tree limbs the same day for $400 (yes, that is 90% less than Jesse's initial quote). He kept telling me it would take 6-7 guys to remove the tree debris from the backyard. The guy we wound up hiring had it done himself in an hour and a half. Shame on you, Jesse, for trying to take advantage of a single female in the aftermath of a severe storm that knocked out power to over a million people in this town.
